******* Captain Merek's POV *******

Stupid idiot.

Did he really think that I will not attack this castle?

We arrived here a couple of hours ago and was so surprised to see a really well-built castle.

We don't know what it is but it is really beautiful so it is probably owned by a rich person.

I don't know what to do if ever the people we are chasing is inside that castle since I don't have enough soldiers for a siege but my worry is unnecessary.

I have this place thoroughly scouted from a distance and was surprised to know that there was no one manning the walls and towers. It even only has a single entrance though I don't see any bridge to get to the gate.

It is really weird.

I organized my army into battle position and slowly moved them forward to see if I can get a reaction from the castle.

After a while, I see only see two people standing on top of the wall.

I see the spearman and a person that I haven't seen before.

He is probably the owner of this place.

My plan is if ever the people I'm chasing is not here is I'm just going to ask the people in this place if there are any sightings but I suddenly I saw the spearman and immediately show hostility.

I don't know what the owner of this place is thinking of living in this forest. He probably doesn't fear the monster in here but he never met me. I will show him what will happen to the people who get in my way.

There is still a problem with that spearman but he is so outnumbered. He probably will kill about a dozen or so of my people before he goes down but I don't care about them.

There is no hope for these people. They got nowhere to run.

There are about 2 blocks away before the foot soldiers reach the moat when suddenly the other man jumps off the wall.

He is now wearing blue armor, a shield, and a sword.

He swings his sword down towards a soldier who is in the very front and cut him into two before his feet touch the ground.

"What just happened?" I can hear someone beside me saying something but I ignored him since I am in shock of what just happened.

He just cut a person in half with a single swing.

I haven't seen anything like that.

He is also fine even jumping from a great height.

Who is he? Is he even human?

No. He is human and only just one man. How can he stop my entire army?

"Don't be intimidated! He is stupid enough to come to us! Surround him and kill him!" I shouted to all of my soldiers since they stop moving and just keep staring on the person.

They just keep standing for a while even though I have given them orders but after a moment they charge him together.

'Why did you have to leave your castle and come to us? You are dead now.' I said to myself proudly.

But contrary to my belief, he just chopped off three of my soldier's head in one swing then go on killing them one by one.

I can't believe what I'm seeing.

Every person that gets near him will be cut into two along with their armor and weapon.

Those armors and weapons have the best enchantments. How can they break easily like that?

None of their weapons even managed to touch him and they just get killed immediately.

"That is not possible." I suddenly said out loud.

I didn't notice that I said something stupid and I can see my soldiers around me starting to panic.

I have to do something.

He already killed about half of my foot soldiers and he still keeps on going.

"Archers! Nock your arrows!" I ordered my archers but they didn't move and I can see in their eyes that they are questioning my command.

"But captain, our foot soldiers are still fighting. We will hit them if we fire our arrows." The vice-captain suddenly protested.

"I don't care! I said NOCK YOUR ARROWS!" I shouted as loud as I can and even though they still reluctant on following my order, they ready their bows.

"DRAW!" They pulled back the strings of their bows.

I can hear someone in the archers muttering 'Forgive me' but I ignored him. I don't care about your lives. I only care about mine.

"LOOSE!"

A volley of arrows was seen flying towards the general direction of the target but he didn't even bother to cover himself with his shield.

All the arrows managed to hit someone but the person I want to get hit didn't even have a scratch. The arrows that managed to hit him just bounce off his armor.

I can see most of my foot soldiers died because of the arrows. I can also see some of them managed to survive and now on the ground crying for help.

I started to panic.

"FIRE AT WILL! FIRE AT WILL!" I quickly shouted to my archers.

This is not a human being we are facing.

This is a monster.

I can see arrows being fired but he just keeps on standing still and just let the arrow hit him.

He is still unhurt and some of the arrows being shot managed to finish off the injured foot soldiers.

All of my foot soldiers are now dead on the ground. All 30 of them.

I can see him starting to walk here.

He just casually keeps walking and the arrows didn't even slow him down like they are just slow breeze of air touching his body.

"Who is that!? That is not a human! That is a monster! I don't want to die here!" I can hear my vice-captain saying this and he is starting to turn around and run.

All of my mounted soldiers also started to follow him.

"TRAITORS! I WILL GET YOU PUNISHED FOR THIS!" I shouted at them but they didn't listen.

I turn my head back front and see him already in front of us.

How did he get here so quick? I also didn't hear any footsteps like his feet is not even touching the ground.

