《My Birthday Wish to be a Dungeon Master was Granted!》Chapter 35: Tides of War

I slumped back on my bed upon hearing the dreadful information about the war potential of the King. If that huge army attacked Granc, even if it is a siege battle, Granc would not be able to fight back, even with my help. The value for getting the mythical creature’s help just rose in an instant. This could decide whether Granc survives, or is overtaken. And if that happens, I’ll be migrating back to Japan and destroy the door connecting to this world, making it impossible to come back. Although, I might bring back Shironeko, but the golems are impossible, so I would feel sorry for Kaze and the others.
Looking at Kaze, his tense face is still there and is waiting for instructions. If I mess up this next move, I could say goodbye to my dungeon life, and I don’t want that to happen, for the sake of myself, and for Shironeko. My family can also benefit from me doing stuff here, so it could be also said to be a money-earning job.
What should I do? Think, think Daichi…
After what seems to be a minute of pondering, I decided on the direction of my path.
“Kaze, when the news of the Mayor successfully signing the contract reaches here, you are to use 9/10 of the DP in my dungeon to summon monsters to supply the town. Don’t forget to include commander-type monsters to command the regular monsters. Also, if that is still insufficient, I grant you permission to use all of the DP. The outcome of this war will decide the fate of this dungeon, so don’t spare any effort.”
“U-Understood!!”
With a quick salute, Kaze went back to his post.
Lying down on the bed again, fatigue crept up my body and invited me to the world of dreams…

“—ter!! Ma---!!!”
Hnghh… Ughh… So early, who’s calling me?
Opening my heavy eyelids, I saw Shironeko yelling out my name with a tense expression.
“MASTER!! WAKE UP!!!”

“Guh!?”
A strong impact assaulted my body and jolted my mind, causing me to feel awake, but not the good-type of awake.
“Kyaahhh!!!”
After that happened, Shironeko screamed out in pain.
“Shi- Shironeko!?”
I quickly lept up and held her in my arms. She had a pained expression, but that vanished once I worried about her health and held her.
I remembered a manga I read before about a slave harming their master and beeing assaulted with intense pain. Maybe this is the same as that?
“Shironeko!? Are you alright!?”
“Y-Yes… The pain vanished when you held me.”
“Is that so? Thank goodness…”
I felt relieved upon hearing that she was alright. Now then, what was the reason for waking me up with that tense expression?
“Shironeko, why did you wake me up?”
“Ahh! Kaze-sama told me that you have a visitor.”
Hmm…? A visitor?
“Alright, I’ll go there now, please tell Kaze to wait while I get ready.”
“Yes master!!”
With a hop, she quickly went towards Kaze’s room. After I saw her off, I quickly got dressed with my formal clothes. Just because I am a dungeon master, doesn’t mean that I will not use formal clothes.
I got out of my bed room, or the core room, and walked towards Kaze’s room to hear about the visitor. When I arrived however…
“Master…”
I saw Kaze with a face that felt relieved upon seeing me. Looking further, I saw another person in the form of a beautiful girl in her early twenties, but for some reason, I began emanating cold sweat behind my back.
“Looks like he has arrived.”
!?
I felt a chill run down my spine when I heard her talk. My knees are trmbling and my body refused to move… What is happening?
“Ara? It seems like even though you had the gall of giving me a warning about an impending war, if you can’t withstand this amount of bloodlust, it won’t be long before you die a horrible death.”

She made a smile that was as beautiful as the setting sun, but that smile just reminded me of the feeling of death. I forced my body to move and sat down on a chair provided by Kaze in a clumsy manner. Shironeko was glaring at the girl with eyes that seemed to kill.
“Hmm… It seems that this young girl has more worth than you, the master. Are you sure that your standings aren’t inverted?”
“That’s enough!!”
In just a moment, Shironeko, who was just sitting down on a chair while glaring at the girl, instantly appeared before her and gave her a punch, but the girl just blocked it while stifling a yawn.
“Umu… This girl really has potential. If this girl is with a master like you, then she won’t grow. How about it little girl, do you want to come with me? Of course, I’ll get rid of your status as a slave.”
“No, thank you!!!”
Once more, Shironeko launched another punch towards her face, but was just blocked again by the girl’s arm.
“I am happy with my life with master, so don’t take it away from me!!”
My eyes couldn’t follow the exchange between them, but I knew, in just under a second, Shironeko launched 20 punches and the girl blocked all of it while having a nonchalant expression.
“… Very well, now then…”
After the girl said those words, the aura she was releasing vanished as if it was just air and my body once again responds with my brain normally. Kaze just sat there with a stiff expression.
“Shironeko, please stop.”
For once, I issued a command for Shironeko to stop via the slave collar.
“Guh!?”
“Sorry, but cool down for a moment Shironeko.”
I had Shironeko sit on her chair earlier, and also commanded her to be quiet. I don’t want her to die because of me.
“Even though you look like that, you have brains huh… Any longer and that girl might have been sent to the underworld.”
Thank goodness I quickly commanded her to stop.
“Now then, before we start, let us introduce ourselves. I am Kaze, a golem created by my master.”
And before anything else escalated, Kaze quickly started speaking and introduced himself. Looks like I need to do it too.
“I am Yanagi Daichi, the Dungeon Master of this dungeon.”
“Umu, my name is Kayl, as granted by the previous hero, and a Fenrir.”

~ Third Person POV ~
“Finally, we have can get rid of Granc. That town has been a thorn in our side for too long.”
“Are you sure? Didn’t you hear about that legend where a mythical creature made a contract with that town for protection?”
“Oh, that bullshit? That’s just a myth, nothing more, nothing less.”
Two men were conversing between each other in the shade of the night. One was seated on a seat, while the other was standing while maintaining a dignified posture.
“This battle will be our victory. Also, about that dungeon near Granc, we extort items and money from that dungeon master while threatening him if they don’t pay up, we will subjugate the dungeon.”
“But how about the report stating that the hero was beaten black and blue by a monster inside a boss room?”
“That will just solve as time pass by itself. It’s not like the dungeon can move.”
“You’re right. By the way, have you found the escaping dungeon master?”
“Not yet, I fear that they have already fled the capital.”
“I see, then, that’s enough for this meeting. We already mobilized part of the army right? It won’t be long before the downfall of Granc.”
“That is right, your Majesty.”
The two laughed creepily with only the darkness as their witness.
