I looked around and saw a small rabbit. It was the same size as the one on earth, but had a blue colored fur. The rabbit tried to hit me with its head, but I stopped it with my hands and lifted it up.

I stared at it for a while until it tried to bite my hands. By reflex, I threw the bunny down to the ground. The rabbit staggered from the throw, but it still tried to attack me. I didn’t have a reason to kill it, so I just started walking away.

I walked aimlessly in the forest. My long hair was really holding me back, since I had to carry it with both of my hands. I was also feeling the breeze as I walked around, I was naked after all.

I have always thought it would be fun to camp on a forest, but reality is different. Without shoes, the uneven ground pained my feet and I had to watch my step for sharp objects. There were different animals moving around which made me feel uneasy. There were even times when I see things like animal poop and rotting carcass that were infested with insects.

I got hungry while running around, so I started taking fruits around me.

Every time I picked a fruit a message appears in front of me. I didn’t know if they were poisonous or not, so I took small animals and made them eat a portion of the fruit. Rabbits, hounds, birds, and lizards were the common animals I see around the forest, or at least those are the only ones I saw as of now.

I took 2 rabbits with me and tested if the fruits were edible or not. It surpassed my imagination when one of the rabbits stopped moving, a few seconds after eating the violet fruit.

After the rabbit died, my body was covered in light and a surge of power ran through my body. A life died because of me, and I was a bit shaken by it. I calmed down thinking that I had no choice. I would have been the one who died if I ate the fruit.

I guess as long as it’s just animals then I could forget about it, as long as it’s not humans. I don’t even know why I’m trying to live. There is not really a reason for me to stay in this world. If I kill myself now then I could reunite with my family.

While lost in thoughts, a force pushed me to a tree.

My left arm was dislocated, my right arm was embedded on the tree which was pierced by the barks, and my whole body was hurt from the impact of the swing. I looked back to where I was before and I saw a red furred bear. It had red lines around its body, and black eyes which had the look like its meal was presented in front of it.

It carefully walked to me like it was looking out for traps, while I was coughing up blood. My whole body was in pain, it was at a level that I could never imagine. My body slowly lost its strength as I watched the bear walk to me. I could only watch as I enter death’s door for a second time, and there was a large difference. This time, I am not happy with my death, but if I could see my family again after this. I guess it’s ok too.

I heard a voice, a familiar voice. I am sure that I died, so that only means I am in the afterlife. I could feel my body, and it didn’t have the injury I had when I was killed by the bear. I opened my eyes, and I was in a grassy plain. I looked around and saw someone that I have shared my life with, on my past life.

“Eugene”(Sania)

I hugged the person in front of me tightly. The person was Eugene, the person I love, and the person that made me happy in my past life.

“It’s nice to see you again after 5000 years.”(Eugene)

From the shock of hearing the insane amount of time, I released my arms and looked at Eugene.

“5000?”(Sania)

“Yes, it has been that long since you died.”(Eugene)

Don’t casually say the death word. Anyways, where are my children? Where are my grandchildren? I know that looking for them in the afterlife is like saying that they are dead. But 5000 years is not a lifespan that I human can live, and even if they died, we could at least live here forever.

“…so where are the others? Where are my cute little offspring?”(Sania)

“They are already gone.”(Eugene)

“I know that, I mean, where are their souls? We are at the afterlife right? Then we can meet up and live together in the afterlife.”(Sania)

He suddenly hugged me tightly. I tried to push him away, but he was using all his strength to hug me.

“Please live happily in the other world. Let me rephrase it a bit. Please live happily in all of your life cycles, and may we meet again someday in another cycle.”(Eugene)

His strength slowly faded and I was able to push him off.

“It’s fine to forget about me, it’s fine to forget about the others, but please, even for a bit longer, let me stay in your memories.”(Eugene)

As he said that, his body started to fade. Seeing this, I instantly hugged him, as tightly as I can. Tears flowed like a river, and my heart wouldn’t stop aching knowing that it was a matter of time before the person I love disappears forever. He hugged me back, and whispered to my ear.

Before he could finish saying something, his body no longer had the strength to create a voice. We both knew that the time was almost over, so we smiled at each other one last time and closed our eyes. We move our faces closer, and for one last time, our lips touched.

The kiss lasted for a second and after that, the person I was kissing, the person I was hugging, and the person that I love, was no longer there.

