《Reincarnated as a Dragonman (On Hiatus)》Chapter 25 - Battle Royale (Part 2)

“B group battle royale, START!!!” shouted the principal with an energetic face, deafening the students again.
The second part of the battle royale was just about to commence as the participants got on the stage.
However, on this one, Tulga and Jet created an instant alliance and started their fight.
Jet sent one flying with a [Lightning Bolt].
Tulga slashed one with his [Spirit Claw].
The fight went on, but the entire room became quiet when one of the students started emanating a killing intent.
The one who did this was a girl with long pink hair, and had a fit body. Currently, her eyes were red and were glowing.
The principal thought with a smirk ‘Hmm, interesting. There’s another berserker.’
But Litmus had a frown. The school had Robert to take care of, and there was actually another one.
This made his job as the disciplinary teacher far harder, which was actually just stopping the dangerous ones from destroying the academy.
All of their eyes were on her and after a while, one girl tried to sneak attack her, she was instantly beheaded.
“Shit!” shouted the principal as she caught the girl and her head, vainly trying to put them in place. “Hey, kid, don’t just go killing my students.” said Stein with a frown.
He didn’t really care about it, but it was troublesome making up lies.
As expected, Krouxorth Academy didn’t forbid killing. If Jet and Raven didn’t have Robert’s backing, then they would have been bullied at least a hundred times.
Due to their respect for Tyrannos and fear of Robert, they restrained from making enemies of them.
A group of delinquents tried. Let’s just say that they had a very painful experience before going to meet their maker.
The principal usually made up some believable lies and bounced off their anger. This was because he didn’t want his students to grow up to become theorists; he wanted them to become great mages in the future.

The girl then glared at him with her red eyes, sending shivers down his spine. It was more of an instinctual fear, as if a wolf cub was looking at an adult rabbit.
No one tried to mess with her, so they continued their respective fights.
Jet jabbed one on the temple, knocking him out.
He then proceeded by roundhouse kicking a girl out of the boundary, using the momentum to kick another boy in the head.
Tulga slashed left and right, man and woman, everything. Pained shouts could be heard from his direction.
That was until it was drowned by another one. It was coming from the red-eyed girl’s direction.
She was tearing through the mages like they were nothing, using magic occasionally. As Jet observed it, he found out 2 of her elements.
They were [Blood] and [Darkness]. [Darkness] and [Shadow] had a great difference. The former would control the darkness to a greater extent, while the latter would become the darkness and control it to a lesser degree.
No matter how you look at it, becoming the darkness would be beneficial. However, [Darkness] magic could imbue its characteristic to other elements. This way, she was injecting [Dark Blood] into them, and destroying them from inside.
This was done by using the air in their lungs and changing the hydrogen’s chemical formula, or that would be what Raven would have told if he actually understood what was happening.
“WTF?” he mumbled as he looked at the bloody scene in front of him. “Is that Stein guy apathetic or something?” he asked.
“Nope.” answered Laura from behind him, sitting on a floating ice chair. “He’s a sadist.”
“Woah!” shouted Raven “At least make a noise or something before you do that.”
“I’ll try.” she said with a smile and floated closer to the stage.

The previously brown stage was dyed red, with a few corpses and few heavily injured students. The number of the injured ones decreased by the moment as Stein picked them up one after another.
He wouldn’t leave them to their fates if they surrendered anyways, that wouldn’t be fun.
Currently, there were only 12 left. If 2 of them were foolish enough to pick a fight with that berserker, then they would become fodder for the others to step on.
If they attacked each other, the currently stopped girl would charge into the battle. Not to mention she was covered in blood, not her own.
One of them decided to give up and held her hands up, walking to the edge of the stage.
*Bam!!!*
The senior was blown into the floor. The attacker was the girl with red eyes.
“Don’t even think about running.” she said with a large grin on her face. Her two eyes now looked like the windows to hell now.
“What did I even expect?” said Jet as he sighed, sinking into his shadow.
“Dude, wait.” said Tulga as he tried to grab Jet’s hands who sunk into the shadow.
He didn’t appear from anyone’s shadow, but instead, stayed there.
Jet didn’t leave the field so he wasn’t disqualified.
[Crimson Flash]
A blinding red light flashed and blinded every single person in the room, excluding the principal with sunglasses. No one knew how he did it, but he would always have what he needs at the right time.
Two heads rolled on the ground, Tulga recognized them as 2 of the top fighters in the sophomore year.
“Battle Over!!!” he shouted as a gentle yellow light covered the dead students, who were cleanly placed in a line.
It formed a sphere over them and an image of a watch appeared from thin air. This was the pocket watch type.
The principal then turned his hand, as if turning the big hand on the clock, which followed its movements with a sigh.
The detached heads fell glued themselves to their bodies, the dead ones started breathing.
Stein then clapped his hands as nurses came and took them to the emergency room.
“Thank you all for competing in the first stage of The Monthly Tournament, the second stage will take place tomorrow.” he then paused and looked at the students. “So no class tomorrow.”
Some sighed, some laughed. Raven thought that the other group had such violent contestants. Heck, he didn’t even know Tulga was such a monster.
“That girl was scary.” said Tulga as his eyes were pressed down, still shaking.
“Hmm?” looked Raven at his shaking friend.
“She almost killed me there, I felt it.” said Tulga as he shook vigorously.
“Well, you survived, what’s the big deal?” asked Raven with a carefree tone as he walked away into the dorm.

Malt the Manslayer

By joining the war on the southern border. Not a war against mythical beasts or powerful demons, but against other humans. He thought that he’d finish a single deployment then come back to the castle, proud enough to stand beside his friends again. Little did he know that he’d become one of the most feared fighters on the battlefield, killing so many that he’d earn the moniker, “Malt the Manslayer.”
