Chapter 7 - Setting Off
…
The staff hurriedly entered the room along with their manager and bowed apologetically.
“M-miss Xia, we’re extremely sorry for what happened. That man... H-he initially had a reservation in this room, but we canceled it as soon as we saw you and this happened… P-please forgive us!”
The manager was sweating buckets as he sought forgiveness from Xia Qiu.
“Don’t fret, I know it’s partially my fault for coming in without any notice. But please install more security as I don’t want anybody to suddenly come barging in next time.”
Xia Qiu said nonchalantly as she discreetly eyed Li Qu to look at his reaction.
Li Qu had a little smile and noticed her small actions.
‘She’s pretty interesting, her mood changes like the ever-flowing water.’
Xia Qiu’s expression reverted back as if the whole incident did not happen and continued on from where they left off.
“Sorry for this farce, Li Qu. Anyway, where were we? Oh! You should try their Rosemary Chicken infused with Wuxiang sauce, it is absolutely delicious! I will always order it whenever I’m here. I have already ordered a lot of stuff so be prepared to eat till your stomach bursts!”
…
While the pair was in the VIP room…
“Tch, what a waste of time. I didn’t even trigger any reaction at all from that guy! I don’t believe what the higher-ups are saying at all. What bullshit is that? Travelled from Hua Country to Hua Town in New Yolk in a few seconds? Pfft, all this planning just to test him out!”
Said the seemingly refined young man arrogantly, as he dusted his hands after walking out of an alley with what seemed like an unconscious person seemingly camouflaged between the numerous black bags of rubbish thrown out by restaurants behind him.
The young man took out the phone from his pocket and dialed a number that was apparently on speed dial.

“Boss, this is Mike.”
“…So, what did you find out?”
The boss replied after a few seconds of silence.
“I did not detect anything strange from him, as if he was just a normal person with no powers. But there will be a minor inconvenience as her bodyguard was being too nosy so I just knocked him unconscious. But Boss, do we really need to do all this just to test his reaction? That cosplaying b*stard.”
“Don’t be rash. He is an unidentified existence and is most probably highly dangerous. I’ll settle it for you, do a good job and don’t lose track of him. Contact me at once if you discover anything.”
The boss warned Mike in a grave tone, but Mike seemed to shrug it off.
“Yes, I understand… I will keep track of him.”
'Tsk, why go through all these just to test him? I bet I could beat him in 5 seconds. I don't believe what they said at all!'
The conversation on the phone ended while Mike kept his phone back in his pocket while sneering and went to a nearby café.
…
Li Qu withdrew his Spiritual Sense and gave a cold smile.
‘To dare keep an eye on me… How did they even find out about my existence? I’m pretty sure I didn't leave any traces.’
What Li Qu did not know of was that technology on Earth was pretty advanced compared to where he was, where there was no scientific technology at all as everyone was using their cultivation powers to get things done.
Even if they could not detect his Immortal Qi and his cultivation base, they could detect the disturbance of an irregular electro-magnetic field with the right equipment and satellite infrastructures when he opened up the portal.
Xia Qiu was busy eating and did not notice his face. If she did, she would be in another daze as the cold smile Li Qu was making was too much for the young girl to handle.

Li Qu ate a few mouthfuls of the dishes in front of him and muttered,
“It is indeed pretty good for mortal standards, but compared to the dishes I create, it would be like heaven and earth!”
“Huh? Did you say something? Is the food good?! I told you right, it’s so good! They have a Misherin Star for a reason!”
It was lucky Xia Qiu did not hear what he said as she was too busy eating, if not there would be some minor misunderstandings.
Li Qu just smiled.
…
After they finished eating, the manager once again came in and bowed while saying,
“This meal is on us, Miss Xia. Once again, we deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.”
“It’s alright. I’m just annoyed by the sudden intrusion. Let’s go, B-Brother Li!”
Although Xia Qiu looked as if there was more than what meets the eyes, she would still take her chances to further deepen ties with the relationship of an impossibly handsome and elegant young man.
As they walked out of the restaurant, Li Qu asked Xia Qiu casually,
“Where did your bodyguard go? It seems like he’s taking quite long to return, hmm?”
Xia Qiu's gaze turned a little serious, as she caught the hint Li Qu was giving and made a phone call.
“Dad, it’s me! Can you help me take a look at where Ying is…? N-no, it’s nothing too serious, I hope… I got it, bye Dad!”
She hung up and looked at Li Qu with an inquiring gaze, but Li Qu just smiled and switched the topic.
“Now, bring me to the location that you mentioned earlier, was the best place for the teahouse.”
“I’ve been wanting to ask you, but why would you want to set up a teahouse at your young age? I thought only oldies drink tea, and why are you wearing clothes like these!”
Xia Qiu decided to just ignore the questions she had in her head for the time being as her father would find out more for her, which was what he always did and asked Li Qu as she was curious why a young man like him would behave like an elderly and set up a teahouse.
“It can be said to be my dream.”
Li Qu said with a mysterious tone, making Xia Qiu puzzled by the vague reply but eager to find out more. But she could not find any entry point to tackle him with more questions.
So, she asked him.
“Ok... D-do you drive? If not, let me drive you there! Old Liu’s teahouse is about five streets down from the restaurant. My car is parked just over there!”
Xia Qiu pointed to the blue VMW i-10 just across the street.
It had the appearance of a roaring futuristic car. With the front of the car looking like a cyborg, ready to rush past all obstacles. Capturing the attention of people passing by while some of them taking pictures like it was a rare exhibit.
Li Qu automatically assumed that the ‘car’ she was talking about was all those weird but cool-looking electrical transportation devices all around them.
“I will have the pleasure of sitting in your car then.”
Li Qu said with a charming smile.
“C’mon B-Brother Li, let’s go!”
As she unlocked the door of her car, the car door slid up smoothly, pointing towards the sky. Different from the conventional cars as the opened sideways.
As they got in the car, the car starting with a resounding vroom as it shot down the road with a bestial yet mechanical roar of the engine.
