“Wow, I couldn’t even sleep last night.” said Raven as he looked at the stage before him.

“Were you so excited about fighting?” asked Jet, who was sitting next to him.

“Not really, we’ll win anyways. I was excited about watching it.” said Raven in reply, with a bored expression.

“Seems we aren’t really different.” said Ur, appearing out of nowhere.

“WTF, where were you all this time?” asked Jet while looking at her.

“Litmus said that he’d give me personal classes.” she said with a smile.

“”I didn’t think he was a lolicon.”” said Jet and Raven simultaneously.

“I’m older than you, you know?” asked Ur with an irritated voice.

“I doubt you’re older than that old man.” said Jet, oblivious to her biological age.

Then Lily shouted “Shut up! The principal is about to say something.”

Indeed, he was holding the microphone and walked up the stage. “Hello, everyone. The second round is about to start, please prepare yourselves.” he said with a sleepy voice and paused for a while, rubbing his eyes. “Please form your teams and draw the lots.”

He then waved his hand and a box appeared. Stein sloppily placed it in the middle of the stage as a hologram appeared. It was pretty simple.

The teams would draw lots and get numbers from one through five. The last team would fight a seeded team while the others would fight by, Team 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4.

They quickly formed their teams. Of course, Lily, Raven, Tulga and Jet were in one team.

Nicholas had his attendant, the normal-looking boy and a girl who resembled his fiancé.

The other was a group of seniors.

There was a group of newcomers, with the berserker girl in that team.

The last one was a random team, consisting of the unorganized survivors.

The representatives of each team went and picked their lots. Raven’s face suddenly paled as he looked at the paper.

The others facepalmed, but Tulga tried to cheer him up.

Then Jet butted in, “Let me pick it next time.”

He then went and sat at a corner of the seats, overlooking the entire match.

Now, Stein had woken up and was energetic “Okay, the first match goes to, Team Cangard and Team Senior.”. He then smiled and sat on a lifeguard’s seat “Battle Start!”

Now that they looked at it, the stage was a bit bigger. It was slightly bigger than 2 soccer fields merged together, instead of the previous one.

The 2 teams charged off, leaving the plant boy at the back.

*Boom!*

A bomb exploded, revealing a pink smoke.

The seniors had charged into the smoke while Nicholas’s teammates had backed off.

Their opponents got out of the smoke, but were visibly exhausted. The girl looking like his fiancé was smiling.

This was obviously her doing.

A female senior threw a [Fire Ball] at Mark. He ate it, and sent it back a little stronger.

Nicholas used his wings to charge at them, with his fist covered in lightning.

*Bam!!!*

A senior had clashed with him. His body was covered with an [Earth Armor].

Nicholas hit him with his tail, but his opponent was unfazed. The tail hit imbued with Worldly Energy didn’t faze it, so it should be harder than steel at worst.

He was hit by a strong uppercut and was sent flying, falling near the plant boy.

He tried to use [Vine Grasp] to trip the armored senior, but it was broken.

At this time, Mark and the fire-using girl were in a heated long-range combat, literally.

The field below them was scorched, as they fired off fire attacks.

Then the Lavastor girl was fighting a man specializing with knives, and was on equal footing.

This would seem impressive, but she was clearly being oppressed while using poison and magic.

The other boy was creating knives non-stop and the ground was littered with them, threatening to pierce their foot, adding another depth to the fight.

Another bomb exploded, creating green gas.

Lavastor quickly withdrew and regrouped. Her opponent was nowhere to be seen.

The principal jumped in and retrieved the boy. He breathed as if his lungs were as dry as the desert.

The others didn’t seem to mind.

Nicholas was hit again and flew towards the edge of the stage.

He landed just before it and was kicked by the armored senior and left the stage.

At least, that’s what would have happened.

Mark had rushed off and pushed him into the stage, sacrificing himself.

“Too bad, his sacrifice will be in vain.” said the senior as he uppercut him and sent him to the air. He then waited patiently for him to come down, but he didn’t.

He was flying. His eyes had turned reptilian and were electric blue.

‘Hmm, he is resisting my skill, interesting.’ thought Stein.

[Thunder Clap]

A fat lightning fell on the earth giant, knocking him down. There was a crater under him.

After a second, the recipient stood up as if nothing happened, and looked at the one flying above him.

As for Nicholas, he had a strained expression on his face. He was obviously struggling to stay in the air.

[Earth Burial]

As the armored senior clapped his hands, the cracked pieces of the stage flew over and covered Nicholas. They clashed together, making a splashing sound.

The attacker was suddenly paralyzed. It was the Lavastor’s deed.

The fire mage kicked blasted her off the stage. By this time, the plant boy was threatened to leave the stage.

Now, it was 3v1, but one was paralyzed thankfully.

*Roar!!!*

A beastly roar made some of the students cover their ears.

It was coming from the landmass in the air.

The earth then exploded, pieces of earth raining upon the ground.

After examining the stage, Nicholas started crying. It wasn’t a cry of defeat.

His expression was solemn, but the tears slid down his face.

These were tears of anger.

[Thunderstorm]

Nicholas’s mouth opened, a black gas emerging from it. It then formed a cloud above the stage.

The thunders started falling upon the stage, covering it in craters. The craters were scorched black and were deeper than what was caused by the skill earlier.

The opposing team had lost 3 members, and they were on the ground. Half of their flesh was charred black and had lost consciousness.

The one covered in earth was standing, but the armor had started to crack.

Then Nicholas’s expression turned into that of rage and he shouted [Heaven Breaker].

A mass of lightning formed over his hand as he tried to throw it. But his arms didn’t budge. He then fell to the stage, the cloud soon dissipating.

The senior with ‘I’m dead’ expression stared at him in disbelief.

“Match over! Team Senior wins.” said Stein. He then looked at Nicholas and shouted to the nurses “He has minor magic overuse!”

“Wow, he’s strong.” said Jet with wide eyes.

“I don’t think I can survive that unscathed.” said Raven as he nodded.

“Do you even think you’re his match? Honestly, he’s the only son of the Cangard family head, Nicholas was surely nurtured to the brink by his family.” Lily then looked at the two who had blank expressions.

“”So?”” asked the two of them at the same time, with a face that surely meant ‘I don’t care.’

She then facepalmed, turning to Ur who had an amused expression on her face “What do you think about him?”

“Pretty good.” she said, thinking of the old dragons back at Dragonar.

“Now, for the next match.” said Stein with a bored expression. “It’s a fight Team Dropouts and Team Berserking Girl.”

Raven then turned to Lily “I’m gonna take a nap, wake me up when there’s an interesting match.” He then proceeded by lying down on the bench and closing his eyes.

He was snoring within seconds. Lily couldn’t help but sigh in defeat. She then looked at the stage.

He woke up in a grey room he recognized as the one he painted this color. The goddess was arguing with a … man?

Raven then looked at the man with a strange expression and recognized him. It was Crow.

“Fuck off, it’s my domain. You are not welcome here!” shouted Eris.

“Huh? What did you say? I can’t hear you over a dog barking. Oh wait, you were barking.” Crow mocked her.

“You want divine judgement, mortal?” her tone turned cold.

“I don’t care if you do this or that, get out!” he shouted.

“Divine judgement it is.” she said with a grin.

“Fine, have it your way.” said Crow with a grin too.
