《The Ordinary Me And Unordinary Her》Chapter 5 - Life

"Pfft, these keyboard people, they really know how to have fun." Yuuji chuckles as he continues scrolling through the comments on his post. When he decided to share his story online, he knew he would receive this sort of response.
Some were clearly there just to mess around like a clown, some didn't believe him thinking he was just another made-up story, and lastly, a small number of them actually gives him good advice for him to consider about. Overall, it was just as he expected.
But some of their words do have a point, he couldn't help but wonder if he could capture the ghost with his smartphone's camera. There are also many other ways to provide evidence of the ghost's existence, one fine example of that is the spirit box—a piece of equipment that could receive a transmission like a radio but with a huge possibility of capturing the voice from the other side.
Furthermore, the general knowledge he had of ghosts comes from the 'real' ghost hunter video he often watched on the internet, so he couldn't simply put his trust in them. Most of them are all paid actors as far as he knows, and often than not, he does find a few that seemed potentially real. Those are the cream of crops, especially Arabic ghost hunters.
Yuuji couldn't understand why some of these 'ghost hunters' immediately run away with their tails between their legs the moment a ghost show before them, they were the ones asking the ghost to appear, yet they ran the moment it happened. He doesn't know whether ghost has a feeling as they used to as a living, but isn't that kind of rude?
They broke into someone's house then proceed to call out the owner, yet when the owner appeared before them, they quickly buckle up. And unlike these 'ghost hunters', Arabic ghost hunters actually did the opposite. They bravely charge toward where they heard the noise without stopping their chanting. They are the real deal, though, some of them might be another fraud like the rest. Either way, he likes them all.

"Exorcist...aren't they just a sham?" Yuuji thought to himself. If a real exorcist that purifies ghost really exist, wouldn't their appearance appear on headline news? He remembered watching a video of a famous exorcist in other countries on the internet, but in reality, it was just another hoax.
'Or maybe it is just like in the fictional story—they preferred keeping a low profile, a hidden dragon so to say.' It isn't all that unlikely, after all, not everyone is interested in becoming a celebrity with their face splattered on every social media. And their life won't be as peaceful as it once was if that happened.
Yuuji closed his laptop before propping his legs on the sofa and resting his head on top of his forearms as he sigh. While staring blankly at the ceiling, his mind wanders aimlessly. He couldn't think of a plausible idea to somehow extract the ghost away from his bedroom without relying on a real exorcist. The chance of finding a real exorcist is almost minuscule, to begin with.
As he ponders deeply on such matters, Yuuji could feel his eyelids growing heavy. He realized both his body and mind are starting to get weary from all the brainstorming and cautiousness. He didn't want to fall asleep yet with the ghost presence in his bedroom, but neither could he stop himself from doing so. Deep inside his heart, he knows the ghost won't do anything judging on the fact that nothing happen up until now. It couldn't help that his wariness has toned down a bit.
A few minutes later, Yuuji finally closed his eyes and fell asleep.

(Ayami POV)
To; Mom.
Brother has been dismissed from the hospital. Everything seems fine, I couldn't find nor see any injuries or wounds on his body even though he was in an accident. It was very strange.

Brother is acting the usual him, but he did mention he was quite concerned about how is he without injuries. He told me the accident was fatal, and he has a low chance of surviving the aftermath. My heart dropped when I heard that.
Is it possible that an evil spirit possessed him?
"Hopefully it isn't anything serious," Ayami mutters as her nimble finger pressed the send button on the screen of her smartphone before she put it back into her pocket. How could someone that had just survived a fatal accident not have any injuries on his body? One might as well say they have a cure for cancer—that's just how absurd it sounds to her.
If anything untoward were to happen to her brother...she will make sure to teach whoever that person is, a lesson they won't forget for the rest of their life.
"What are you looking at?" The green eyes girl right next to her couldn't help but ask upon noticing her friend's peering out of the window. Ayami turned around and smile before saying, "nothing, I was just bored out of my mind."
"Since you're that bored, why don't you help me with my homework? There are tons of questions I have yet to begin with! You're my dear friend, you won't ignore your friend who's in trouble will you?"
"I don't know, am I? Or maybe I'm such a sadistic person that likes to gleefully watch from the side while my friend is in tears~ I wonder which kind of person am I? Hmm, why don't you guess it? I'll reward you if you got it right!" She then playfully smirked like a real sadist waiting for her prey to enter the stage.
"Of course you'd help! A friend helps each other in need, that's what a friend is for! I'd jump in lava if that's what you wanted!" Without any second later, her friend proudly said with a puff of her chest. She hadn't realized that she had walked right into a trap.
"Then why don't you jump in lava as proof of our friendship? Maybe if you do that, I'll accordingly lend you my help, I promise."
"I'd die first! By then, I won't need your help since I can't do homework when I'm already dead! Do you actually hate me?!" Her friend immediately retorted with tears in the corner of her eyes. Seeing her friend's intense reaction, Ayami chuckles for a moment before she stood up and went over to her friend's seat to help with the homework.
