《To The Land of Nyx》Chapter 0

The heavy downpour was a soothing melody to Howard Falcon.
The nobleman was settled in his office, taking in the fervent showers drumming against the glass panes. He sighed softly and finally lifted a parchment—it was an invitation of Lord Wes. A small grumble would escape his lips, another party, and another chance for that hog of a lord to squander around his wealth. The noble moved to pick up his teacup, and taking a small sip before a grimace would cross his features. It was cold.
He would put the teacup back in its saucer, silently wishing for hot tea and then took his quill. Formalities required of him to reply, and so Howard pulled an empty parchment onto his desk, smoothing it slightly against the oaken wood. Dabbing some ink on the quill, he proceeded to write—he bolted up at the crash of the doors. The parchment now looked like a chicken’s scrawling, he clicked his tongue. Now who would-?
Lifting his gaze provided him the view of his lovely wife underneath the pale moonlight.
He sighed, how could he be upset right now? Beautiful red hair paired with enchanting green eyes that matched the gown she was wearing. It was like the Starlight ball that occurred two decades ago. She strode up to him and slammed her hands on the table, jostling the papers and his teacup.
“You!” She said.
Vehemence dripped in her tone, eyes flashing at him as she snarled and leaned close to him. How lovely indeed.
“Yes, me?” He asked.
Maybe humour could solve the tension a little bit? He eyed the teacup that nearly fell off the edge. The nobleman would move it closer to the centre of the table, letter forgotten.
“You haven’t called off the envoy at all did you?!” His wife crossed her arms.

“It was His Majesty’s orders, how could I disagree?” he sighed.
“Your kids will be endangered and that’s all you can think off?!” she exclaimed, her voice on the edge of shrieking.
He returned his gaze to his wife, now that she was closer, fine lines were evident in her face and crow’s feet surrounded her eyes. Not that it marred her features at all. However it was quite obvious that she was displeased, even more with his lack of a reply.
“Why couldn’t you have left for Zourian then?” she asked him, quieter but still hurtful.
Her bitter words failed to rile him up. Howard Falcon merely held back from shaking his head, expect his wife to prefer him to go away.
“You know my responsibilities require me to stay in the estate.” He said.
“Excuses!”
He watched the woman pace back and forth inside his room. Her stilettos raking against the floor, at this rate, his rug would be shred in two. The noble decided to be silent as his wife fumed, but he knew it would be a hopeless case until he offered solace.
“Eva, my butler shall accompany them.” he said and tried to smile at her.
The woman turned to gaze at him, her expression livid before she stormed out of the room—leaving words that gave him a headache.
“What could one man do against the land of death?!”

End's End
Crow Tempora is an optimistic country bumpkin who knows very little of life in the heart of the world's cities, however behind his easy smile is a stony determination to achieve his goal of accomplishing the impossible- one that he can only reach by winning the Sieve, the largest competition of young Mystics the world has ever seen. Famous across the entire world and loved almost as widely, Gemini Menza has never known a single day of anonymity in her short life. Like most magical prodigies she has spent her years on guard against powerful Immortals attempting to use her as a tool, unlike most she is uniquely gifted and burdened with the position of being the single most magically prodigious individual of her generation- perhaps throughout all of history. Entering the Sieve not to work for victory, but to collect it as a boring chore, she soon finds herself shocked by the difficulty of her tasks, both inside the contest and out. After all, she was also given the privilege of joining at a younger age than anyone else. Machiavellian manipulator Unity Eden is growing tired of the tasks forced onto him by those who control him, unfortunately he also happens to be controlled by the leaders of the largest empire the world has ever seen. While he has little hope of wriggling his way out of it, he intends to make his entry into the Sieve as damaging to them as he can. While most are fixated on the events of the Sieve's stages, intently watching the young and talented as they go head to head to find out who holds the title of strongest, Karma Alabaster has her eyes on the powers behind the curtains- the endless machinations of the Immortals and their servants. Caught between enough crisscrossing schemes to form a spiderweb, she must use every ounce of her not inconsiderable mind to keep herself from playing into another's hands... all while solving a mysterious and seemingly impossible murder. The winds of change are blowing in Bermuda, and only one person will shape them. Cover art by: Nova @no_no_nova on tiktok @no_no_no_nova on ig THREE NEW CHAPTERS POSTED EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

Mana Soul
Like many others across the multiverse, Markus was chosen as this world's hero to fight against the steadily approaching cataclysm. Only, something went horribly wrong. Left with only a handful of memories, Markus has spent years clawing his way up from poverty and officially registered as an adventurer to try and make his fortune. Unfortunately, Artificers are the least combat-capable class of the four classes, and Markus has no connections to join an established party. With the fate of countless worlds hanging in the balance, a chance meeting will determine the course of a war nearly as old as reality itself. Warning: Markus has trauma induced amnesia and will occasionally 'act out of character' or make 'poorly thought out' decisions. These events are rather obvously telegraphed abd represent conflicts between his current personality and the one repressed alongside his trauma. Just something to bear in mind. The story will bounce predominantly back and forth between the primary protagonists every couple of chapters. The time stream is linear, so events are not revisted/rehashed/retold through the narrative format. Characters may comment on something that has occurred, but that's different. Just giving a heads up.Chapters will be around 7-9k and updated 1/week on the same schedule as my other story Ogre Tyrant over the weekend.[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]
