Map of Terraria

This is an excerpt from the History of Terraria, one of the books found in Fate Online.
Under the orders of our royal highness, we loyal recordkeepers of the Trevignon Royal Library have compiled this record for the public access of those who call themselves 'Players'. As for those who call themselves 'Adventurers', they may apply for access to this book only after booking it a week prior to use.
It is the hope of the Trevignon Kingdom that this information would greatly aid them in their travels and adventures.
Inside this book would be a detailed view in the workings of Terraria, but for those of the lightfooted spirit we shall also compile a simplified guide on its very first pages. Beware of dependency on this initial guide though, as those who refuse to study this book in depth may find themselves in danger that was brought upon them by their foolhardiness.
Thus, the lesson begins with a simple division of the land of Terraria and its waters.
As shown in the map above, Terraria is separated between four large Kingdoms, one of which is your very own country Trevignon. And at its center, the Basin of Crossings serves as Terraria's largest source of freshwater and center of trade, as the Seas of Monsters have taught us to fear the smell of salt air.
After all, it is only those courageous or mentally-addled that would ever dare sail in those forbidden waters.
Now, we shall move on to the subject of the four Kingdoms. Separated into the cardinal directions, they serve as the homeland for certain races, their lands fit to match its people.
Aurelia, Sere, Akkandia, and Trevignon. To each their own, every Kingdom has its specialties and abilities, its unique beings and races.
Aurelia, the Northern land of the Mystics. From the elegant elves to the brusque dwarves to the powerful elementals, the people in this Kingdom live in the perpetual winter of Aurelia's mountains, learning the strongest of magics and mining the deepest of caves. Silver, mythril, adamantium, and gold is aplenty.

Thus, if one wishes to learn magic or craft the best weapons and accessories, it is best to head to the land of Aurelia. Prepare to wear clothing for the cold, and beware of mountain trolls and giants that you may meet on Aurelia's mountains.
Sere, on the other hand, is the Western land of the Demibeings. Anthropomorphism is common in this territory, as the furry Faunus, winged Birdmen, and the fiery Dragonkin can tell you. The land is as versatile as the people, but the real thing to remember is the amount of tamable monsters.
Thus, if one wishes to become a Beastmaster or to just have leather armor, Sere is the place to go. However, as the Kingdom of Sere is located in a desert, plan to carry light and pack enough water. Monsters of all kinds exist in this land, so keep in mind to prepare long-lasting weapons as well.
Now, let us move on to Akkandia, the Eastern land of Darkness. This Kingdom is the territory of the Dark races, like the frightening Demons to the sly Devils and Incubi, but keep in mind that in Terraria, dark is not necessarily evil. While Akkandia still holds the most amount of rulebreakers, as a whole Akkadia still remains to be as peaceful as the rest of the Kingdoms.
Akkandia is a land where power is a must, so prepare to meet difficult monsters and hardly survivable terrain should you choose to head into its land of volcanoes. But as the strongest magical creatures live in its lands, so do the best magical items and ingredients. Try if you dare to face malboros and dragons - maybe you might just find an object of legend.
Lastly, there is our land, the territory of the Humans, the Kingdom of Trevignon.

In a way we are unique. In a way, we are not. Because we Humans are the most mundane of all races, we hold no advantage nor any specialization on them. Our land is ordinary, our monsters are simple forest creatures of little mysticism.
But we of Trevignon work hard. As a singular race, from the hardy Vikings in our mountains to the Royal Knights of our castles, we have done our best to make the most of who we are. Thus, now while we have no specialties, we hold access to everything. Magic and ores we have bought from Aurelia, animals and leathers we shipped from Sere. Dragonscales and weaponry we took from Akkandia, and together we brought it home to our lands to make them ours.
Thus, we of the Trevignon are proud. We are the symbol of the peace that had lasted through Terraria over this past thirty years, the homeland of the heroes that had quelled the violence with the first Adventurers of the entire land of Terraria. We are proud of their actions of forcing the four Royal Families of the time to fight with words instead of weapons.
Terraria is now in peace. We hope to remind you too to keep it that way. Or else.
