《The Oddity: The One Who Does Not Belong》Chapter 28 Update and "arc" discussion + poll

I haven't posted in a while and it's my bad. I've been a little bit busier but that doesn't mean I didn't have time to write. Writing takes a lot of time and energy, time and energy that I didn't want to use on writing. I spent the past couple of days reading the Grimgar light novel series and I think it revitalized me a bit. Chapter 28's been in progress for a while now, sitting at 2800 words for the past couple of weeks but it's currently at 5304, one of the longest chapters I've ever written.
I left it at a fairly decent spot and could release it now but I'm not so sure yet. I might add more today, I might not add more today. I have some other work to do and I'm switching my attention to that for now. All I want to say is that the chapter will either come out very very late today or late tommorrow.
I'm going to ask it in chapter 28 too but what do you guys think about adding in more of the character's thoughts? I know I have those now, but I was thinking of adding in more of it to make things feel a bit more organic. Well, it'll be hard to judge when there's no examples here so don't feel pressured to give an answer until the chapter comes out. I'll be asking again there anyway.
Another thing, is the "arc" style good or do they need to be longer? Right now they feel like mini arcs to me and aren't like other stories' arcs. Right now, the way I do the arcs make the events feel only somewhat loosely connected. I don't think the arcs themselves are big enough to tell a good story either. I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments. I do plan on a huge arc next, though. I think it could take anywhere from 10 - 20 chapters.