He started killing my archers and it didn't take long before all them are dead.

I steered my horse around to also start running but my horse suddenly falls down.

I hit the ground pretty hard and rolled for about 4 blocks.

I quickly get back on my feet and see that my horse has an arrow on his head.

I can also the blue man who is no longer holding a sword and shield but a blue bow on his hand.

He is starting to walk towards me.

'I'm going to die'

"Stop! I can pay you tons of emeralds!" I quickly said to him.

There is no one in this world who doesn't like money but he didn't answer me and just keeps on walking.

I have an iron sword but I don't think it will work against this monster. I also don't think my iron armor will protect me from him.

"Don't you know who I am? If you hurt me, you will face the wrath of the Xaerin Kingdom!" I suddenly started saying some nonsense things to him.

I'm a nobody in the Kingdom of Xaerin. I didn't even get to see the king the day I was knighted since they said that he has a lot of things to do but I know that was a lie. The king probably doesn't want to waste time on likes of me.

But this person didn't know that. I can just bluff my way into this.

But I can still see him walking towards me with a bow in his hand like my words mean nothing to him.

'I should start running.' I said to myself.

As I'm about to turn around to start running, he suddenly appeared in front of me.

'He is still 5 blocks away from me!'

'How did he get here so fast?!'

But before I can find an answer to my question, I can see him raising his right hand to punch me.

"NO!" I shouted as I tried to cover myself with my hands for the coming attack.

'Stop! I'm not supposed to die here!'

******* Queen Arachne's POV *******

'He is as ruthless as the day I met him.' I said this to myself while watching things from a distance.

I heard from one of my children that there is an army approaching the castle of the lonely king and quickly run to see what he will do.

He didn't disappoint me.

I thought he gone soft since I heard he help a lot of people that recently stumbled in his territory.

Good.

This is the Forest of Monsters. Only monsters are allowed to live here.

I turn around and started running back to my territory.

The world is starting to get interesting.

I lived for centuries and has already forgotten my exact age but this person managed to grab my attention.

I wonder what he will do in the future?

******* Arthur's POV *******

'This is not a battle. This is a massacre.' I said this to myself as I stared at the dead bodies on the ground.

He is like the embodiment of death. He doesn't discriminate. He killed everybody even the one who tried to surrendered.

They didn't get the chance to hit him with their weapons.

I was worried when I see that they about to shoot arrows at him but they didn't even scratch him.

There is nothing but silence now.

Quite a moment has already passed that the smell of the blood has already managed to get to the place I'm standing.

I can see Lord Carolus just standing in the middle of the battlefield.

"ARTHUR! MY HORSE!" I suddenly heard him shouting at me while still staring at the direction where the routed enemies went.

What? Horse?

Oh. Right.

It took me a while to understand what he meant.

I started running down the stairs and quickly headed towards the stables.

I see the horse here and immediate ride on back and moved towards the gate.

I got down the horse and run towards the lever that controls the bridge to pull it and quickly open the gate.

I immediate got back on the horse after opening the gate and quickly moved forward.

I was having trouble concentrating on controlling the horse since I keep seeing dead people in pieces around me but the horse just keeps moving forward like he is already used to this kind of scene.

"Your horse, my lord." I quickly said to him after getting down the horse and offer him the reins.

He quickly grabbed the rein from my hand and got on the horse.

"I didn't kill that guy so grab him and lock him up in the dungeon." He said while pointing on the guy who is on the ground.

I can no longer see the caring lord I know. I can only see a man who wants his enemies dead.

I didn't answer him and just nod my head.

"Also call your people to clean this place up and make sure to burn the bodies. I don't want the blood to attract monsters and make sure to loot everything in their inventory first. Just store the items you gathered in the storage room." He just casually ordered to me.

I didn't answer him and just started to look around the area.

I'm used to seeing dead bodies and I even killed plenty of people but this is my first time seeing them in pieces.

He wants me and my people to clean this?

"Arthur?" he asked me after a while since I didn't answer his question.

"Yes, Lord Carolus," I answered him while bowing my head after a moment.

I raised my head and continue staring at the bodies.

After a while, I turn my head towards him and see that the horse is already wearing a blue armor.

'I wonder what his armor and weapon made of? None of the enemies' weapons managed to hurt him and he killed them so swiftly.' I suddenly asked myself.

He stared his eyes towards me for a moment then he kicked his horse to move it forward.

The horse started running and I was surprised to see that the horse can move that fast.

With that speed, I'm pretty sure they can't outrun him.
