Chapter 133 – Wintery Days 2
The Tent Inn has simple beds partitioned with a curtain. There are tables and a little bar mainly for the merchants and travelers staying. The Inn is about forty feet long, and thirty-three feet wide.
Half of the Tent is for the beds while the rest a little bar that serves ale and bread, there can be sometimes food on their menu but it is merely at the owner’s whim who is a camp master for the encampment. The Tent Inn was made to accommodate those who are out venturing. At first, it was mainly charity but with how things are the Ser Knight who manages the camp decided to make this simple Tent Inn.
It profits a lot so there was no need to worry about it accommodating and exhausting many. The Ser Knight that manages the camp has already taken that in consideration.
Ramiel sat in front of Peronell. She was busy sipping on her ale, her pinkish lips kissing the tip of her wooden cup. He felt seduced, yet Ramiel brushed the thoughts off as he splits the bread on the polish wooden plate. He took a bit of the hard bread, it was rather bland, but he made use of the salt to make it a bit tastier. There is also a fruit, so he took a bit as he then sips on the ale.
He felt a spicy sensation touch his tongue it entered his throat as he then feels a warm presence on his belly. Ramiel wiped his mouth, putting his cup down he stares at Peronell’s blue eyes that are constantly monitoring the soldiers. She has hawkish eyes at the moment, this is a result of her vocation, Magick Archer, which allows her to seek her enemies out, and shot them with magical bolts. Peronell is a rank ninth, plus her elven blood makes her very suitable to this vocation.

Her perception is now wide and she could see the aura, mana, and energy around the camp. The soldiers she is seeing are colored in white. Ramiel in her eyes is colored in blue. Her target should have a bright aura around him, and because of the night, her vision got a bit wider so she was able to ‘track’ the bright red aura that should be around the cultist.
But to her surprise, the cultist wasn’t detected by her hawk perception. It wasn’t because she messed up it is because the enemy cultist has concealed his aura. She didn’t know that the cultist could do such a thing, and now she is fairly lost on what to do. She shut her hawkish perception off. She blinked and then took a sip of her ale, as she frowns in dissatisfaction.
Ramiel saw that frown of hers. He thought there might something wrong, so he casually taps her fingers which made Peronell look at Ramiel, tilting her head in question. Her hair flutter for a bit, her blue eyes reflect Ramiel who was ready to ask her.
“So what happened?”
“I can’t see him.”
“Did something bad happen?”
“Not that I know off, he protected himself from my perception, this one’s smart.”
The two whispered to each other. There might be more of the cultist laying around so it was for the best that they keep to each other. It is understandable and isn’t really something when the other merchants does it.
“So how do we find him?”
“I could smell the curse...but.”
Peronell opened her perception around. She saw the blue aura around Ramiel but she immediately took note of the black eerie aura that is forming around his right leg. Peronell saw the curse before but at the moment the curse on Ramiel was rather rampant, at first it was only his leg but she could now find traces of the curse on his brain.

It was like an infection. Peronell feels like that if this curse stays on his head he would soon turn into something worse.
“Hello?”
Peronell was quite in thought.
“Sorry, let’s see...I could not find the curse simply because yours is too rampant...”
“Should I go out or something?”
“No, it is no use, yours is the superior one...”
“That doesn’t really relieve me.”
Ramiel smiled wearily. He knew about his own damn curse and even Peronell could sense how bad it is. He has been burdened by this curse for quite a while now and even though he got used to it. The Curse is still an inconvenience.
“You should really try to have that curse cured.”
“I would have if a simple purification could do it. The chapel says that it is incurable and the scholar that I send a letter told me how it is. You read the letter right?”
“I did.”
Peronell remembered the contents of the letter. The contents said that the curse is a higher tier than the scribe’s curse. Not only that, the curse has changed, adapted, turning into something into a new curse.
“Not to mention that you are really attractable to curses. It is odd how basically low your magic resistance is.” She added.
“Woe is me, but that is just what it is. Also, now that you mention how attractable am I to curses. Do you think we can somehow use that? The cultist has a cursed ring, right? Would that ring somehow be attracted to me?”
“I don’t know about this.”
“Don’t worry, it is not like I am new to curses anyway...and just keep your perception...I think the hex that the fucking bastard let me learn was this.”
Ramiel focused his attention to chanting. His mouth moved forming words that Gundry taught him. Peronell kept her perception on. She saw strings of black energy coming from a direction.
Seeing this black string that is being attracted to Ramiel, she stood up and gestured Ramiel to stay as she silently follows the string of energy. After following the black string of energy for a while, she saw a man wearing nothing but a surcoat standing with a torch. She could see the ring on this person emitting black energy.
“Found you.”
Peronell said as she grins devilishly.
