Hey guys, It’s TheEccentricWitch here (aka TheGoldenMonarch in the past)with more than a few updates.

It has been a while, hasn’t it? I decided to start college last year, taking my diploma in pharmaceutical sciences. A lot of lecture and practicals followed along with studying and cramming until a whole year finally ended: still having 2 more to go till I graduate. Everything of my creativity was put on pause as I tried to navigate the strange college landscape and le me be honest, it hasn’t been easy.

For those who were aware, my novel was once taken up to a contract by a certain publisher though sadly I was forced to put it on hiatus due to the scheduling purposes. This led for my novel to be dropped but as a result I have learned more than a few things. One, what kept me going for all those months of writing were my reader’s comments and interactions which I can now completely satisfy as I’m currently viable to post it on any other website. My main platforms will be Webnovel and Royalroads...and it will be completely free until I decide otherwise. Second, I later hated the idea of my story being limited in any way. I wanted full freedom with it, to be able to post where i wanted, to obtain that precious reader feedback…but I regret that it took me a whole year to realize that.

Now before you guys continue reading, they are a few things I have to make clear. This is especially so for new readers.

Firstly, as this will probably disappoint my old readers, I won’t be updating any new chapters but I will be re-uploading them. The new old chapters will be edited, rewritten and very polished, with extra scenes added. The magic will feel much more immersive and the world will posses more depth. I have always meant to go back and edit them but time was against me. So this time, I would definitely take my time and take the advantage of what I had learned throughout my writing journey in the past year.

Secondly, this is and will be an lgbt fantasy adventure novel. At the time this idea was birthed, I was sick and tired of seeing a lot of gay/trans characters being portrayed as evil, or just general bad guys of the week. Such characters were treated as perversions in their stories. This was prevalent with earlier xinxia/wuxia webnovels, the hey days when the market was young and the readers not too many. It was so bad that that I was inspired to write my own story with a gay character staring it. If this will be an issue then I don’t recommend you read. As much as this story is serious, I plan to write and add more than a few of m/m romance scenes. I aim to make this novel true to its nature.

Lastly, and this will probably disappoint a lot, I will be publishing 2 to 4 chapters per month. This is the schedule I chose due to my circumstances but it will get better as I master my college and writing life. To be honest I face many challenges in managing my time (due to my addiction to reading among many other factors) but this time table is meant to be as a test drive, to see if I can juggle between the two facets of my life. I can only give it my best. Though I do promise my chapters will be much longer, not less than 2000 words per chapter at minimum. This was the only choice I had to fall back on.

In addition, patreon link will only exists for support. For any reader curious to text for any questions and what not, I am more than likely to answer on that platform. I have no experience making and handling discord channel and I do suffer from social anxiety. I will be promoting it from time to time but do be ware that its only to support my writing as such gestures act as a greatest motivations, especially for the attention starved authors like me. I plan for this to be this way until I’m sure I can reliably pump more chapters and be a lot more consistent.
