《Reincarnated as a Dragonman (On Hiatus)》Chapter 23 - Raul vs Crow

“What a long day.” exclaimed Raven as he collapsed on the sofa of the living room.
Jet just looked at him with a mocking gaze. In fact, he didn’t actually do anything during the shopping except enjoying himself.
He peeked into the consciousness of the clone to see where they were and stuff, after seeing that Robert looking like a zombie, he almost collapsed from laughing.
Ur was upstairs with Robert, cleaning the room filled with Robert’s trash.
Originally, The 4 Rulers were all from Tyrannos and it was made to accommodate 4 students.
Soon, most talented students started attending Rulain Royal Academy, as the environment was better there.
*Crash!!!*
A loud thump could be heard from upstairs.
The two ignored it and turned on the CV. Although it was mostly used for gaming, it also showed the news.
(… and Yeavershore Academy has been destroyed.) said the newswoman as the broadcast ended.
“What!?” shouted Jet.
“Hmm?” wondered Raven as he looked at Jet.
“Yeavershore Academy was destroyed.” said Jet, looking at him.
“Is it supposed to be a big deal?” he asked with an annoyed face.
“Of course it is, it’s one of the 8 great academies.” said Jet with an all-knowing tone.
“What?!” shouted Raven with a surprised expression.
Hearing the commotion, the 2 above rushed down the stairs.
“What happened, did someone die?” asked Robert urgently.
“Yeavershore was destroyed.” said Jet with a disturbed tone.
“What?!” shouted Robert. Of course Urgere didn’t, as she was oblivious to most things. “That can’t be, then could Lux-” he mumbled, running off to the school.
*An eerie silence.*
“So what now?” asked Raven.
“I’m gonna study.” said Jet with a smirk as he ran off to his bedroom.
Raven then looked at Ur.
“So, let’s have a talk.” said Raven
…
Almost an hour passed since they started their talk. Raven became thirst and walked up to the fridge to get a soda, asking if she wanted any, replied by a nod.
She was apparently a dragon and lived as a toddler for all those years. She didn’t know much about the world, which Raven explained to him.
Before coming to this world, she was a student in America and that’s all he could get out of her.
It was like an interrogation, with Raven being on the interrogated side.
He then walked towards the sofa, seeing Jet on the stairs.
“How long?” he asked.
“Since ‘I studied in America’. Is that a school?” asked Jet, oblivious to the fact that America was a country.
Conveniently, he didn’t hear about the part that she was a dragon and didn’t figure out about the strange names.
“Yes, it’s a famous school in the south.” answered Ur, remembering the thing she heard from the janitor.
“Oh, I don’t know much about that.” said Jet as he helped himself to a soda from the fridge.
*An awkward silence.*
“Let’s go up.” suggested Raven. The other two followed him to the library and chose a book to read.

Raven chose a random book, and Jet did that too.
Ur gave a gentle tug at Raven’s sleeve and asked “Can I have that?”
“Sure.” he said before taking a glance at the title.
It was ‘Dragon Magic Basics’. He then thought that he’ll read it at a later date.
Soon enough, everyone was in their room. Raven did 200 push-ups, 300 sit-ups, 500 squats and 100 punches.
This was the training he did before sleep for 1 month, which means 3 months in the Tyrannos World.
His training clothes were once again soaked in sweat. He’d do training every evening and wash his clothes in the morning.
It would be dried by evening, which he soaked in his sweat again.
What he was wearing were a normal shirt and trousers, resembling gym clothes with 3 black lines running through their side.
The color was originally light yellow, but was slowly turning white due to excessive washing.
He then decided to have a bath.
The dorm had a big bath, almost 10 square meters. It was built on a natural hot spring, so it didn’t need to be heated prior to a bath.
It was located on the second floor, which was filled with entertainment rooms. There was even one for playing.
It wasn’t used much, as they weren’t people to play games, unless forced by someone, *cough* Robert *cough*.
All in all, they only came here twice in their time living here.
The bath, however, was a daily spot. They didn’t go a couple days without a bath after experiencing the healing effects of the spring.
There was a dressing room with a few baskets for clothes to sit and there were towels to wash their body with.
Raven took a towel and messily threw his sweaty clothes to a basket, walking through the hanging cloth door.
There was a Chinese letter for ‘bath’ on it, as Raven suspected.
There were showers without any cover to wash his body and there was the bath at the end of the hall.
Raven jumped into the bath, enjoying the warm water cleanse the sweat from his body.
The warm sensation made him feel sleepy, but he decided to hold up.
*Splat!*
Something similar to a splash of water was heard from Raven’s left, almost stopping his heart right there.
“Ah, finally, a bath.” said Ur, paying no mind to him.
“W-What are you doing here?” asked Raven, red like a tomato. This was his first time seeing a naked girl and a stream of blood couldn’t help but flow down his nostril.
“Having a bath.” said Ur with a carefree tone.
“I’m a man, you know.” warned Raven, barely suppressing his embarrassment.
“So?” asked Ur with a funny face.
“Aren’t you embarrassed?” asked Raven, he looked like he was going to burst into flames.
“Nope, I’ve been seen by many men before. I’m used to it.” she said with a smirk.
“Screw that, I’m going out.” shouted Raven as he got up. After a second, he sat back.

