******* Carolus' POV *******

It is so early in the morning right now.

The sun is still not in the skies but everyone in my territory is already awake.

At last, they are finally leaving.

Queen Thea and her army are already mounted outside the castle and they are ready to go along with Arthur and his people.

The army is so organized and they are even in battle formation even though they are no enemies to fight.

Queen Thea ordered to her general to stay vigilant until they are out of this forest.

Arthur's people are now riding in horses and they are in the center of the formation which is great since they are thoroughly protected.

I can see Rose still in the center talking to somebody.

She probably thanking the old woman who took care of her while she is unconscious.

I can also see Arthur and Queen Thea starting to ride their way here near the end of the bridge I'm standing.

They quickly dismounted their horse the moment they reached me.

"Once again, thank you, King Carolus, for everything. I promise I will return this favor that my kingdom owed you." Queen Thea quickly said to me while slightly bowing her head.

I got sick and tired of her thanking me but I just nodded my head to her as a sign of respect.

I then quickly remembered something.

"Here. Take this." I said to Queen Thea while touching her left shoulder.

I transferred an ender chest in her inventory.

The way you gave someone your item in your inventory in this world is by touching them.

I learned this while observing everyone in my territory these past few days.

I can see Queen Thea looking at the empty space in front of her and she is quite confused.

She is probably looking at her inventory wondering what did I just gave to her.

"That is an ender chest. I'm the one who crafted it so it is only connected to me. You can use that to send messages and communicate with me. You just have to place it in a secure location." I quickly explained to her how to use an ender chest.

I experimented with how to use the ender chest.

It turns out you can only connect all the ender chest you placed if you are the one who crafted it. It will not work if it belongs to someone else.

The ender chest that I picked up in the nether is still being used as a means to communicate between the pigmen.

I wonder why they didn't change their ender chests?

They probably know that I stole one their ender chest.

I just ignored it since it is pretty useful to know the activities of the pigmen.

I can see Queen Thea is still confused but she just nodded her head.

"Oh. Remember to put it in a place you sure you want to put it since you don't have a diamond pickaxe to break it." I quickly reminded her.

She nodded her head again and then she turned around to mount her horse and go to her army.

Arthur then stepped forward after seeing me and Queen Thea finished our conversation.

"King Carolus. Thank y..."

I immediately interrupted him by raising my hand.

Look. I know you people are grateful but a single thank you is already enough.

Arthur stared at me for a moment.

He then equipped a diamond spear in his hand.

"I supposed I have to return it to you." He said to me while handing over the spear.

I didn't receive it and just pushed it back to him.

"No. Keep it. You still need it."

I can see a shock in his eyes but he just nodded his head.

I heard him saying something to Queen Thea about saving his people in the Kingdom of Chaephitopia.

I don't know what his plan is but that diamond spear will absolutely help him in his rescue mission.

I really want to help him rescue his people but I'm already stuck in this world long enough and I really want to get home.

I need to go talk to the goddess and ask her to send me back to my own world.

He said his goodbyes once again and mounted his horse to leave.

I watch him slowly moving away towards the rest of his people.

I also see the children standing up in their horses waving their hands at me.

Damn.

They haven't left yet but I already miss them.

I also wave my hand back at them while smiling.

I can hear Queen Thea ordering to start moving.

They are now galloping west back to their kingdom.

I was worried about them but they are probably fine since I gave them enough food for three months and I also gave them resources to rebuild their villages.

I can see Rose starting walk towards me.

I just turned myself around and started walking towards the castle.

I can hear Rose started running.

"What are you doing?" I can hear her asking me a question.

I didn't turn around and just continued walking.

"Back to my castle," I answered her while maintaining my walking speed.

"No! You have to come with me!" She quickly shouted at me while trying to grab my left shoulder to stop me.

I'm a lot stronger than her so she just starting to get drag in her feet while I just continued walking.

I let out a huge breathe of annoyance and stop walking.

I then face her.

"I can't let you run away again from your destiny."

She is now holding a bow and arrow in her hand.

Okay.

"And your plan of convincing me is by shooting an arrow?" I asked her this question since I'm starting to wonder what she is thinking right now.

I already plan to travel with her back to her kingdom in the northwest from here so why is she doing this?

I can see her nock an arrow and starting to draw her bow.

She then aimed at me.

'She can't possibly shoot me.'

