Yuuta and Shiho quickly board the train.
“Thank God! We made it in time!” says Yuuta.
“Yes…” replies Shiho.
They sat quietly until Shiho said,
“Yesterday, Hiro came up to me after you left.”
“Really?! What was he doing?”
“He said he was out to buy some groceries for his dinner.”
“Oh I see.” says Yuuta.
In a couple minutes, they reach Tambaguchi Station. Yuuta gets off the train and takes a brief at the city with sparkling eyes.
‘Yuuta looks excited!’ thinks Shiho.
“SHIHO!”
“Y-YES?”
“LET’S GO!”
“Y-yes…”
“Where do you want to go first Shiho?” asks Yuuta.
“Um… I-I don’t know…” replies Shiho as her voice fades out.
After a brief discussion on where to go next, they go to ‘Kawaramachi OPA’ mall for some shopping.
“Hey Yuuta! Which one looks better?”
“Um… the left one suits you better…” answers Yuuta.
“Ok! I’ll get this one!” replies Shiho.
They get the dress and go to the cashier.
“Thank you for shopping with us!”
Just when they get out of the shop, Shiho looks at Yuuta.
“Why are you looking down Yuuta? Are you okay?”
“Ye-yeah! I’m doing fine!”
“Then why do you look worried?”
“Um… That’s because I was just thinking… if… you were… um… enjoying the date or no…” replies Yuuta as his voice fades out.
Shiho looks at him and smiles and thinks,
‘He’s worried about me if I am enjoying the date or no.’
And she says,
“Don’t worry! I enjoy being with you! So if I am with you, it’s enough for me!”
Yuuta looks at her warm smile and smiles back. After walking a while, Yuuta says,
“I am hungry. Want to grab a bite?”

“Sure!” replies Shiho and they go for a nearby café. Yuuta and Shiho sit down and start going through the menu. Shiho gets excited and starts getting through the menu.
Yuuta thinks,
‘I’m glad she’s excited and is having fun! Ah… that smile. I just want to protect it and have it all to myself. Well, I’m here with her, and that’s all that matters. I just want to be by her side. I just don’t want to leave her… I am just-’ thinks Yuuta when Shiho interrupts him and says,
“Yuuta! Have you decided on what to eat?”
“Oh… Yeah! I got it!” says Yuuta.

“…And then we had a great time eating and talking with each other.”
“Hahaha! I am loving it! What happened after that?”
“Um… After that we went for some sightseeing and a movie. A romantic one~”
“Ooooo! Romantic! Please Continue.”
“Haha! Yes! Then it was getting late so we headed home. So he came with me to drop me off at my house. And after he left me before my house, he looked around for a while and then suddenly, kissed me and said, ‘I love you Shiho. So, please always stay by my side.’ and after saying that, he left.”
“Oooo! I really envy you! I wish I could have someone I love too.”
“Haha! You will soon Sena.”
“Yeah yeah, only God knows about that. Well, you don’t look like you’re in a relationship. Why did you break up with him?”
“It was all going well. We had a seven months of relationship already but…” and Shiho suddenly spaces out.
“Shiho! Shiho! Are you okay?”
“…Yeah I am fine.”
“You suddenly started spacing out.”
“Well, why did you came to Tokyo?”

“I wanted to complete some promises I made a long time ago, so I came to Tokyo.”
‘Well, it certainly was a wrong choice to come to Tokyo…’ mumbles Shiho to herself.
“What? I couldn’t hear you.”
“Ah! It’s nothing!”
“Sorry I spaced out all of a sud-”
And suddenly Sena’s phone starts ringing.
“Excuse me” says Sena and picks up the phone.
“Yes? Yeah~ I am out right now. Okay! Okay! Bye~” and she hangs up the phone.
“I am really sorry Shiho, but I’ll have to leave! I have some work to do! I’ll see you later! Bye~”
“Yes! Bye~ Good luck on your work!” says Shiho and Sena leaves.
Shiho stays there and starts to look out of the window and starts to think,
‘Was it okay for me to leave and come here?’

*Ding Dong*
“Yes! Coming!” and the door opens,
“Oh! Sena! Did you get the things?”
“Yes! But why did you have to call me so urgently?! I was with my friend!”
“Oh! Sorry! I didn’t knew that! Tehe~”
“Please don’t do such things like ‘Tehe~’ you look creepy! Sato, you’re stupid! Hmph!” and Sena turns around.
“Oi! How many times do I tell you not to call me by my name! What if someone hears?!”
“Okay okay! I’m sorry! But, if you need anything, let me know, I’m at home. So, feel free to call me. And tell sensei to take care! Bye~”
“Yup, I will! Bye~” and the door closes.
Sena starts thinking on her way back,
‘Why did Shiho break up with him? Wasn’t he her childhood crush? Haa, I hope I find someone to love soon too!’ and she goes to her room.
“Oi Sensei! Did you take your medicine yet?!”
“Don’t shout!”
“Then why are you shouting?!”
“It’s because you are shouting!”
“Then I won’t shout!”
“Okay then! I won’t too!”
Both look at each other and start laughing!
“Well, sometimes I wonder why you call me sensei.”
“Isn’t that because we made up on not to call each other by our names.”
“In public though. But at house, it’s fine.”
“Oh… Ok… Wait! Don’t change the topic! Take your pills!”
“Okay okay! Sensei!”
“W-well, Yuuta…”
“Hm?”
“Wh-what do you think of S-Sena?”
“Sena?” says Yuuta and takes a brief look at Hiro.
“She just like a- Oh! I get it… Hiro, you like Sena, don’t you? Hiro you naughty naughty!~”
“Oi! Yuuta! Stop teasing me!” and Yuuta starts laughing.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)
