Chapter 3
Unknown Magic
After waking up I remembered that I was supposed to have tea with mom yesterday evening… I had completely been occupied with yesterday’s arrangement which made me make up my mind that I would make it up to mom by spending some time with mom today. So when I arrived at the dining room my mother was there but I found that my father wasn’t. I said good morning to my mother who also replied back “Good Morning Leon.”
I apologized to my mother for not eating snacks and drinking tea with her yesterday and she simply said that it was alright. She had known what I was doing as Father informed her of what I had done and how talented I was.
She said that she was initially worried but she was also happy that I was talented. To my apology mother shook her head and replied: “Although I was slightly sad and disappointed I don’t hate to blame you, Leon.” She simply laughed after what she said and came over to give me a hug
Upon being hugged my cheeks started to heat up and I simply looked away which made her laugh even more but I continued to look away. I then remembered that my father wasn't present and asked my mother where he was.
She looked down at me and said, “Your father is getting an examiner for you.”
I was confused but recalled that examiners were people who assess the type of magic you can use. Normally you can only have 2 types of magic but I already knew that Leon was irregular and had more than just 2.
After having breakfast father arrived with a man who wore a green robe and also had glasses on. He looked fairly frail but I knew he wasn’t weak in the slightest, examiners were relatively strong individuals who also possessed great abilities and powers.

Father told me we would be doing the testing outside which led us to head outside to the training area. Samatha had told me she was going to stay behind and keep my mother company. I simply nodded and the 3 of us made our way out onto the training area which had been repaired but still contained remnants of the damage I left behind yesterday night.
When we arrived the man prompted me to touch an orb which he took out of his robe. The orb showed different symbols that represented the elements or magic we could use. For example, fire had a flame, ice was well ice, the wind had a tornado, and so on. As I touched the orb the first symbol that appeared was a miniature moon which was something abnormal as the moon magic had never been heard of before so this was a major breakthrough but right after I could see a ripple of space that looked like purple heat haze which further baffled the Examiner. Next, the orb changed again, and this time to a shade of dark red which resembles blood and seemed to be another unknown type of magic that nearly made the examiner faint. There were various other colors but they weren’t able to be processed as the orb could only measure 3 magics at a time.
A stronger orb was required to measure the rest of the magics I possessed
Even though I had more, the first 3 magics shown were 3 types of magic called unknown magic as there is no knowledge about them, and are the first of their kind to appear. I was also baffled as originally Leon was only able to use Ice, Fire, and wind which was considered very rare but the 3 types of magic I had were even more impossibly rare along with the other types of magic that at the moment weren’t able to measure.

The 3 types of magic I have are unknown which means that not much is known about them making me the first Multi unknown magic user in this world which made me kind of an Enigma among many. My father’s face was pale which showed that he had long lost consciousness. I myself was greatly baffled as well as I barely remember the many types of magic available in this world.
After all of us recovered from our shock, the examiner regained his composure and said he will relay this information to the examiner association so they could allocate which category I fell into. There are 8 categories which were Beginner, Novice, Expert, Master, King, Emperor, World Dominator, and Catastrophe. The strongest was from Novice to Catastrophe and there were only ever 2 catastrophe people in the world 1 one being the future Leon and Kisama Orikea the Lost Ronin who was rumored to have died long ago.
The examiner silently whispered to my father and me that I was already at the catastrophe class since having 3 magics was already amazing and if I mastered them I could even be in a higher tier. My father fell under the category of a king which made him greatly proud of my achievement when I was only 9 years old. I was the first in history to be rated a potential Catastrophe class at a very young age.
My father said it would be best to rate me as Novice and then later reveal my true rating later when I'm older having mastered my abilities along with the other magics I could use in the future. The Examiner hesitated but thought about it and later nodded that it would be for the best.
Shortly after, the examiner said his goodbyes and took his leave. My father said he would escort him out but before he did so father patted my shoulder and told me good work.