She then released the string of the bow and let the arrow loose.

'Okay. She is crazier than I thought.'

The arrow flies straight towards my head but before it hit me, I just grab it with my right hand.

I know I can just twist my head to avoid it but my perception of time is starting to change since I can now see fast moving things so clearly.

This is probably because I am now much faster and stronger.

I really don't know what is happening to my body since I tried the eye of ender to myself, it just displayed my regular status and nothing more.

I wonder if the eye of ender only works to another being and not yourself?

This is the reason why I still don't know what she is talking about.

She was really shocked that I'm able to catch an arrow in mid-flight.

She then nocks another arrow in her bow.

Dammit, lady.

I equipped my bow in left hand.

I used the arrow that I caught to nock in the bow and pulled the string.

I quickly released the arrow before she can release her string.

The arrow then breaks her bow into two and cut the bowstring.

The arrow just barely misses her head and even some of her red hair was cut.

She held what is remaining of her bow in her hands.

I can see sadness starting to fill her face.

"My father's bow." I can hear her saying something while caressing what is left of her bow.

Okay. I made a huge mistake.

Sadness quickly faded in her face and then I can see her filled with so much hate.

She threw away her bow and quickly equipped a dagger in her right hand.

She then started to charge at me.

'How about we calm down and let's talk this out.' I just said in my head while watching her about to attack me.

I got no choice.

I grabbed her hand before the dagger hits me and then karate chop her in her neck to sleep.

She quickly fainted.

I made sure to only use a little bit of force to make sure she won't die.

I put her on the ground for the meantime and picked up her broken bow.

I then carry her in my arms like a princess and started walking back towards the castle keep.

I put her in the room on the second floor where she is taken cared of while she is unconscious from being cured.

I also placed my diamond bow and wrote a note in the chair beside the bed.

I know that iron bow she has was important to her since I heard her it is from her father and I can just fix it but she needs a better weapon if she wants to travel in this forest.

I also need to give her armor.

I leave the room after writing the note and started walking to the third floor to start crafting and enchanting an armor.

I also decided to make another diamond bow and another spear since it is pretty useful to have multiple weapons you can use in the battle.

I quickly get work while wondering when she is going to wake up.

******* Rose's POV *******

I can see so many phantoms in the dark sky.

So many soldiers are frantically shotting arrows and bolts to kill them.

My father is one of them.

He is the Lord in charge of the eastern border.

I'm with him right now to visit him and to see the ocean.

This invasion was unexpected so I'm now hiding in the Lord's castle.

I can barely see what is happening outside since the windows of this castle are so small to make sure none of the phantoms get through.

I can see the soldiers struggling and most of them are now dead or being carried into the sky by the much bigger phantoms.

The door of the Lord's room suddenly burst open and I can see my father and a bunch of soldiers behind him.

"We can still hold the border until the reinforcements arrive but I need you to take my little girl back to the capital." I can hear my father talking to one of his soldiers.

The soldier then bows his head and started to jog towards me.

The soldier tried to carry me but I just dodge him.

He managed to grab after a while.

"No! Let go of me! I'm not going anywhere!" I quickly shouted at the soldier while trying to struggle his hold on me.

I can see in the soldier face the confusion since he doesn't know what to do.

My father quickly walked towards me and kneel with one leg to face me eye to eye.

"Look, Rose. I know you are scared and confused but your father will take care of this like he also does." He quickly said to me while smiling so brightly.

He then hugged me really tight and kissed my forehead.

All my fears are now gone and I now feel so much safe.

"I love you, baby girl."

"I love you, dad."

He let go of me after a moment and then hand me over to the soldier.

The soldier quickly held me in his arms and we are now starting to run towards the door.

"Look at your inventory, Rose! I gave you something special!." I can hear my voice while we are now running towards the stables.

I quickly look at my inventory to see that there is a bow made of iron.

I suddenly heard a loud screeching sound coming from the sky while we are now on the field.

I tried to look past the head of the soldier to see that my father is now holding a bow fighting a really big phantom.

He managed to shoot a couple of arrows before he was grabbed by the giant phantom.

"NOOO!" I shouted really loud while watching him being drag away in the sky.

I tried to convince the soldier to turn around to save my father but he just continued running forward.

My eyes quickly opened and I can see a stone ceiling and a glowstone.

I quickly get up and wipe away my tears.
