Since the beginning, he didn't have any thoughts of letting Charlotte part take in any battle even if she have some power, but now that he know that she is part Celestial, that is enough to attract some trouble especially those with not very nice purposes like a certain floating planet.

Also Charlotte while didn't actively pursue a career of fighting crimes but she always does everything she can to help other.

Helping elderly people cross the road, climbing up to get a pet cat for some kids, even chasing a purse snatcher once.

This have cause her troubles in the past but she still held strong to her beliefs and stood firm in face of all the opinions on her actions.

Jay often face-palm at her impulsive and reckless actions but he knows her too well to stop her so he always keeping an eye on her through the Shadow in order to protect her.

This is the reasons that Jay find Charlotte attractive, something that he does not have, a sense of justice, while he considered himself to be more of a anti hero person or mercenary.

Although he can protect her, but he can't always do that so instead of letting it work out like in cliche movie where the bad guys somehow captured or kill her cause she weak, he may as well make her super strong and get through all that cliche development.

He face Charlotte and ask her for agreement.

"Do you want one? If you don't want to be a hero then i won't force you, i can always do my best to protect you"

Charlotte hesitate in front of a chance to gain a weapon of gods but then hearing her boyfriend words she become more firm of her choice.

"Yes!"

She don't want to be someone that always stand behind Jay, while being protected by him warm her heart. But Charlotte does not want to be a burden to him, no, she want to stand beside him as someone equal and not just a normal girl.

"Well okay then, do you want any customization? Like a pink blade for a heart shaped handle. May as well tell him, it your weapon so think carefully "

Jay said while pointing at Odin like he was some clerk taking order and if the Dwarf hear his word they would have throw him into their forge and burn him alive.

Charlotte then think carefully on what she want to use before telling Odin of her choice. Hearing her wish Odin nod.

"A shields strong as a wall to protect those important to you and a sword sharp as the mightiest blade to vanquished those meant you harm, very well."

Smiling a bit awkward at his exaggerate description of her weapon of choice, Charlotte jokingly said to Jay.

“Don’t worry,” she said. “If the bad guy comes, I’ll protect you.”

Amuse at her words Jay play along.

“If the bad man comes,” Jay responded while faking a scare face.

“I’ll bravely give out a high-pitched scream to distract him. I may even bravely faint, to give him a false sense of security. That will be your signal to strike.”

“We will make a great team!.”

“Just don’t forget to stand in front of me the whole time. "

Odin laughed at the pair of love birds joking arounds, which reminding him of his young self and his beloved wife Frigga.

After a while of idle chatting with Odin, Jay and Charlotte is sent back to New Mexico, much to Fury and Coulson confusion, thinking that they being abducted by alien.

Jay was too lazy so Charlotte have to explain that Odin just teleport them to him to have a talk. The content of their conversation was keep a secrets from SHIELD though as Jay doesn't want they to know that Charlotte true origin or that will get a hold of a superweapon.

Such news would bring nothing but trouble, Fury would want her in the Avenger initiative and the government would want her to hand the weapons over to them for national interest.

It sound like a pain in the ass so he doesn't it to happen,at least not now.

So the logical decision Jay came to is be mysterious. When Jay was immersed in how cool and mysteious he is and Charlotte rolling her eyes at his attitude, a voice speak on the coms of Nick Fury.

"Sir, someone have breached the perimeter. Do you want us to take him down, sir?"

Just when Fury want to tell the agent to capture and interrogate him, Jay stop him.

"Director Fury, i think you should just let him in, also tell your men to perpare a room for our prince."

Fury was confused a bit before realizing what he meant and quickly order his men.
