《With this hand, I shall crush the Heavens》Chapter 27 - Acting far too arrogant

Roast willow root, steamed taro-fried crickets, honey glazed bark cider, minted pork skewer, kun-peng roast duck, red tail crowned snapper, tree bark coconut crab, pan fried turnip cake, crispy garlic bean bun, egg yolk spicy dumplings, snow antler spring roll, stir-fried stuffed lamb, century-yang fermented shark's fin soup, McD*nalds Big Mac, sliced fresh peach, seven striped cream eel...
At the forefront of Peng Gong city's residential district, Sean Wu sat on an embroidered seat with silk weaving beneath etched tapestries. Holding onto a pair of bamboo chopsticks in his hands, he felt as though a new world had just opened up to him. No longer was he in poverty. No longer did he have to worry about accommodations or when his next meal would be.
[Twelve-hundred contribution points!]
When Sean Wu had turned in the mission to the residential district's auditing department, his eyes could not help but continually glance over at the number of points displayed on his token. Twelve-hundred points was, after all, a considerable sum of wealth.
In the outer ring district of Peng Gong city, a single high-end room, complete with three fine meals a day was only 65 contribution points. Bone-refining pills were 5 points a piece, and a sword and hammer were 25 contribution points altogether. With frugal spending, 1200 contribution points can last many months.
Sean Wu picked up a spicy meat bun and took a bite. Delicious! Absolutely delicious! This meal had to have prepared by a master of his craft. The aroma, the taste, all of it was made to perfection. Sean Wu felt that he definitely had to meet this head chef and thank him for the meal. Getting up from his Seat, seat strutted across the room toward the kitchen area.
Parting the bead curtains leading to the back kitchen, Sean Wu exclaimed. "Hello, I would like to meet with the-"
Sean stopped mid sentence. There was a gorilla in the kitchen, holding onto a cast-iron wok and casually tossing fried rice over an open flame. The rice simmered and sizzled, filling up the whole room with a wondrous aroma. Sean Wu shook his head, no, never mind the rice, why was there a g*ddamn gorilla in here?
Sean Wu considered thus, surely, the food in this esteemed restaurant had to have been cooked by this gorilla, seeing as there was no one else around in the kitchen. Was it possible that he had been mistaken, that what looked to be a gorilla was actually just a martial artist cultivating a transcendent bestial arts which had subsequently led his entire body and aperture to assume the likeness of an ape? Of course, that must have been the case. The more he thought about it, the more it made sense. After all, Peng Gong city was a subsidiary of the Saint Devil Walks a Thousand Miles Sect. Even the old bookstore at the end of an alleyway a few streets down the road probably had some kind of supreme being just sweeping away at the dusty bookshelves.
Approaching this cultivator in an ape's visage, Sean Wu lightly tapped him on the shoulder. "Esteemed sir, I must thank you for that delicious meal. Never have I had the pleasure of enjoying meat so tenderly grilled to perfection. If I may so ask, what wine in your opinion would best accompany this eight course meal?"

Aaaargh! Aaaargh! The gorilla began beating its chest and screeching at the top of its lungs. Sean Wu was suddenly taken aback. What the f*ck, this was an actual gorilla! Without skipping a beat, the gorilla picked up a wooden ladle and bonked Sean Wu over the head.
"FUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCKKKKKKKK!" Sean Wu hurriedly ran out the room, gritting his teeth. A red bump had formed on the top of his head. It took all of Sean's willpower to stop himself from further shouting out in pain. Ignoring the sounds of pots and pans clanging and clattering back in the kitchen, Sean held onto the top of his head and weaved his way through the moving crowd of waiters restaurant guests toward the other side of the room. He had a myriad of questions in his mind that could not be answered. Who was in charge of the kitchen? Why was there no chef in the kitchen? No, wait- more importantly, why was there a gorilla back there in the first place?!
At his seat, Sean Wu rubbed the bump on his head and could not help but frown. Yeah, the bump was definitely noticeable. It would take at least a couple minutes before this bump went away. Sean grit his teeth, the unbearable pain in his head was starting to irritate him.
"Hey get a load of this guy, is that a bee hive on his head, and what's with that ragged appearance? Does Peng Gong city's esteemed B*rger King restaurant allow anyone off the streets into its doors these days?" A dismissive voice called out.
A young man with slicked-back hair two tables over was sneering over at Sean Wu with disdain and mockery. Seeing that Sean had just sat down and not bothered to respond, the arrogant youth smiled sinisterly and rose from his seat, approaching Sean Wu's table. "Look at this doglike bastard. Why are you glaring at me? What? Got something to say? Go on then, say it to my face."
But Sean Wu did not spare this guy a passing thought. F*ck, why did that gorilla have to bonk him on the head so hard? Sean Wu gripped the table. The throbbing pain on his head was getting worse. No, it was starting to become unbearable. He needed to find a way to alleviate the pain. Sean picked up his cup of tea and stared down into it. Would this work? F*ck no! This cup of tea was like a steaming hot roast coffee! Sean frantically looked left and right. He needed something cold to ice down the wound. But everywhere he looked there was nothing present that could be of use. Everything around here was either steaming hot or roasting over a spit.
Just then, Sean Wu's eyes flickered. There was a crystalline cup in this young master's hand. Thin blocks of ice gently bobbed up and down inside the amber rose-colored tea. Sean Wu's bloodshot eyes snapped wide open. Without hesitation, he snatched the cup from the young master's hand. Sean Wu crazily poured the tea over his head, dousing himself in cold water.
The arrogant youth was momentarily speechless. As the sixth brother of the Tiangu direct branch, Yifan Tiangu had grown up with a complete and thorough understanding as to the mannerism of an arrogant young master. His brothers before him had each honed their arrogant arts* to the peak, regularly forcing restaurant patrons to give up their seats on the daily. It is said that even his ancestor had once dared to act arrogant against a wuxia main character. That ancestor barely made it out alive with four broken limbs--an impressive feat.

