《Caves of Gods》8: The Meeting with Thessaly

Journal,
Right now, I'm in a dark cave. I'm using a small fire to help write. Let me tell you what happened today. I woke with Abaddon shaking me. I was having a dream about eating a giant chocolate shake.
"Aahhhhh," I yelled, "What's happening?"
"We need to leave to meet with Fiona." Abaddon replied.
"Cool," I said.
"Let's see if your yell woke up Abgail and Olive." Abaddon said.
"They aren't awake?" I asked.
"No, it's still dark outside." Abaddon replied.
"Why, I don't think Fiona is even awake?" I questioned.
"It's just to make sure," Abaddon replied.
"Okay," I said.
"Now get up and get your stuff." he commanded. I got and got up my stuff. Abaddon wrote a quick letter to Abigail and Olive. We got out of the room. When we got to the kitchen, I got a glass of water.
Abaddon and I got out of the house quietly and went to the shore. We walked through the silent, dark, and cold town. I looked around and saw fog surrounding the town. As we walked through town, I saw stores lighting up and opening. I wanted to stop for breakfast, but Abaddon said if Fiona isn't there on the shores, we will get breakfast. I took a few minutes but we got to the shores. We noticed Fiona wasn't there but, sat down and saw dawn breaking through the night. The sun was popping out and forging colors. The colors of the horizon were blue, green, red, orange, and yellow.
We went to get breakfast after an hour of waiting. We went to a restaurant called The Tiniest Orange I ate a chocolate bread and tater tots. I had a glass of orange juice too. We went back to the shore and waited for three hours. I took of my shoes, rolled up my pants, and went to into the ocean. Abaddon looked around and then transformed into a horse. He ran into the ocean and win he saw my head near him he ran back. He did it again and again until he was walking on top of the water. I looked at him in awe.

"Hey, can you teach me how to walk on water?" I asked.
"Only god thing," he replied.
"I know it just looks so cool." I stated. I went onto the shore, dried my feet, put my shoes on, and rolled down my pants. Abaddon ran backed again and again. He stopped after an hour and sat down and waited with me.
"Hey," Abaddon started saying, "There's a library in town if we can go over there and get a book."
"Okay," I stated. After an hour, I saw Fiona and pointed to her.
"Don't point, Jeffrey," Abaddon said before realizing I was pointing to Fiona. Abaddon then saw that I was at Fiona.
"Fiona," Abaddon yelled. Abaddon started running to Fiona. He ran so fast he almost turned into his original form. He stopped forming into his original when he felled down like a goof. I started to chuckle but quickly stopped after he got up and looked at me.
"Where were you for five hours?" Abaddon asked in a rushed and angry voice.
"Five hours? I was woke up four hours ago," she replied.
"So, we didn't have to come here before dawn?" I retorted.
"No, and I would have waited for you guys even if you came at noon." She spoke.
"See, I don't think Abaddon trusts you" I said.
"Do you trust me, Abaddon?" she asked.
"Wait, wait, before I answer that question. Let me ask you a question. Where were you for those four hours?" Abaddon asked.
"I was looking for you around the shores and getting breakfast." she answered, "Know do you trust me?"
"Enough," Abaddon replied.
"What is enough?" She asked.
"Enough to lead us to Thessaly." Abaddon replied.
"Fine whatever. Go straight forward for a mile and then for the next twenty miles go left." Fiona said.

"Okay," Abaddon stated and looked around for a minute and then said, "Jeffrey when I transform you and Fiona ride me."
"Wait, does Fiona wanna go?" I asked.
"Yes," Fiona answered quickly.
"Okay," I said.
"Okay," Fiona said. Abaddon transformed into his horse form. Fiona and I climbed on Abaddon. I got on first and Fiona got on and held my waist side. When I noticed this, and I looked to her.
"What," she asked, "You've ridden him before."
"Oh, okay," I said. I held Abaddon and he started running. I looked around to make sure no one was watching us. No one were on the beaches. It made sense the day was cold and grey. The ocean was also freezing. After thirty minutes, we got to a small beach with a cave. I got off Abaddon and after me so did Fiona. We walked near the cave.
"Are you sure?" Abaddon asked to Fiona.
"Yes, in here is Thessaly." Fiona said.
"Okay," Abaddon said, "Stay here, I'll go in here first."
"Okay," Fiona and I spoke. Abaddon went in. After a minute, the cave lit up.
"How do you know Thessaly is in here?" I asked.
"A month ago, I got stuck in a temperate rainforest with my friend Toby in Canada. We found a cave to shelter in. I found four gems. The colors of the gems were purple, aquamarine, white, and scarlet. A week later, I got a message from Cyna. Cyna is Abaddon's daughter and Thessaly's son-" she said.
"Thessaly is Abaddon's son?" I asked interrupting her.
"Yes, anyway, she explained to me the world and her role in it. Then, she told four other things. The first thing is to be careful with the gems. The second thing is the location of Thessaly. The third thing, is to leave my friend, Toby but go find her after. After, she told me to find a young, black boy with criticism in his eyes whose name was Jeffrey that was with a man too handsome to be human."
"Oh, okay," I said. When I finished my saying, Abaddon came running to us.
"Jeffrey, Fiona come with me." he said then ran to the cave. Fiona and I looked at each other. We ran to follow Abaddon. After a few minutes of running, Abaddon stopped us. Abaddon then walked. We walked after him. Then I saw Thessaly. Thessaly is a beautiful blue horse with an aquamarine mane. A small fire was in the air near her.
"This is Thessaly." Abaddon introduced him, "This is Jeffrey and Fiona." Thessaly turned into a human with blonde hair and sea green eyes. He then took out his hand. I shook his hand. Then he offered it to Fiona. Fiona shook his hand. Thessaly talked to us and gave Abaddon two scrolls. After a few minutes, Thessaly made us sandwiches. After Fiona finished her lunch, she went off to find Toby. Thessaly told me stories for hours while Abaddon examined the scrolls. Abaddon and I had dinner. An hour later, he told us to go to stay here and go to bed. Now, here we are. I wonder when Fiona is coming. It might be nice to meet Toby.

The Yes-Mage
Plenty of people have stopped and asked what it'd be like to simply have everything, and Sylvain Henry Camille Johansson was no different. He was a man who had a lot of things going on, with a name that'd make a supervillain blush and a family who'd make even the useless of their rank into someone important. It was a shame, then, that he was slapped with a dreadfully unfortunate condition that kept him from living up to any of those already low expectations. Stuck living a life where magic is everywhere while he's left working with nothing more than a moderate intellect, a little bit of whatever influence he could get from his family, and a lifetime's practice at making himself the ideal subordinate for his bosses' boss, Vane was still beating the odds and slowly working his way up in the world. When the cunning yes-man finally got a chance to really make a name for himself, he leapt at the offer, taking his first real step onto a road he knew he was always meant to walk. His goal? Nothing less than finding out why he and too many other unfortunate souls are barred from the wonderful world of the higher energies, and with any luck, fixing it. Of course, life has a knack for interfering in even the humblest of plans, and Vane's lofty ideals were anything but humble; he was practically a walking bullseye for disaster. The funny thing about catastrophe, though, is that nobody can ever say what form it's going to take. That’s why, when it all went wrong for Vane, he'd gotten everything he'd ever wanted foisted onto him, and Everything else, too. Watch as a man so used to saying 'yes' to everyone above him finds himself stuck with the power to make reality itself say it back.
