《I Can Respawn In The Apocalypse》Chapter 11: NYPD

I look at the police department which has it's doors open wide. The moment I walk through the police department doors I hear a scream and some gunshots.
I quickly cut open my finger with and leave a drop of blood by the front door of the police department. In case I die I could revive near the exit.
I head in through the front door and a loud screech of a Zombie comes through the glass window.
I see a female worker banging her head against the glass window trying to get out to get me. I walk up the window and can see that it isn't going to break anytime soon, probably because it's bulletproof.
I walk away from the window and walk towards a door.
Following the sound of screams and gunshots.
Where there is a gunshot, there's a human, a live one. This is due to the fact that Zombies generally can't use firearms.
I reached a door which was shut and locked tightly.
I simply kicked in and the door caved in.
[Congratulations you have killed a Zombie.]
[You earn 100 Evolution Points]
Oh, there was a zombie... I looked behind the door and there it was crushed between the door and the wall.
I want to continue walking down the hallway but... there are a couple of zombies blocking my way.
They were zombified Officers.
I quickly dispose of them and grab their belts. I reach for their guns and got 5 handguns.
Nice find!
Although Handguns are good they aren't useful to me now because it'll attract Zombies to me if fired.
I equipped 1 and throw the rest of them into my backpack and continued heading towards the noise.
GROWL* Bang* Crash* Smash* Bang* Bang*
"AH! STAY AWAY!"
"MONSTER!"
A series of gunshots were fired.

I quickly found the spot where the noise was coming from.
I spot 4 police officers fighting against 20 zombies. Although officers have guns they're on the losing side due to the zombies constant pouncing and attacks. Two of the officers are holding off the zombies with these bullet proof glass shields. While the other 2 are focusing on shooting but due to the zombies not feeling pain and the requirement of shooting them in the head to kill them they are at a disadvantage.
They could probably fend off against these zombies but I need the equipment in here so...
I immediately take out my gun and...
Bang* (Head-shot)
Surviving in the Apocalypse for a couple of years you naturally become proficient at using firearms.
Because if you can't become proficient in the use of firearms you will probably die very early in the apocalypse unless you have an insanely powerful of weird power during the first awakening.
An awakening is the process where one gets an ability. Unlike mine which is a bug you get the ability most suited for you after consumption of an Evolution Core.
Evolution Cores are generally found in Zombies that have crossed the 2 tier stage. They're generally hard to kill if you don't have at least 20 men on your side. Even then almost half of them will die.
But with Firearms everything changes. Because you can attack the target from a distance so as long as you have 5 men and blockade the zombie in and fire non stop you will eventually kill it. But the price for that is a lot of Bullets. And in the Apocalypse it is hard to get bullets.
This is why America became on of the most Early Powerhouse nations in the world. The reason being Guns can be found in almost every city in America. There are guns in every Police Department, and every gun shop; 30% of Americans personally own a gun in there houses.

So guns in America is a very easy thing to get. Meaning they're able to kill zombies easier.
But owning a gun doesn't mean your good at using, but during the Apocalypse you need to use a gun almost 24/7, in the early stages of the Apocalypse guns are the sole item that keeps you safe from Danger.
After killing off the Zombies, I notice that one of the 2 officers that were blocking the Zombies had long slash marks across his chest. Probably from the claws of one of the Zombies he was blocking.
The blood dripping from the wound had already changed to the color of purple. A sign of the infection of the first stage.
The Officers immediately fell to the ground gasping for air. After blocking off all the Zombies and fighting for their lives they would obviously be tired out.
I continue to stare at the wound of that officer and suddenly said something out of the blue.
"That wound is infected."
Immediately the 3 other officers turn to look at him.
Suddenly in the center of attention the officer panicked...
I... I...
Sigh*
"It was while I was grabbing the shield. Lieutenant James popped out from behind the gun room and landed that hit."
All 3 of their faces immediately paled.
John, Issac, Joanna give me a quick one; I don't want to become one of those things.
He immediately took out his gun and threw it over to an officer with blond hair.
"No, no your going to be alright, it's only a scratch, the wound isn't even that bad. You can be saved!"
"No, John. The world has already changed to hell, Even Zombies are popping up left and right. I wouldn't be too surprised if I suddenly changed into one at any second. I am infected John. If I could I wouldn't hesitate to cut the part infected off but it's across my chest of all places."
"Jack..."
"Please promise me one thing John..."
"What?"
"Please find my family and help take care of them for me. I know it is selfish of me but..."
"I Promise, I prom-"
"Hey, I don't want to interrupt but you can still be saved you know."

The New World
An AI calling itself Schema has assimilated earth into its system. As a consequence, everyone gained access to status screens, power-ups, and skills. This AI turned these concepts from fiction to fact. It's easy to become intoxicated with leveling up and becoming stronger. To some, it's too good to be true like living out a dream. For Daniel, however, it's closer to a nightmare. He's in a bit of a predicament. Cracks in our dimensional fabric have unleashed terrifying beasts from dark, abyssal places. Schema organizes these cracks into dungeons, giving the native species of the planet a chance to fight back. Daniel finds himself trapped in one of these dungeons. Not long after, he discovers there's only one way out. Kill or be killed. (Note: I am currently editing the story and I'm uploading those edits. It will take time to do this, so if you find a huge shift in the story's formatting, that's why. I'm steadily hammering away at it, but it's going to take time. Thanks for your understanding, if you're offering it.) This is a lit-RPG inspired by the Fallout series of games and the Legend of Randidly Ghosthound. The Shadow That Preludes Death (The Favoured)
Magic and fantastical beasts run wild on the countless worlds of the Fabric. Deities take an active interest in the Fabric. The Favoured, immortal mages of immense power vie for territory and power in the Fabric. Umbra a naive ward of the Duke is almost Grown and that means she will need to take an apprenticeship. The issue is she isn't good at anything, but she catches the eye of a master of magic, he thinks she might be one of the fabled Protectors the ones that would save them from the coming destruction. But Umbra isn't the hero everyone wants her to be. Updates will at least one chapter every two days. Notable Location Poliagoras. Poliagoras is the most important world in the Fabric partly due to it being the centre of everything both literally and metaphorically. Trade, commerce, travel, and politics are all conducted primarily on Poliagoras, it has the biggest city in the fabric stretching to cover almost the entire world. It also holds all the known Great portals in the Fabric which are the only way to travel to other worlds. Even without these things, Poliagoras would still be the most important world in the Fabric as it is home to the largest population of Favoured. They were mages chosen by the Deities and given the potential to become more than mortal. I cannot overstate how appreciated constructive criticism is. This is the first story I have written of my own volition so even a small comment on how I could improve would be great. The current title is most definitely a working one. I know it isn't great.