I cried and I didn’t feel like stopping. As of now, I am officially alone. I am alive, yet I feel like dying was better. I cried for a long time. My body was still fine, but if I was in a real body, it would have died from crying for a long time.

“I see you are having a hard time to recover.”(Deus)

A god appeared, yet I didn’t feel like doing anything.

“I think that your husband was a bit selfish on his request, so if you want, I could erase your memories. If I do that, then it would feel like you just reincarnated on the other world.”(Deus)

I just can’t continue like this, even if Eugene asked me, this is just too much. I can’t live while remembering my past.

I nodded to Deus. He started moving closer to me, and put his hand on top of my head.

“You couple are really too demanding, I have to sleep for a few years because of your husband’s wish. I just hope the new season of Helix VR will be up when I wake up. Anyways, I’ll start erasing your memories.”(Deus)

I jumped back from Deus, which shocked him a bit.

I don’t want to forget, I don’t want our time together to fade. Even if it hurts me, I want to continue living like this.

When I opened my eyes, I was in the same place where the bear attacked me. The bear was no longer there, but the area was a mess. It looked like the bear ran wild around here. There was one thing odd though, my body was enclosed in a transparent shield and my body completely recovered. My hair was also fixed...a bit. My hair was now at a normal length, but it wasn't cut evenly. It looked like a child held a scissor and blindly cut my hair.

The transparent shield faded after the message popped out. After that, I ran away to try and find a safe place to arrange my thoughts. Since everything looked the same in the forest, I climbed up to a tall tree.

I still haven’t recovered. In fact I am shaken a lot by the recent events. But for now, I have to focus on my own survival. I need to know how to live in this world first before I start thinking about other things. The first thing should do is to check the interface. I could get some information or at least information about myself. But, how do I open it? It just popped up when a message was sent to me.

I started doing various things to summon the screen, but it took a awhile to make it appear.

Anyways, looking at it now, it is quite easy to know what each of the buttons do. Since there were no new messages, and I obviously had no familiars, I clicked stats. If my hypothesis is correct, then the stats would contain a collection of data about me.

I somehow remember seeing something familiar. I think I saw this when my grandson was playing a game. Now that you think about it, the first message came from Xgamer303 which is obviously Deus. He also mentioned something about games on the letter…

I didn’t really think about it at first, but if this is all true, my life will be a lot different. I still don’t understand what those value represent and what they actually do, but…

There wasn’t a reason to reject it, in fact, the interface piqued my interest. For now, I have found something that may help me move on. Anyways, I also checked my skills, and I can’t even explain what I just read.

As I was looking at the screen, a certain animal appeared. The Peiyon Ursus started hitting the tree I was staying at. I took a few branches from the tree and started throwing it at the bear, it wasn’t very effective though.

I looked around the tree, and took few more branches before going down. The bear tried to attack me as I went down, but I swayed to the side and rolled away. When I regained balance, I ran to the bear which was also running to my direction.

My eyes were focused on the bear that started swinging its thick arms around. As a practitioner of aikido, I am good at observing and countering an enemy’s attack. Since a bear is different from a human, I had to change my fighting style a bit. Every time I dodge the bear’s wide swing, I will hit it at one spot with the branch. A branch would break after 2 or 3 times of being used. It’s understandable since the bear’s skin was thick.

It was quite scary as every swing is enough to severely injure me, but it’s better than running with my back open to such a creature. It was quite sturdy, but no matter how strong it was, if it can’t land a hit then it doesn’t matter.

“Just die already”(Sania)

Actually, I take it back, it’s too sturdy. I am starting to run out of breath and this guy can still move around. The only thing I was able to do to it was create a small hole on its body.

Seeing that I was in a disadvantageous situation, I ran away. I ran with all of my strength, but the bear followed. I ran and ran, but the bear followed me no matter where I went. As I lost strength, I picked something from a tree and pierced it with a branch. I turned around and waited for a chance to counter with all of my remaining strength .

As always, the bear swung its thick arms. I swayed downwards, and went to the small open wound that was created by my initial attacks, and pierced it with the branch on my hands. I jumped away after the attack, and as my body touched the ground, my body finally gave in and collapsed.

The last thing I could see was the bear holding on to the branch that pierced its body. It cried out in pain, and after a while, fell to the ground.

“Heh, so even a bear would die from that fruit…”(Sania)

I slowly lost consciousness after that…actually, doesn’t it sound bad? What if another bear shows up while I am sleeping?
