《I Can Respawn In The Apocalypse》Chapter 45: Tier UP

*BANG!
With that shot, all strength left her body and she collapsed. She then started vomiting.
The gun in her hands must have turned extremely heavy by now.
For this is her first time killing someone. Not something but someone. A human to be precise. We, humans, have this instinct installed into us which blares out to not kill another human. This is because there is fear programmed into our heads by society. Of course, there are murderers but they are fewer in number because of the physiological fear to kill someone which is human.
But now is the Apocalypse, having the fear to kill someone is not a good thing. Which is why letting her kill a fellow human the faster the better.
After killing someone once it is easier to do it a second time. It might sound psychopathic but it is the hard truth.
This is an apocalypse after all. Giving her a chance to kill someone in a controlled environment is surely better than forcing her to kill someone while having her life on the line right?
Although the gun in my sister's hands should be extremely heavy. But after killing a few more that fear will disappear.
I know this because when I first killed someone in my previous life I... Wait did I even feel fear...
"..."
I stood there for a couple of seconds and thought about it and came to a conclusion...
I think I was one of the few who didn't care if I killed someone... Or maybe I didn't care...
She just continued to Vomit and I continued to watch. I then looked at the remaining survivors.
In a cold voice, I asked them if they wanted to live.
"..."
"There are 2 options I'm going to give you. The first is you stay in that Newsstand I'll pick you guys up on my route out of here, this option is fairly safe. The other is following me, this option is much more dangerous. Decide."

"I think I'll stay here..."
"Me too."
"I'll stay here as well."
Soon the group of survivors started deciding to stay here.
This was as planned of course. I stated that it was safer to stay here and wait for me to pick them up and that is true. But what they don't know is that it's much more dangerous to stay here. The reason for this is that the noise that man created previously is going to attract the Zombie's attention, After we leave this place will be swarmed by Zombies if I don't take care of it.
No one decided to come with us which was better. They are mostly a bunch of useless people.
After leaving behind that crowd of survivors we left to explore the remaining subway.
Now that I think about it I have yet to upgrade my stats.

"I can Tier up to 4 already?"
I think about it and then think some more and then it dawns upon me. There were about 3,000 and 400 something Zombies in Confucius Plaza and about a couple of hundred Zombies which I killed on my way here so that makes about 3,500-3,600 Zombies which I killed altogether...
Long story short, I killed a fucking lot of Zombies.
Let's max out to Tier 4 first.

I am most likely the only Tier 4 being in this world right now aside from some Ancient Cultivators and otherworlders.
I know that each otherworlder that comes into this world is at least a Tier 4 being. This is mostly due to how they seal their powers to bypass the world barrier.
But for now, I am one of the world's strongest beings.
The first year of the apocalypse is going to be an extremely harsh one.
To get past it one needs not only power but a Safe shelter.
In 1 month the blood rain will come. The Merchant Guild will descend to the world. That means I should clean out Manhattan of Zombies within a month.
Why? That's because after that month the blood rain will turn all Zombies into Tier 1 creatures.
To clean out Manhattan of Zombies I'll need to speed up my efficiency.
The way to do that is by contracting the Dungeon.
After Contracting the Dungeon and becoming a Dungeon Master I can teleport to anywhere within the dungeon meaning that if my dungeon was to cover all of Manhattans Subway systems then I'll be able to get to anywhere in manhattan within a breaths time.

Dungeon Scholar
Girl meets dungeon. What could go right? A story of a good-hearted Scholar driven by her compassion and curiosity. She might be a little combat averse, but um, isn't that only logical? Love me a good grimdark, but sometimes I want to read feel-good fiction that isn't pure action, romance, or comedy. The plot and characters of Dungeon Scholar won't be all happy and fluffy, and the world will be more dungeons and monsters than rainbows and puppies, but overall the sweet moments should overshadow the bitter. Let's say three dollops of sugar for every pinch of salt, with lemon slices left on the saucers? Enjoy. Note: This is NOT a typical dungeon story. If you are here for the dungeon aspect, then fair warning this will seem incredibly slow-burn to you. The dungeon will eventually become the most important 'character,' arguably, or the second-most important narratively, but you might jump out the window in frustration long before that happens. At its heart, the story's core remains 'girl meets dungeon,' not 'dungeon meets world.' (To be clear, this does or will have a plot! It's just the more conventional story-like elements contribute to Rowena Loress's greater story, not the other way around; no conflict takes center stage until it becomes personally significant to her. Meanwhile, have some Slice of Life.) Updates every Friday Cover made using Waifulabs Written using 4thewords (referral code: UZJRY55368)

Soul of the Warrior
In a world where Classes, Stats, and Levels are the everyday norm, Reivyn has a secret. He was unusually aware of his surroundings from an incredibly early age, and Skills and Stats were acquired easily. He was just the son of an ordinary village family, and nothing appeared out of the ordinary on the surface. But below the surface, dreams of another life help shape his mentality and growth. Why does he have some remembrance of a past life, and what is his purpose in this new one? "Soul of the Warrior" is what I call a Semi-Isekai LitRPG. I say "semi," because Reivyn's past life is remembered like a dream, and very incomplete. It is still Isekai, though, as he remembers enough that it directly shapes his personality and his sense of self. The System that governs the world of "Soul of the Warrior" is a combination of modified versions from Selkie's "Beneath the Dragoneye Moons" and Kosnik4's "Magic Smithing." I have changed enough of these Systems and combined them in a way that is unique that I'm mostly sure it's fine, but I still have requested permission to use these ideas. They have both graciously granted me permission. Winner of the April Writathon Challenge. Release Schedule is Mon, Wed, Fri on Royal Road.

Shades of the Moon
I'm rewriting this story! I have taken down Arc 2 and Arc 3 already to avoid spoiling my new novel. The only reason I'm keeping the first 10 chapters is nostalgia; the writing is awkward and the story is not plotted out properly, but it's here if anyone wants to compare it to the new one. If you'd like to read a more professionally written version of this story, I highly suggest checking out my Synergy. Synopsis version too-many-to-count: “I see,” Kiona said. “But . . . you’re changing once again, aren’t you?” The entity considered her question, lifting a clawed hand towards the night sky. They observed the back of their hand idly, watching the glowing orange veins pulse alongside their pitch-black exoskeleton. The wind picked up right then, and Kiona shivered—just as much from the cold as from the savage grin on the creature's face. “That’s right,” the entity said, clenching their hand slowly into a fist. They let out a quiet laugh, staring defiantly at the Moon as it rose from behind the clouds. “We are shades, yet not exactly. Not like the others. Here, in this world, we've become something more. We are the Shades of the Moon.” There was a heartbeat of silence, during which Kiona joined the entity in their skygazing. The light-green Moon loomed over the city, shining like the entity's eyes. It promised otherworldly knowledge and terrible secrets. It promised progress. It promised change. In that moment, Kiona couldn't have imagined anything more beautiful. “Shades of the Moon, huh?” she said, smiling a bit. It had a nice ring to it.
