Chapter 150 - Hero for Once
The undead girdled dragon was waiting for the chance to kill the king. But since the King was vigilant the undead girdled dragon could not help but wait. It has intelligence so it waited for the guard of the King to be down. Yet when the undead girdled dragon smelled the arrival of new beings, the undead girdled panic and immediately tried to attack the ones that have the highest mana output.
The Undead Girdled Dragon knew that the elven was a threat so it immediately buried its claws on her legs. This made Peronell captured by the dragon immediately before she can dodge, she didn’t expect that the undead girdled dragon would show up too!
The undead Girdled Dragon was quite pleased with his attack but the one thing he didn’t expect was the rage of someone that somehow bursts around him. The undead girdled dragon looked down upon the figure trying to save the elven. But once the girdled dragon smelled the strong malediction around him and the way he slowly absorbs the curse around that buffs his powers, the undead girdled dragon panicked.
He tried to swing his tail at this figure but somehow this figure with maddened eyes made use of a holy chain and hallowed arrow to climb up the dragon. The half-elven that dragon caught also started to attack with her conjured arrows and knowing that the elven could drop him with a point black holy bolt. The undead girdled dragon deepened its claw on the elvens legs. The Elven screamed in pain.
“YOU FUCK.”
The undead girdled dragon heard a gibbering language that he didn’t understand. He was blessed with the ability to comprehend the language of the land yet he wasn’t able to understand this man. He wondered if the man was speaking ancient tongue.

“LET HER FUCKING GO.”
The dragon heard the gibberish tongue of the man with a heavy malediction. This man had nothing special on him, yet the way he climbs using his holy chains, with firmed eyes that targets only the dragon made the girdled wyrm felt a shiver.
There was something wrong with this human. He could smell the madness of malediction on him. And as the dragons continue to dig its claw at the elven legs this human’s rage was getting higher. The curse around the dragon was that of the Sanctus curse, yet this man was absorbing the curse around him as if he was a vacuum.
Ramiel didn’t have any power in this world. He was incompatible to the world’s energy, and he had zero defenses at anything magical. But at the moment he was so single mindedly filled with rage that the curse on him and his inability to defend against them worked for him. It was like the curse was getting attracted to the malediction around him, making him able to concentrate in taking Peronell back.
Ramiel’s leg was being supported by his barrier. The moment he used the improvise blast magic to launch himself up, tore off his muscles, broke his bones and burned his ligaments. He was crippled, and right now he was relying on the barrier magic to hold up his legs that he is using along with his arms to climb the chain he casted at the spine of the dragon.
“GIVE HER BACK YOU FUCK!”
Ramiel’s rage fueled shout made him able to climb faster. Peronell saw Ramiel burning with curse all over him. Seeing his body, his soul and his eyes wrapped around black energy, she couldn’t help but panic. Yet, despite wanting to say anything she could only try to escape!

Ramiel saw that dragon wasn’t letting her go. He was near the dragon, but the dragon, who could not be bothered about Ramiel anymore., it opens its mouth and throws a flame breath that made the people down below take cover. This breath contained flamed curses and the dragon thought it could kill Ramiel.
It injured Ramiel. His body burned with flames, his hair burning, his clothes flaming, yet his hands were steady. Smoke rises from his back, despite his protection aura, it didn’t protect him completely. He didn’t even know at the moment that he was burned black; Ramiel with his curses numbing him continued climbing until he reached the legs of the dragon.
“I will save you no matter what!”
Ramiel said those words right at Peronell. She heard his words clearly despite the raging wind. Yet she was unable to answer at the half-dead Ramiel who is barely hanging on to his life. Only left alive due to curses, Ramiel was using his life to free Peronell.
She wanted him to stop but Ramiel wasn’t listening anymore. Using his arms, he continuously casted his improvise blast magic to the point his right arm got ripped away from his body. But this allowed Peronell to be free and fall down to the ground.
Peronell freefall at and was followed by Ramiel. She was about to cast a spell around Ramiel but the undead girdled dragon that had its claws ripped apart bite Ramiel’s body. Instead of falling along with him, Ramiel was taken by the dragon.
“RAMIEL!”
Peronell could not help but shout in despair as Ramiel got taken by dragon’s mouth. Ramiel felt the dragon chewing his stomach. He looked the dragon in the eyes, before moving it back to Peronell falling down back to Inquisitors and the King who seems to be readying something to take out the dragon.
Ramiel thought that he has done and save her.
“That’s good.”
Ramiel said while turning his eyes back at the dragon. He didn’t know what he was thinking launching himself like that but it didn’t matter to him. At the moment this dragon hurt the one he loved the most, and with the anger, and the malediction fueling his rage, Ramiel could only smile like a lunatic as he gathered his incompatible energy around his remaining limbs and smiled like a Cheshire cat at the dragon.
Boom!
The Dragon’s mouth exploded as Ramiel’s limbs got torn off by the blast. He rotated thrice in the air, and his distorted vision saw the dragon screaming in pain, Ramiel noticed the king blasting off a powerful blow, slashing the dragon in half.
Ramiel could also see Peronell drawing a giant bolt of an arrow, taking down half of the dragon.
The Undead Girdled Dragon was defeated.
Seeing that the monster was dead, Ramiel could not help but smile as he falls down right in the abyss where no end could be seen. This hole appeared when the quake started and it was so empty.
Ramiel couldn’t hear anymore due to the explosion he used to blow the dragon’s mouth popping his eardrums. All he could do was see Peronell’s figure, crying as she gets held back by the others from catching him.
Ramiel was falling down the abyss.
Yet somehow Ramiel couldn’t feel fear.
There was a smile plastered on his face.
For the first time in his life, he managed to do something worthwhile.
That should be good, isn’t it?
I did it.
Ramiel thought so as his body disappears within the endless black.
