~You bring out a part of me I thought I long lost~
Andriet drove along the upper roads of the city. Sprikson's alpha road was designed like an octopus with the Exchange Point at the centre being the body and 8 upper roads that ran above all the city buildings which led to 8 ends of the city. They were good to take if you needed to get from one end to another once you paid the fee.
The smooth motion of her vehicle and the soft hum of the engine made Andriet want to take a nap, but she may be many things but suicidal wasn't one of them.
"A serial attacker, huh." Andriet mused to herself out loud.
Despite how she acted earlier, this kind of mystery really was the kind of thing that made her indifferent self curious and intrigued. She wasn't a thrill seeker, but she had an overly curious disposition.
'If that man wasn't just some random conspiracy theorist, it really makes one curious as to why the Bureau is keeping something so vital from people. Makes one curious indeed.'
'Does the criminal suffer from a split personality, could he have an actual mental issue?'
'Perhaps he is a professional, and the attacked victims were his targets?'
'Or was he once a pure and honest soul that blackened under the face of our capitalist society?'
'Maybe it was our school systems that made him fly off the edge.'
'Which one, which one.'
With her thoughts to keep her company, the silver-haired belle continued a relaxed journey home, the setting sun making her commute even more cozy. She couldn't wait to dive into her bed.
.
.
.
Well, at least she hoped she could dive into her bed, but that wasn't possible now, as another already took her coveted spot.
"Now I get why the three bears got upset at Bronzilocks, she deserved it."
Andriet scowled while looking at the loafer who brazenly occupied her bed, knowing full well her longing to get in it was one of the few things that kept her going throughout work.
As she contemplated whether she should kick the intruder out of her bed, a strong pull propelled her into the cloud-like sheets, and like a snake, strong arms wrap around her, sealing her into a warm embrace.
Incensed, Andriet's flaming eyes connect with the eyes of that mischievous intruder, with the full intent to chew him out. She pointedly stares into the eyes of the messy haired man and what greets her is a beautiful bright smile and sparkling emeralds that hold only her in their full capacity and just like that and many times before she deflates.

"Must you mess with the thing I look forward to most" Andriet turns her entire body to him and asks in a defeated tone.
"Hmm?" his fingers move a tendril of her hair from her face and bring it to his lips."I actually thought finding me here waiting for you in bed would make your coming home happier"
When he finished those words full of meaning, he shimmied down and rested his head on the crux of her neck.
"....."
'This cheeky little-. But did he have to wait in my bed though? oh whatever its not like he is wrong'
Inside a large bedroom under the shine of multiple glowing lights, upon a bed that resembles a sea of clouds, was a man and a woman laying in each other's embrace, resting in the comfort they gave each other.
"Remove it." a velvety yet firm voice breaks the silence.
"Hmm?" a questioning hum rings from the man resting in her arms.
"Re. Move. It."
"Remove what?" he tilts his head up and asks his hot breath sprays on her pale swan-like neck.
"If you do not take your hand from underneath my top right now, I'll snap it."
"Oh, you mean my hand. Dont misunderstand, I was just trying to help you get comfortable you know, I was helping you open your bra." Without a shred of guilt, he explained his 'pure' intentions.
"You are tightly in my arms. The fact that I already removed my bra earlier, I'm sure you can tell." she gives him a hard stare. "Should I help your body feel comfortable by melting your brain? It would probably feel better without the dead weight."
"He he" slowly he withdrew his hand from under her silk top, too slowly though causing Andriet to smack his head.
"Honestly" Andriet huffs and settles back into their embrace which they reversed as her head now laid on his chest and the misbehaving hand rest on her head stroking her hair.
After a moment of quiet.
"Can you really melt brains?"
"Of course not."
"Aw, well that sucks"
"I know right"
Silence once again settles in the room and the only sound heard is the low hum of the rarely used Temperature Control Box. Just as she was about to drift off into the land of dreams, something came to Andriet.
"Hey" Andriet calls out to him without moving her head from his chest so her voice came out muddled.
"..."
"Hey, Cylan" receiving no answer, she looks up at him and calls out again. Upon looking she sees his face is straight with both eyes closed.

