《My Birthday Wish to be a Dungeon Master was Granted!》Chapter 2: Building the Dungeon

“Now that I'm a dungeon master, I have to set up some defenses.”
I placed my hand on the dungeon core and accessed the dungeon menu. For now, I took a look at the Dungeon Statistics tab to learn more about my dungeon.
Dungeon Name: Nameless
Dungeon Master: Yanagi Daichi
Dungeon Level: 1
Dungeon Type: Not yet specified
Dungeon Difficulty: Non-existent
Dungeon Age: 0
Floors: 1
Number of Rooms: 1
Intruder Count; Daily: 0
Weekly: 0
Intruders Killed: 0
Monsters Lost: 0
Daily DP Income: 100
Hmm... I really want to retort about the dungeon difficulty, but now I need to start creating my dungeon. I then backtracked and opened the Dungeon Management. I then selected to add a room and a passageway to take the core room farther from the entrance.
Create Room - 500 per 15m³
Create Passage - 250 per 20m x 1.5m x 3m
It really is more expensive the larger it is. For now, I spent about a 1000 DP. Creating a 15m³ room and a 40m x 3m x 6m passageway. (Length x Width x Height)
Now that the core room is deeper, I want to put some defenses like traps in the passageway and monsters inside the room.
I opened the Dungeon Market tab and selected the monster option. Then, a prompt on selecting a dungeon type appeared.
[Earth] - Sells Earth-based monsters. Strong against Water, weak against Wind.
[Fire] - Sells Fire-based monsters. Strong against Wind, weak against Water.
[Wind] - Sells Wind-based monsters. Strong against Earth, weak against Fire.
[Water] - Sells Water-based monsters. Strong against Fire, weak against Earth.
[Dark] - Sells Darkness-based monsters. Strong against Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water, very weak against Light.
[Light] - Sells Light-based monsters. Very strong against Dark, weaker than Earth, Fire, Wind, and Water.

[Normal] - Sells Normal-based monsters. Has no strengths nor weaknesses.
[Random] - Randomly selects a type.
I thought for a moment before selecting the Normal type. Since it is a well-balanced type, I thought that it would suit me very well. After selecting the Dungeon Type, the monster list appeared.
Slime - 5
Horned Rabbit - 10
Goblin - 20
Kobold - 30
Orc - Must be Dungeon Level 2 to access.
Goblin Swordsman - Must be Dungeon Level 2 to access.
etc.
The available monsters I can buy now are only slimes, horned rabbits, goblins, and kobolds. I can also buy a monster's monster spawner for 10 times the price of a single one.
So for now, I bought 1 slime spawner, 1 horned rabbit spawner, 1 goblin spawner and one kobold spawner and place them inside the first room. The spawners can spawn infinitely but the spawners have a limited capacity based on the monster being spawned. The slime spawner has 10 capacity while the rest have 5. The total cost for the monster spawners was 650 DP.
Next is to add the traps. I opened the Dungeon Management tab and accessed the Create Trap option. A list of deadly traps appeared. But unfortunately, only one trap was available since my Dungeon Level is 1.
Pitfall Trap - 50 DP per meter deep.
It is actually a harmless trap, but couple it up with monsters and you have a fine trap. Well, actually, I have a couple ideas on how to use this. But for now, let's place about 5 4-meter deep pitfalls adjacent to each other. A total of 1000 DP.
The total expense of building my dungeon today is 2650 DP. I have 2350 DP left.
Now that the first line of defense is complete, I opened the Dungeon Market tab and accessed the Items option. What was listed were common items from fantasy worlds like daggers, swords, tunics, ponchos, robes and many more. Sadly, because of my Dungeon Level, I can only buy rusted weapons and tattered rags for clothes. But for some reason, the food I can buy with DP resembles the food back in Japan. No, let me rephrase that. It really is the food from Japan. When I bought a bowl of ramen for only 10 DP, it tasted like it was made by a gourmet chef. Meaning, it was extremely delicious!

The food bought with DP is freakin' cheap! I can actually live here for free, but I don't want that. My dream is to build the biggest and hardest dungeon in the world! So right now, I will strive and struggle. Even if it takes my whole life to become the dungeon master I dream of, I will reach it.
Suddenly, a note came falling down from above. Another note from 'Him'?
{Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this, but dungeon masters are immortal. Of course, you can still die, but if you aren't killed, you can basically live forever. Also, the yearly meeting of dungeon masters will be held a month from now, so try to expand your dungeon until then! See ya!}
After reading the note, it burned up and turned to ash.
“A month from now huh? Then, I will expand this dungeon into one you can be proud of! Mystery man!”
And thus start the dungeon building montage!!

A Mob Boss's Honour
This is the story of many mob families. It is set in the 1950s. There are many families involved in the crime life in New York. There is honour. There is war to keep that honour. There is loyalty but there is betrayal too. This is not related to my other trilogy. The families featured in this book are different. This is a standalone book. Cover by @aresrising