Thus, this art had been passed down for many generations, molded and perfected over the years. However in front of this domineering dragon of man, all Yifan's prior arrogance was nothing more than the barking of dog behind a wooden fence. The medicinal tea in his hand had been painstakingly brewed using halowberry leaves and split-copper root over an open flame for thirty hours. The cost to provide the restaurant with these ingredients was immeasurable.
Yifan Yiangu felt a cold sweat roll down his chin. He had expected this young man before him to return this barrage of insults with a barrage of venomous words in return. However this unfathomable guy was looking down on him like a old monster staring down a chess board! Seeing the value in Yifan's tea, he preemptively moved to face slap him by snatching his tea and dumping it out as if it were trash in his eyes! Yifan stared intensely at the ground in a deep in thought, biting onto his nail. No, this guy had even dared to pour it on top of his own head. He was not only merciless with others, he was just as merciless to himself! Such a person could definitely not be offended!
"Hey, what is your name?" Sean Wu asked. He had since calmed down from his frenzied state now that the pain had subsided. This mysterious stranger had managed to come to his aid with that timely cup of tea. As such Sean felt it appropriate to at know his benefactor's name.
He's asking for my family name. Does he intend to go up against my entire clan? Yifan Tiangu took a step back, eyes widened. This level of arrogance, it was on a whole different level! Had he offended someone with a supreme backing, a continental power that could threaten an entire lineage?!
Behind the two, a crowd had started to gather, causing quite the commotion.
"Hey, what's going on?"
"I don't know. I'm just here because everyone else started congregating."
"I think understand the situation." A youth sitting at a table nearby pushed the frame of his glasses up with his middle finger. A glint of light shone across the two glass panels covering both his eyes. "Can you all you see it? The bump on that guy's head, that is the birthright of the Housan clan. It is said the brighter and taller the hill on one's head, the more consumed by rage they become. Look at the hill on this young man's head. It is bright red like a beet. It is evident that he must be raring to fight."
Sean Wu's imposing figure cast a shadow over Yifan Tiangu. Two piercing eyes gazed down onto Yifan Tiangu. "....Not going to speak?"
Yifan Tiangu felt the hairs on his arm stiffen straight. Not good, not good! I have to make a run for it. Yifan immediately turned around and bolted towards the front door. He frantically began twisting the knob, but door would not open. Yifan swore internally, before diving headfirst out a nearby window.
A confused Sean was left standing there speechless at the sight of this man jumping out an open window from a two story building. What the hell? Sean had just wanted to ask for this guy's name. Was everyone in this world some kind of nutcase?
"How arrogant. You dare to offend our Tiangu family and chase off my brother like a mere trash!" A cold voice interrupted Sean Wu's train of thought. A young man with sharp features exuding an air of dominance stepped forth from within the crowd. Two celestial bodies revolved around his ring finger and a crescent moon shone brightly behind him. Baixao Tiangu walked briskly at a leisurely pace, crossing over ten million miles to arrive before Sean Wu.
"A sparrow's crest--it is the third brother, Baixao Tiangu!!" A cultivator gasped.
"A half-step into the qi refining stage, no one here is his match!!" Another man coughed up a mouthful of blood.
Sean Wu squinted his eyes. When had he ever dared to offend anyone, wasn't that just a baseless accusation? And how the hell did this guy 'leisurely walk' ten million miles to arrive before him, acting as if this wasn't a regularly sized 24,000 square foot restaurant and the crowd was only a couple of meters away.
"So you are the one." Baixao Tiangu narrowed his eyes, sizing up Sean Wu. "You are the one who chased off my dog brother! Good job! I had always hated that f*cker, I would have taught him a lesson too if first and second brother didn't spoil him so much."
Sean Wu did not know what to say to this, however Baixao Tiangu continued, "fellow daoist. I see that we two are bound by fate. It is an honor to meet a kindred spirit out here in these parts. Someone who is strong, tactful, prideful, and unscrupulous."
Sean Wu wanted to interject, but decided against it. [One of these adjectives is not like the others.]
"Come! Sit down, sit down. Let us have a drink." Baixou Tiangu laughed.
"......." Sean was hesitant. Would there be any good in associating himself with this person?
"I was planning on attending the auction house tonight. I hear there is some good alcohol up for grabs this time around. Maybe if I manage to win a keg, we two can have a drink. With my family's wealth, I'm sure winning it will not be a problem at all." Baixou poured himself a cup.
"I'm in." Sean Wu immediately agreed. He had recalled his university professor’s profound teachings. Always remember to follow the coattails of rich and powerful, only then will you become a functional member of society. Amitaba.
