"I hope you can save this world"
A beautiful female voice woke me up.
I opened my eyes and see an oak plank ceiling.
Great. I was hoping to wake up in a hospital. It seems like this is not a dream world at all.
And who is that voice? It's like I was having a conversation with her but I can't remember. No matter how hard I think I can't seem to remember her. All I can remember are those words.
Save the world? It seems this world is about to get destroyed. As if the problems I am facing right now is not enough.
Who is she anyway? Is she the one who put me here? How can I talk to her again? I have to find her.
I got up and started stretching my body.
Everything hurts. My back hurts for sleeping on the floor all night. My hands hurt for all the work I have done yesterday and my mind hurts for thinking so much.
I'm not going to be surprised if I have only 1 heart left in my health bar.
Wait. Now I think about it. In the game, health and hunger bars are always displayed. But I can't see them anywhere. They're not in the inventory.
"Status"
I tried picturing in my mind the health and hunger bar as I say that.
Then a GUI appears in front of me. I was going to try saying 'Character Info' or 'Health Bar' if it didn't work. My experience and knowledge as a game programmer are quite handy here.
It has a Name with a blank beside it. Well, I have a name. I don't know why it is blank here. Below the Name is the health bar and status. There is no hunger bar. I can understand having no hunger bar since I know if hungry or not but what is this status? It says I'm healthy. Okay. Glad to know that. It's kind of redundant to view my status I have to access the status. But I was shocked to see my health bar. Even though the 10 hearts are full I was still surprised and scared to see it. I'm pretty sure this is how the health bar looks like in Hardcore Mode in the game. Which means I have only one life here.
Damn it. I was hoping to have unlimited lives here. The moment all my heart is gone I'm dead. I have to be very careful.
I crafted oak stairs and place one in the back corner of the house facing the door and immediately sit on it like a chair.
This is getting ridiculous.
First, I suddenly got here for no reason.
Second, this world is about to get destroyed and some girl suddenly asks me to save it. That is probably a dream but it is so lucid and considering all the things that are happening to me I am not taking any chances.
And lastly, I have only one life.
In the world where zombies, skeletons wielding a sword and bow, giant spiders, a green creature that is essentially a suicide bomber, slimes, and even a dragon. I have to do this with one life.
You know what. Screw this. I have to get back to my world.
I have to find that woman. She's most likely to have answers to all of my questions. Hell, maybe she's responsible for all of this. But I don't know where to start. I don't even know what she looks like.

Traveling around should be a start.
Maybe there are people like me that got stuck here.
In order to do that, I need supplies. Lots and lots of supplies like food and water. I need clothes too. The clothes that I'm wearing were drenched with sweat yesterday and now it is starting to smell. I have no idea how to make clothes here. I can probably try making it by using wool or leather.
I need armor, weapons, and tools. I'm not going to travel around without any protection or means to defend myself. I don't know how monsters work here or are still the same as in the game. I might encounter a new monster. Tools are useful to gather materials easily. I need to be able to build a house during the nighttime.
Okay. Food, water, clothes, armor, weapons, and tools. I should start working.
Food and water are really essential right now. I have a pond nearby so water should not be a problem. I just need to find a way to be able to carry it with me. The food, however, is a big problem. I only have 5 apples in my inventory. I ate 2 yesterday. I'm not going to chop every oak tree here to gather apples. It's time-consuming and I don't want to eat anything but apples. I should probably try farming. I don't know where I can find carrots, potatoes or beetroot but I can gather seeds from grass to grow some wheat.
I stood up in my chair and head to the door.
Doors crafted here comes with a knob so unless monster here know how to open the door then there is nothing to worry about. Or they could just destroy the door but nothing happened all night while I was sleeping so it is safe to say that this house is quite secure.
I was grateful that the oak doors here are different. They don't have the holes on top like in a game that you will be able to see through. Skeleton archer might come by, peak on the door and see me sleeping and shoot an arrow through the holes. I was worried too if closing everything in the house might stop air circulation and suffocate me to death but the air seems to be able to pass through the closed door. Even a little bit of light can get through so it's not very dark inside the house. I don't know how science works here but I'm not complaining.
Monsters can't be able to see me through the door. The same goes for me. So, I have no clue what is waiting for me outside.
I crafted a wooden sword and equip it with my right hand. I checked the sword if it can be able to cut things. Even though the sword is made of wood it is very sharp.
I slowly open the door. It made creaking sounds which increases the tension.
I step outside and quickly scan the surroundings for hostile mobs. I also check the sides, the back and the roof of the house for any ninja creepers.
One creeper explosion will surely send me to heaven.