“Aren’t you leaving, Mr. Tomato?” asked Ur as she floated towards Raven.
“I-I forgot my towel at the shower.” said Raven as he looked away.
Then her bootie pressed on Raven’s shoulder and he felt himself heating up from inside. He then suddenly launched upwards like a maniac and covered his privates with his tail.
…
“Hah, hah, that was dangerous.” said Raven while heavily breathing. He looked towards the little ‘Raven’ and he ran towards his room.
After calming himself down, he then remembered the letter.
It said that he should learn from the grimoire with Jet, for some mysterious reason.
He grabbed the grimoire and walked towards Jet’s room. He then knocked on the door, but wasn’t answered.
Raven then peeked through an opening.
He was practicing with a black spear. Jet’s movements looked sloppy, since he was only learning and had absolutely no training in using weapons except for the few slashes he did with the cross sword.
Raven then knocked even harder, alerting Jet. He swiftly turned his head towards Raven and motioned for him to come in.
“What is it?” asked Jet.
“Where did you find that?” asked Raven as he pointed at the spear, which then hid itself away in Jet’s storage ring.
“At a shop.” answered Jet, turning his head away from Raven.
“What the hell? How come you saw it and I didn’t?!” shouted Raven.
“That was just a clone following you.”
“What, you can do that?” asked the wronged Raven. He knew how to use [Shadow Clone], but he wasn’t aware of the auto-pilot mode and could only create 1.
“Get to the chase already.” said Jet with an irritated tone.
“Here.” said Raven as he threw the grimoire to Jet.
He then looked at the name and asked “Where did you find this?”
“In the library.” said Raven as he looked away from Jet.
“This makes it even.” said Jet as he opened the page.
Remembering the time he read the book for the first time, he peeked into it.
A bright light flashed and both of their consciousnesses were dragged into the book.
…
2 men were standing in a forest clearing, both wearing black.
One of them was wearing a black leather jacket with a plain red T-shirt inside, that person had black trousers torn on the part that it connected to the dark green combat boots.
The said person’s eyes were glowing a ghostly purple color. His hair was black and he had a handsome face, his age couldn’t be more than 25.
As for the one standing opposite to him, it was a man with black military clothes. The buttons were made of gold and the belt was dark green. Surprisingly, there was no medal or mark on the military uniform.
The said person had reptilian red eyes and black hair. Raven recognized this person as Crow.
*Clash!!!*
A sound of metal clashing another could be heard.
The cause of the sound was the two combatants.
Crow’s hands had been covered by black scales and glistened in a metallic manner, clashing against the black spear in his opponent’s hand.
The shockwave made the trees shiver.
*Clack!*
*Clack!*
*Clack!*
An intense fist fight continued until Crow appeared from the other man’s shadow.
His shadows turned into spears and thrust Crow.
He appeared from his clone’s shadow and divided into 2, making it 3 Crows.
Then they shuffled as they attacked their opponent.
The other man swung his spear and a wave rushed at Crow.
They jumped over it, as the wave cut several trees into halves.
“You’re as good as ever, Crow.” said the purple-eyed man as he stabbed the air, aiming at Crow.
“You too, Raul.” said Crow as the 3 united and became a slightly muscular Crow.
The skills that he just used were [True Shadow Clone] and [Shadow Absorption].
The first one would create clones at 80% of his power, better than the 30% normal clones.
The second one [Shadow] skills and magic attacks, strengthening the user.
The 2 then savagely smiled as they both used a magic attack.
[Disease Beam]
A lifeless grey beam launched at his opponent.
[Reverse Polarity]
Gravity didn’t apply to the 2 and they both floated off the ground, the wave missing in the process.
This position was beneficial to the long-range physical fighter while being disadvantageous to Raven.
*Crack!*
Raul’s ribcage cracked as he was hit by a red lightning. This was Crow’s [Lightning Movement] form.
He had made a miscalculation and forgot that his opponent had the [Lightning Element].
But it didn’t stop as just a crack, as Raul was sent crashing through countless trees, finally hitting a mountain and shaking it, which was almost a kilometer away from him.
[Dust End]
The trees started turning to dust and slowly moved towards the fallen Raul.
*Stab!*
*Stab!*
*Stab!*
*Stab!*
*Stab!*
*Stab!*
…
Countless consecutive stabs were fired from Crow’s back.
Raul smiled and said “I can use clones too.”
There were currently 3 clones of Raul behind him and they had covered Crow’s body with holes.
Crow coughed blood, but he smiled.
Crow’s body turned to dust.
Raul suddenly got to his knees, and held his head as if he was experiencing the worst migraine of his life.
In fact, he was, Crow had attacked his soul in his [Soul Form].
…
“What the heck!” shouted Jet.
“Great, isn’t it?” asked Raven with a stupid grin on his face.
They had just come out of the grimoire. Jet then suddenly got up and fired a few slashes with his spear. And unsurprisingly, it was far sharper than before.
Then Raven hardened his scales and smiled. His hand felt a lot heavier, signifying it became harder.
