Chapter 62 – Troubled Lands
Blood spread over walls, roads, lampposts, canals. Bodies with desecrated skin carved in heinous matter piled up on each block of the street. A person wailed in the distance, a man without limbs stare at the ground with imminent suicide on his thought.
Boots scraped on the dusty, bloody floor. A person limply walked with someone that has knife ears, carrying a wooden bag, the person with grayish hair scanned through the streets with blank eyes that resemble a fish. Blood seeped through the air, the smell of the dead, coupled with feces and vomit made the streets a hell to walk.
Brown golden dust formed eight feet off the ground; the plants were covered in black like liquids that smell like it would be set on fire the moment it gets lit. The fleshy sound emerged from each corner, a man with a bolt in his thigh called out for a doctor.
The Grayish haired man that was walking with the knife eared heard the cry for help. Begrudgingly the gray-haired man with a wooden box on his back approached the man, pulled out the bolt like it was nothing and stopped his bleeding. He took out a gourd, poured it in the wound as if disinfecting the wound.
It hurt a lot for the wounded man, but the soft, creamy feeling of the healing spell that the grayish man emitted made it less painful Of course if you don't count the fact that his flesh is being forcibly regenerated, and it is like stitching, burning the meat properly.
The treatment was done, the man thanked the gray-haired man, he took a nap. The gray-haired man creased his brows; he stood up, pained as he does. The Knife ears helped him, he held him until he was able to walk limping again.

...
A gate made of sandstones, a gate that isn't usually open. To be precise the scattered debris of metal, wood, and a bit of cobblestone made the seemingly impenetrable door of the once locked down Tinople city a wonder to looked at. A crowd gathered up front, a few of the unscathed, and the ready crowded fifteen feet away from the gate. A tanned man carrying a medium-size cleaver on his shoulder instructed the place, the line of men and women preparing their packs with an eager look made the scene odd.
A ball made of dried up grass, leaves and branches rolled up quietly. The gates are one the first sites that got immediately worked upon by the rebellion, they intend to shut the gates within five days, in order to not let anyone from outside that may retake the city in.
The walls have been taken back, the guards above has been stripped of their clothing, and was thrown down the sand pits outside. Below the walls are heinous sand worms that can devour a humanoid in less than a second. They were placed there to make sure that no diggers could be allowed in, and that to ensure that those who somehow managed to slid down the wall would die.
It became a feeding pit, a place where the corpses are thrown.
Some of the soldiers that were thrown are still alive. They could be healed and saved, but it would be meaningless. The new soldier of Tinople doesn’t want them.
...
Ramiel and Leone walked towards the line, the Tanned man that was rather pissed off at the maddened Ramiel once. So he took note of Ramiel, he sneered, pointed his cleaver and said.
"What's up, what are you looking at loony?"
"Piss off mate."
Ramiel wasn't really in good terms with the man so the one thing that popped into his head, was to tell him to fuck the fuck off. The tanned man wasn't pleased, was about told Ramiel the same, but he realized the glaring knifed ears behind his back. Leone's stare was of that an animal; he looked like he would kill the tanned man.

His eyes were saying.
"Another word, you’re dead."
The tanned man shivered in fright. Zippered his mouth, brought his hand up, coughed and said.
"Just get to the line Healer."
"Thank you, man, hope I won't see you again."
"Fuck off you twat."
Ramiel smirked at the Tanned man.
Leone followed with a hideous smile on his face.
...
Ramiel lined up like the rest of the other. His feet hurt just by standing, so he was using a staff to keep himself standing. Leone is just near him, he was keeping a blank look as he slowly lined up to enter the carriage.
The carriage is as big as a bus, but it more like passenger truck since the seats are mounted on the back of a giant centipede-like creature. A crypto-insectoid like being that roams the sandy lands Trapolstan.
Ramiel saw the giant creature that is almost blocking the street. He could not see it before, but now that he was closed it. He felt so cringed out, just by the appearance.
But he waited in line. He fears the centipede-like being but he just got to Leeroy Jenkins things from now on. The sun casting its blazing lights made Ramiel want to tell the sun to bugger off. Sweat filled his lined up forehead, as he slowly walks to the carriage.
After waiting for an hour, he and Leone got into the back of the centipede-like creature. He sat near the railing so he can watch the scenery moved. Leone sits just by his side, caressing his thigh.
Ramiel swiveled his head as the wait for the passengers bore him. The sounds of footsteps stepping on the wooden floor of the mounted carriage, along with the loud bang of cargo being dropped, and a yelling of a foreman made the carriage lively.
After a few hours of waiting, the carriage finally got its gates locked. The Tanned man who was telling people to line up wrapped the carriage gates with a rope.
Then with a tremor, the carriage finally left the gates of Tinople.

Keepers of the Neeft
The Indigo Empire has conquered half the world’s nations, their people, and their gods. According to its citizens, old and new, the rest of the world will follow. In the capital of the Throne-home, the Imperial Academy produces the next generation of great leaders to drive that expansion. Cadryn Bence knows he will be one such leader, he’s overcome his common birth, mixed heritage, and every other obstacle to be the top of his class. He dreams of glory on the southern front against the Gravanik States. He will not be finding it. Instead, if the glory he expects. Far to the north, lies the unassumingly named North-Eastern Extreme Frontier Tower, a backwater post if ever there were one. Through the machinations of the Emperor’s state religion, and a cult within it, Cadryn will find himself on his way to this first assignment. On the frontier, Cadryn will discover that neither his campions, nor the Neeft itself, are what he expects. Follow Cadryn on his journey to discover many truths: about himself, about the Empire, and about the very world he call home. ****** Keepers of the Neeft is a (bit dark) fantasy story revolving around Cadryn and his journey of discovery. There’s a fairly wide cast of supporting characters (his fellow Keepers) all with their own reasons and motivations behind how they came to be at the Neeft. Current release plan is to have part 2 completed, then fully edit up till the end of part 2. I am in the process of editing the earlier content as I complete the updates/re-writes. Apologies for any rough content in the meantime. My primary objective with Keepers of the Neeft is to work on developing content flow and establishing a community of people who enjoy my writing style. I write SF/F and horror as my primary genres, Keepers is actually my 3rd novel length work, but my current project. Updates of new Content will currently be in the form of one larger post on Tuesdays.

Dreams or Another World - Not a Zero
No, my name’s not Doug. I lied. Waking up in this hospital bed and right away I’m being questioned. They say I’m a hero, saved some girl. I don’t remember any of that. Like the stories you read, a stranger in a strange world where magic and fantasy races exist, but technology hasn’t advanced. It was all just a slice of life as I learned and grew in this world. Was… Author’s notes. Original work. First draft. Inspired by various fantasy games and books. Written with a focus on character development and interaction. Combat, progression, leveling, classes, but no numbers or stats. I’ll try to keep the language clean, PG-13, no smut. I’m in the US, writing in English. I intend to complete this story or at least bring it to a proper ending. I have a destination in mind. I find as I write, doors and ideas open, while others close and are discarded. I'm new to creating. My apologies now while I learn. I have not settled on a book cover or artwork, still looking for something that fits. Registered & Protected #20VjeKDv2U6nynW6