But I didn't see any monsters. I don't know where all the monster went or how do they spawn here but I definitely hear strange noises last night. They probably didn't see my house because it is surrounded by densely populated oak trees or they are just stupid. Monsters in the game are not quite smart so maybe it is the same here. Whatever the reason, I'm grateful for not fighting any monsters. I don't know any fighting skills. One zombie is probably enough to kill me.

I put away the wooden sword and started punching grass in the vicinity of the house to gather seeds. Thankfully, there are a lot of them so gathering seeds is not so hard.
I manage to gather 9 seeds. This is probably enough to start a small farm.
I head south towards the pond. I don't have buckets to bring water around so I have to build the farm there.
Then I remembered that I stink a lot. When I reached the pond. I get the bowl that I crafted yesterday from my inventory. I scoop up some water and clean myself in a distance. I really want to take off my clothes and dip in the water but I managed to stop myself. I don't want to dirty the only water supply that I have.
After cleaning myself, I opened up the inventory. I'm running low on planks but I still able to craft a wooden hoe.
I tried to strike the dirt to tilt it but nothing is happening. In the game, one strike is enough to tilt the dirt. I strike the dirt again and again until it changes to farmland.
That took a while. I didn't know that it takes a lot of effort to tilt one block of dirt. I have new found respect for all the farmers in the world.
I continued tilting the ground to create enough farmland to plant the seeds.
After a while, I finished making 9 farmlands in a 3 by 3 position. I created it north of the pond but if I don't have any buckets in the future, I'll probably tilt all the dirt around it. I should also build a fence around it to protect the crops from being trampled. I don't see any mobs or animals nearby but I'm going to build it anyway just in case.
I planted the seeds one by one and after I finished planting, I started chopping wood for the fence.
I am planning to build a 10 by 10 fence. I did quick math in my head to the amount of wood that I need.
After gathering the necessary amount of wood. I crafted 36 oak fences and 1 oak fence gate. I only need 35 oak fences but the crafting recipe for oak fences is 4 planks and 2 sticks per 3. Well, surplus supplies aren't bad. I am also proud of myself to be able to remember the crafting recipes for fences and fence gates.
I began placing the fence around the pond. In the middle of placing the fence, I felt the urge to take a dump. I quickly run deep into the forest and grab some flowers in the way. I don't know how I'm going to this but I dug 2 blocks deep in the ground. I'm really surprised to know that I need to do this sort of thing in this world. I used the flowers I picked up as toilet paper. I really don't know what else could I have used to clean myself. After I'm done, I placed an oak plank beside the hole and crafted a trapdoor to cover the hole. I placed the trapdoor in the oak plank so I can open it upwards. Thankfully the oak trapdoor here is different than in the game. Same with the oak door, oak trapdoor doesn't have holes in it so even though the smell can still pass through at least we can't see it. I started placing oak planks to build an outhouse. I also placed a door in front of it.
Now I have a temporary restroom. I didn't know that I have to this kind of stuff here but I'll probably build a much secure restroom in the future. I don't want monsters attacking me while I'm doing my business.
After building the restroom, I went back to the pond work with the fence and manage to finish it.
Looking at the finished fence on the outside, I began to wonder if mobs can jump over considering it is only 1 block high. I tried jumping over the fence but I can't seem to get inside. Even though the fence looks like it is 1 block high, it feels like it is a little bit higher than that. Then I tried climbing over the fence and I manage to get through. This is could be a problem. What if mobs here know how to climb fences? Well, there is no point worrying about it now. At least they're a little bit of protection for the crops.
There is a lot of time before the sun goes down so I decided to gather more seeds. After a while, I managed to collect 6 more seeds. I should plant this immediately. I don't know how fast crops grow here so it's better to have plenty of them. It's useful to have a bone meal to hasten the growth of the crops but I need bones to be able to craft bone meal and to gather bones I need to fight some skeletons. I don't want to fight monsters right now especially if they're able to attack at long-range.
I tilted 6 more dirt to turn into farmlands and planted the seeds. I have planted a total of 15 seeds so if all of them managed to grow into wheat, I'll be able to make 5 bread. That is not quite plenty to feed me for a long time but I'm planning on expanding the farm.
I was contemplating how fast the crops grow here. The saplings that I planted yesterday didn't grow so it's probably not the same in the game. Well, I still have plenty of apples in my inventory that I can eat. If ever crops here takes weeks or even months to grow, I could just cut down all the oak trees here to gather apples.
As the sun's about to go down, I leave the farm and started walking towards my house.
I arrived home and sat down to the oak stair to rest before sleeping.
After sitting for a while, I lie down on the floor and started to think about what I will be doing tomorrow.
This house has zero protection so I should probably create a fence or wall around it. I have to survey the nearby surroundings too to see if there are useful things that I can use.
As I'm thinking about the things I'm going to do tomorrow, I have fallen asleep.
