Chapter 157 – Journal Entry 7: Cultist and Elvens
Arriving at the Inn with a band of elvens quite made me have some attention. The people in the Inn was quite shocked at the rows of elven rangers, who barged inside the Inn. The owner of the Inn who saw me magnificently give him customers shook my hand, telling me a good job.
Sadly, they lack three rooms to spare so the other elvens have to do with the Inn next to the Inn. The street is filled with Inn’s anyway, but I never noticed it before the owner told me to. Miss Leona and her companions got settled in nicely.
Is that I like to say but the moment they entered the Inn. They spotted Grom sitting leisurely which made the elvens aggressive for some unknown reason. Some of them covered their noses, while some cringed at the sight of Grom. It took them for a while before they somehow let their hands down.
Leona the leader of these elves approached Grom. They stared for a bit before Leona nodded her head, apologizing for her people’s behavior. Elena who heard the commotion went down the stairs, seeing the band of Elves. She went to Grom’s side and asked what’s wrong. It took about five minutes to completely calm the situation.
I have no idea what is happening. Maybe, they felt danger on Grom’s appearance? He does look like he would be that of a dark night that would ravage villages and massacre people. But I don’t think that a misunderstood hound dog like Grom could be that bad. Sure he might look rabid but Elena trusts him.
He should not suppose to be rabid right?
I thought that to calm my heart. I was about to leave but Leona talked to me. She told me how grateful she is for telling them the way. After that I bid my goodbye, spent time walking around the street. My long black hair fluttered, my coat dancing along with the wind.

An airship, red shaded clouds, and the sound of buzzing can be found in the sky. War Machines powered by steam, this world was quite something to see. Although the dark lingering of gunpowder that enters my nostrils is quite bad, I still find this world fascinating.
A tint of magic, a tint of fantasy races, and a bit of steam punk makes this world quite charming in front of my eyes. Irregular as they may be at least to my common sense, I could not feel any sort of weird feeling that makes me want to part with them.
I am mostly calm that it scares me. Not knowing who you are, not knowing what you did before you found yourself sleeping on a cemetery with your back laid on a tombstone make for a scary thought. I believe that this world isn’t truly where I belong but somehow...I just can’t put my finger to it.
A rusty place filled with abandoned buildings, looking around it seems that I found myself in an old factory. I say that this smelled obviously of rust. I could hear water flowing down my location, so this might have caused this factory to be like this.
Suddenly I heard footsteps coming to my direction. I deliberately hide for some unknown reason. And when I looked at the robed people looking around, checking for people made me truly say that I did right in hiding. They look sketchy and seeing them open a passage leading to some sewer system made me nod my head, and left the place.
...
Leaving the place I took some snacks at the market area. With the usual meat sticks, and some fruit juice freshened me up. I haven’t smoked for a day, so I patched in a cigar, puffing it until it was small. Done smoking, I went to walk around again listlessly before going back to the Inn.

As I go back to the Inn I spotted the band of Elves or at least three of them. I tried passing by their eyes towards but Miss Leona seems like a keen one and immediately saw men, then told me to hide along with them. I complied without any problem. I stared at where they were looking and saw the same people in the old rusted factory.
“Who are they?”
“Cultists of the Deliverance, a bunch of crazy good for nothing that worships the Sanctus Dark Lord, they are a threat.”
“I see. I am guessing that one of the reasons a band of Elven rangers are here in this place is due to this then?”
“Exactly, though it is more to have relations with the Fernery Island Mistress”
“Ah, what a coincidence, I am working there soon,”
“You are?”
A wide surprised stare that turns into a smile.
“It seems that we are going to be acquainted further. May I know who your employer is?”
“Remember that short blonde woman in the Inn, that one where you talk with because of Grom?”
“Ah, that woman with that metal skinned mutant, is she your boss?”
“Employer, though I do not think that I have that much leverage considering that I haven’t started my work.”
“That can be negotiated, though I think that you are loose lips.”
‘I am polite Miss. I have no idea how to lie at the moment. So please excuse my honest words.”
Miss Leona looked at me strangely before sighing.
“Very well, for now, please follow us.”
“Of course, I shall follow you on a strange mission that I shouldn’t be in while having a good chance that I may die. that’s great.”
“...”
Miss Leona and her people went silent, she then pointed behind me. I looked at where she was pointing and saw Grom hanging on the edge of a building.
“It seems that you have good hound dog following you.”
“It looks like it.”
I cannot help but smile wearily as Miss Leona taps my shoulder. Grom landed on the ground and looked at me with his red eyes. He then started gesturing me which ends up with his thumb crossing over his neck. After that, he went back to being listless, as if telling me to follow the band of elves led by Miss Leona.
Having no choice I followed them, as they stalk the cultist they are following.
Ah, maybe I should tell them that I found a sketchy passageway that they used?