'Is he already asleep? Yeah I don't buy it'
"Cylan!"
"Cylan?" she presses down with both palms on the bed and looks closely at him. Andriet uses her pinky to poke his face.
'Maybe he really i-'
Before her thought finishes, his left eye peeks open and his lips slide into a grin.
"So you are awake"
"Yeah babydoll, I heard you, say my name louder" In a low voice these words flow out of his mouth. Andriet's normally expressionless face freezes, and her mouth has a slight gap. She stares at him flabbergasted, and when she sees the red that started to spread on his cheeks, her lips twitched.
"Pft"
"Pft"
"Haha hahaha" Peals of laughter erupt from both of them. A symphony of high and low timbres mix into a joyful piece. Each time their laughters are about to cease it takes just one look at the other's redden and huffing face from laughing to set them back in their laughing tirade.
After a while, Andriet calms down and takes a few breaths to settle herself, but after recalling his words and the bit of embarrassment in his eyes, she burst into a fit of giggles.
"Pft, hehe"
Cylan says nothing but with a sheepish smile looks at the woman besides herself in amusement, as she rolls in his embrace, the dim hue of the lights softens her face making the moment all the more lovely.
'I would gladly make a fool of myself if I get to see you like this more often' was his thoughts toward her merciless laughs.
"B-b-babydoll, I can't believe you called me that. Sure your usual addresses for me are cheesy. But the way you tried to sound all suave as you said the most sticky of endearments was seriously the most mind shaking thing that I have heard today and I even heard about a psychotic attacker. Like 'Yeah baby say my name' hahaha haha. What was that? Andriet looks at the beet-red face and mimics him.
"Alright, alright. Have mercy Etty, please. I regretted it as soon as I said it too." throughly embarrassed by her imitation he pleads for leniency from the silver head giggling to the point her eyes resemble molten lava and tear streaks remained on her face.
Sadly, his words had the opposite effect, because his pleading voice just caused her to erupt into another session of hysterics. Only when she got tired from laughing, her sides ache and he was embarrassed into silence did her joyful snickers cease.
Taking deep breaths, she patted her chest to calm herself. 'Ow my jaw hurt from using muscles I rarely use'.
Andriet took a glance at him and saw that he was pouting, obviously displeased with her mockery. The temptation to laugh again after seeing his face was at a peak but she control it, for she knew it would just make him more peeved.
"Okay, okay I'm done. You can't blame me though, look I got goosebumps from how bad it was." She showcased her arm to him while pointing at it 'look, see there are little goosebumps'. Cylan slightly cast a glance at her arm before turning his head to the side, his lips were drawn in a line and his eyes slightly narrow.
"..."
'This big brat, honestly he is the baby'
Even with her mind brimmed with thoughts criticizing him, there was a soft smile on the fashion queen's lips as she stared at his face.
"Oh, are you mad at me now" Andriette slowly climbed up and straddled him. During their fit of laughter they had both sat up and the fluffy comforter was more than halfway down the bed so as she sat on the man's hard thighs, Andriet's smooth legs were visible as her sleep wear was a silk top and shorts.
"Hey, don't ignore me." Poke
"Cylan" Poke
"Cy~" Poke
"Notice Me~" Poke
With everything she said the woman on top of the man poked his cheek, and under her unrelenting efforts, though it didn't take long for him to cave, with a twitch of his lips a smile returned to the man's face. Seeing this, Andriet grinned and grabbed his face with both hands to look at her.
"Heh, can you say you aren't a big baby now, then what's with all that whining?" teased Cylan, his lips that stretched into a grin made his cheeks scrunch up as she was holding his face.
Andriet leans in and kisses him at the corner of his mouth, which was dangerously close to landing on his lips.
"Well, I learn from the best" Andriet gives him a cheeky grin.
The ginger head just responds with a deadpan stare.
"See, looks like you're learning from me too" Andriet giggles at his expression. At her words, Cylan simply gives up and wraps his arms around her back and draws her nearer to him, ignoring the way his heart sped up.
They both were now face to face with each other and Andriet released his face to play with his hair.
After a while, and his hair had throughly become a mess, Cylan grabbed her clumsy fingers and lay them back down in their previous positions.
"Etty, earlier what is it you wanted to say, you know, before I self destructed?"

8 179HUD: Wargame (Sci-Fi GameLit)
★★★★★UNFRIGGENBELIEVABLE!!!!!! "HUD: Wargame is a sci-fi GameLit worth reading." -TienSwitch ★★★★★Rock-solid FPS GameLit. "Nic - the main character - is an ambitious, hyper-competitive perfectionist, and the story fortunately handles him correctly in that it does not push these traits too far." -Akaso ★★★★★This is a good one! "This is one of those stories where you read the first few paragraphs and can just tell that the author has the chops to tell a story. It's engaging and the rules are well thought out and clearly explained. The action is punchy and exciting. Anyway, read it." -HonourRae In the future, everything is a game. Even war. 18-year-old Nic Sigfried wants the high score. Virtually piloting a real-life robot, he'll face off against his peers with the help of his AI guidance system, RTIFIS. The prize? New worlds across the galaxy that are ripe for human conquest and terraforming. It sounds glamorous on paper, but this job might be more dangerous than he thought... HUD: Wargame is the first of a five-part sci-fi series featuring GameLit elements. HUD: Wargame contains some (simulated) violence and very sparing PG-13 profanity. Updates Monday-Thursday-Saturday.
