《My Birthday Wish to be a Dungeon Master was Granted!》Chapter 20: I Can See the Ending!!

It’s been about two days since the start of the game, and nearly 9/10 of the dungeon masters have been eliminated. Forunately, I am one of the surviving dungeon masters, with about 10 eliminations aside from the first three, resulting in a bonus of 150000 DP. When I thought that one dungeon that I attacked was annihilated by only my Demon Troll, I summoned two more, only to see different types emerging from the magic circle.
One Demon Troll had blue skin, had no horns emerging from its head, three meters in height, wields a wooden rod, and is garbed in a robe you would expect a magician to wear it. The other had purplish skin, had only one horn protruding from its head, nearly three meters in height, wields a giant bastard sword instead of a steel club, and is equipped in silver armor, making it hard to discern its body type.
I was baffled when the two emerged from the magic circle. When the red Demon Troll came back, I had them spar with each other. The result, the red Demon Troll was in another dimension compared to the two, the blue Demon Troll was well versed in magic combat, and the purple Demon Troll, instead of fighting like a wild brute, had skills using a sword, just like a knight.
I really wanted to use appraisal on these three, but the rules… The rules…
“ARRGHH!!! Let me use appraisal just once!!! Please!!!”
While I was complaining about the rules about using skills, a report came to me via a Goblin Ninja. It said that another army composed of more than a thousand monsters, along with two A-rank monsters were seen marching towards my dungeon.
Ever since the last ten remained, the fights between monsters became harder to manage and defend. A-ranks fighting each other had several of allies and enemies dead because of the force of their fight.
There was once a battle between a dragon and a hydra that broke out a kilometer away from the camp grounds of my summoned monster army. Their fight even reached my monster army resulting in several casualties. Because of that, I had the three Demon Trolls join in and the dragon and the hydra were defeated by the three. Somehow, I think that the three Demon Trolls had good compatibility with each other.

Now that the three were resting in front of my dungeon to defend from any attacks, another army was heading their way. The two A-rank monsters were an Orthrus and a Hell Serpent. The Orthrus was the inferior version of the S-rank Cerberus. The Hell Serpent was like a giant Chinese dragon that spits out flame and lava, and had skin that emits a thousand degree celsius heat, making it hard to approach.
I commande my monster army to be ready for an attack, and instead of meeting up with them, defend the entrance. I don’t want another threat entering my dungeon like before if I want to win.
Half an hour later, the two armied clashed. Monster bodies here and there were blown away and turned into unrecognizable meat lumps. Thanks to my gore tolerance, I was able to look at the screen without throwing up, but it would be a different story if that happened in front of me.
The battle raged on and another thirty minutes, my monster army won, because of the three Demon Trolls. Of course, I also sustained heavy damage, but nothing my DP can’t fix. I still have a lot of reserves from saving my DP.
I summoned more Orc Crusaders, Orc Riders, Kobold Archers, Goblin Shamans, and many more. Now that is done, I have my Goblin Ninjas and Goblin Assassins to head towards any dungeon to gather information and, if there is a chance, take the head of the Dungeon Master.

~ Third Person POV ~
“DAMN IT!!!”
A human threw an apple to a wall in a fit of anger.
“WHY!? WHY DIDN’T MY ATTACK WORK!?”
Shouting at the top of his lungs, he threw another apple to the wall.
“DAMN IT!! I LOST THE FUCKIN’ ORTHROS AND HELL SERPENT!! IN JUST ONE ATTACK NO LESS!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!”
Instead, if he tried to find information about the enemy instead of launching a full scale assault, it might have gone better. But because of his pride and arrogance that he is above all the dungeon masters, the result of his actions has led to this.

“DAMN IT!!!”
Opening the dungeon menu, he checked his available DP, only to find about 10000 DP left.
“SHIT! THIS AIN’T ENOUGH!!!”
While howling in fury, a silver glint in the darkness caught his eyes. Focusing on it, his spine shivered in fear.
“B- BASTARD!!!”
That was the last word he uttered after having his head seperated from his body.

At the same time, in another dungeon situated about 5 kilometers away, a person with human features, save for his pointed ears, could be seen grinning in amusement. His race was that of an elf.
“Hoh… So that’s what’s been eliminating dungeon masters even if they still had their defenses.”
Looking at a holographic screen that showed a silhouette the size of a child and a headless human, he commanded some of his strongest monsters to guard the entrance of his core room.
“If your own monsters could enter the core room, it would be better for my sake.”
Indeed. As the elf stated, in this game, summoned monsters cannot enter the core room of their master. He didn’t know why this was implemented, but since this was an unwritten rule in the form of the monsters’ actions, he didn’t pay it any attention.
Since there was only one entrance towards the core room, the only way to defend his defenseless state was to guard the entrance. It would be impossible for a monster to enter without opening the door, and it is also next to impossible to conceal one’s presence if directly next to another.
“Let’s see… I should be able to play that tactic even this late in the game…”

~ Daichi POV ~
While slumping on my chair, another announcement entered my head in the form of telepathic communication. It seems I gained another 15000 DP for eliminating another dungeon master, which brings the remaining ones to 4, including me.
Fortunately, my three Demon Trolls were still alive so I could still fight. If the three of them died, then it’s game over for me. I mean the battles between monsters now looks like it could literally change the geography.
Right now, I commanded my army to just stay in front of the dungeon. I don’t want an army raiding my dungeon with my weak defenses inside.
“Haahh… A few more and it’s done… Just a few more…”
While slumping in my chair because of the lack of things to do except look at the Dungeon Menu, I found another army marching towards my dungeon. It’s the third time now.
Again, after a few battle moments, my army emerged victorious, but the casualties sustained were enormous. The army of 600 that were just replenished was now brought down to a measly 200. Using the DP I got from eliminating a dungeon, I replenished the army again.
But this time, I used all of the DP to raise the army’s numbers to about 1000. The reason for this is one last attack against all of the remaining dungeons in one march.
It consisted of the regulars like the Orc Crusaders, but I had the army rest for about an hour because of the injuries of the monsters. The last fight had my two Demon Trolls losing limbs and blood, exhausting them. The red Demon Troll only had light injuries thanks to its strength.
An hour later, thanks to the efforts of the Healing Division, the three Demon Trolls were healed and ready to go. With the sound of a horn, my monster army marched towards the horizon, towards the remaining dungeons…
***
I looked at the timer at the side of the Dungeon Menu. It showed 08:21:45, eight hours left until the dungeon game ends. And another dungeon was eliminated, but it was not my achievement, another dungeon had implemented my tactics.
