Chapter 129 – Nostalgia Bonfire
Ramiel went to his house. He took his capelet, leather armor, boots, gauntlets, and pants. He took a tunic from one of the furnitures inside a dresser. He put them on and equipped his gauntlets back. The elemental bracer and the hidden blade was an essential thing he would always carry.
He sat near the fireplace to dry off his hair. His eyes reflected the flame. The pot was empty inside, so there was no sound coming from inside it. The wind blew passed through the cracks of his house, the curtain fluttered up. The light outside was dimming. Ramiel could tell that it was getting dark.
He stayed still inside this house of his. He daydreams about, wondered and wiggled his fingers near the fireplace for no reason. He just sat comfortably, idling, waiting for anything. He laid his back flat on the floor, his eyes pointed at the ceiling.
Without anything to do, this is Ramiel’s usual lifestyle. It was quite empty, and there was nothing here that can amuse him. Usually he would just play around with his magic. But since he usually overcasts himself, Ramiel didn’t do so.
He just stared at the ceiling like a fool. He listened to the sounds outside, and just stayed idle without moving. Sooner or later he felt his eyes heavy, he closed it.
...
Ramiel woke up seeing the same ceiling. He raises himself up and started stretching his back. He moved his hands around and touched his cheek, throat and then his leg. He didn’t feel the burning pain, so he just went to the wooden drawer near his bed. He opened the drawer, took a flask inside the drawer, uncorked the flask and drank the liquid inside.
He tasted a bitter sensation on his tongue flowing down his throat. His expression changed, he grabs a fruit from the storage of his house. It is located near the door, and when he was about to take a bit of the avocado shaped, but apple flavored fruit, Ramiel glance at the door.

“Hey, I am back!”
It was Raul with his wolfish grin. Ramiel eyed him for a bit, before taking a bit of his fruit nonchalantly. He took a sit in carpeted floor with legs crossed. He leaned on the table, took a bit and asked.
“So the giant boar got hauled?”
“Yep, it is a big one so I was about to invite you to take part.”
“Well that was my score, so I have the right to it.”
“But the guards hauled it,” Raul replied.
“Good points, so what, are we going to cut it up into pieces and share it with the villagers? Just bring mine here. I really do not want to get out right now.”
“Partly but we are going to make a bonfire on the beach, we are going to feast with this boar. Then we will cut it up.”
“Sounds like a waste of meat to me,” Ramiel said.
“Come on, that boar is huge, besides we are roasting the fat parts of the boar, and it is a village tradition. I also invited Abby and Peronell too.”
“Okay then.”
Ramiel stood up and went out of his house. Raul grinned at how fast Ramiel reacted once Peronell’s name was mention.
...
The two walk along the beach road until they saw the villagers preparing the firewood. Ramiel glanced at the pile wood and to the giant boar creature, he killed. It was already stripped off fur, and he could see the fur piled up away from the boar.
He stretches his legs, sat on at the sandy beach. As he does, he saw Peronell helping the villagers. He didn’t move or call out to her, he stayed silent, hugged his legs as he stayed silent, watching the villagers take care of the pit.

Ramiel didn’t have any camping experience except for his Boy Scout experience. He lasted only four months in Boy Scout, and quit when he got tired of it. He remembered the time that he saw such a huge gathering of woods just to make a bonfire. Honestly, it made Ramiel feel nostalgic and sad at the same time.
All of those are memories now, and remembering doesn’t help him at all. Ramiel felt sad, it was showing it in his face.
...
The bonfire was lit. Ramiel stayed in the same spot he was, not moving and just waiting for the boar to be cooked. Remembering about his old memories made Ramie feel depressed. Despite that, he is a bit cheerful now. It doesn’t mean he wouldn’t miss his old world.
Everything about his world was great. And now looking at himself and the people around him that is happily chatting. Ramiel felt like an outside that didn’t belong. He has a few acquaintances on the village, and sometimes he wouldn’t even bother to know their name.
In result, Ramiel was a bit lonely on the side of all things. He is still a stranger, and only a few really tries to talk to him. Ramiel accepted this lightly, he didn’t really care but with his mood a bit gloomy, it could be said that he didn’t want to talk right now.
...
The villagers of Sardis were quite happy. They started watching the boar get roasted, while Raul watches the cooking. Abby and Peronell were sitting together, chatting happily.
Raul who was watching then coughed loudly. He then started thanking the Gods for this giant boar that they can feast tonight and Ramiel, who killed it. Hearing Ramiel’s name, Peronell glanced around and saw Ramiel sitting at the side hugging his legs.
His eyes were vacant again, the light was dim.
Peronell noticed that his mood is bad when his lights are dim.
So seeing him that gloomy, she could not help but sighed. She stood up, walk towards Ramiel with a bit stride. Her hair flew a bit as the evening winds blew.
Ramiel sat idly so he didn’t notice Peronell walking and sitting near him.
When he did notice he saw Peronell sticking close to him.
“Oh hello...”
“Why the sad face?”
“Just a bit nostalgic, just thinking about my homeland...”
“I see...want me to accompany you here?”
“Not really, you can enjoy yourself. Don’t mind me.” Ramiel said.
“Then I will sit here.”
“Whatever...” Ramiel replied.
Peronell slightly smiled.
She accompanied Ramiel while the boar was being roasted.
