Chapter 106 – Bad at negotiations
After the incident on the shores, Peronell left to take her things from Pablo’s Inn. Pablo who was busy talking to a courier managed to notice Peronell walked in. The Courier left the moment he handed the parcel to Pablo.
“What what was that cousin?”
“Ah, a courier from Soren, the Ser living in your house told me to send it to anyone that has many studies in curses days ago, and now a reply has arrived.”
“I see...should I take it for you?”
“No, no, cousin, I have this. Besides, I do not think that he will appreciate people looking at his parcels. He gave me that cold eye when I tried to ask you know?”
“Seems sensitive...”
“It is.”
After finishing the conversation, Pablo called out his assistant to mind the counter. Peronell didn’t want to stay long in the Inn so she went upstairs and took her belongings. With her belongings, she went to Abby’s house in order to stay there until she gets her house back.
After putting her things in Abby’s spare room, Peronell went to the balcony located on top of her house to sniff the air. It is her habit since as a child to do such things. She liked the open air, the salty breeze, and the sun in the horizon.
One of her reasons she went back to this place is because of the scenery before her. Blue clear water, corals, sea creatures, the waves coming to the beaches, washing the sands, and the various fishing vessels that float on top of the sea, makes for a sight to see.
In the dungeon continent, there was nothing but stone, eerie mountains, green rivers, dead forests, and dark cities. It was a wasteland that had no life unless one reaches to the haven parts. But the Haven sections of the dungeon continent are nothing compared to the scene before her.

The feeling that the village of Sardis gives to Peronell hasn’t changed that much. Peronell is quite worried about the designated plan of the King to turn the village into a port. In her mind the village had to overextend and if anything, she fears that the beach will be turned into a hub for the port that would be built.
There is nothing good about that. Mainly because the fishing vessels would be forced out the shores in favors for the ‘Galleons’ that Abby was talking about, she didn’t have any good feeling about it. It makes her worry that it might cost the livelihood of the villagers.
Sardis retains most of its trade by gutting fishes, salting them and drying under the sun to be sold in the capital of Soren. Gann had a few fishing villages and had more farms due to the geography of the land. Those villages that fishes mostly get their fish from the lakes or rivers. The Capital of Soren has a port, but the river canal makes the trip a hassle. Not to mention that the vessels that sail the river canal that connects to Soren had Saurian’s or Raiders.
So it was obvious that Sardis would be considered to become the next major port for the Nation. Peronell already heard the idea from the past but to think that the idea would soon become true baffles Peronell.
...
After watching the scenery at the top of Abby’s house, Peronell went to her former house in order to convince Ramiel to give it up.
She found Ramiel this time in the table of. In front of him were a wooden plate, a dried fish, and a piece of rye bread. There is also a mug of water, and oddly there was oil on the table. She wondered what is up with that, but dismisses it as she enters her former house and said.

“Am I bothering you?”
“Not really. Having a waifu tier lady visit you isn’t that bad.”
“A what?”
Peronell didn’t understand what he was talking about. She was quite confused on what kind of language is that.
“Oh excuse me I am rather not that great today...which isn’t really that different from my daily life...tsk” Ramiel lifted the gourd of ale that is sitting next to the table’s leg.”
“I can see that.”
Peronell could see that Ramiel was drunk again. She noticed that the man seems drunk always.
“You sure are drunk a lot Ramiel.”
“I have my problems. Plus being in pain really gets me. I assume you are here to discuss your house again?”
“Yes, and even though it may sound cruel, but I want you to leave this house even though I didn’t find any house to let you stay.”
“Whoa, now you are upping your negotiation? I mean I did learn from Pablo that you are in good terms with the next village elder but come on Miss Peronell, isn’t that a bit harsh?” said Ramiel.
“I know that is why I am threatening you with that.”
“Well, you are honest...” Ramiel sips on his gourd.
“And harsh, but I will pay you at the cost of what you give to Pablo. As someone who came from the dungeon continent, money isn’t a problem.”
“And yet here you are, trying to make a sickly man homeless. Too bad your money can’t let you build your own fucking house.”
“I will add a bonus. To be honest, I really don’t want to be this harsh at you Ramiel, but since this house is special to me, I had no choice in the matter.”
“Too bad then, I won’t leave,” Ramiel said firmly.
“I am sure that you will, and since I pity you, I will even add a bonus for you Ramiel. That should cheer you up.”
“Hahahahahahahahahahahah” Ramiel started laughing hysterically suddenly.
Peronell was suddenly confused.
“Miss Peronell...do you know what happened to me when someone tried to take pity on me so I could ‘cheer up’?”
“I have no idea.”
“You see Miss Peronell, the last time someone pitied me. They gave me a boat trip to a paradise island, only for that ship to sink. So no, you take your money, your pity, and get the fuck out of my house.”
Ramiel got really insulted.
Seeing that her negotiations didn’t go as planned, Peronell said.
“I am sorry to hear that. I may have insulted you so I apologize. But I won’t give up.”
Saying that Peronell left her former house with a frown plastered on her face. Ramiel gaze at the lady, and grits his teeth in anger.
He didn’t want pity the most.
