《Evolution (Rewrite)》Chapter 085 Come to the dark side, we have boobs (5)

To protect her friends from my tricks, the red harpy decided not to give me a single minute of rest. She was three times faster than the other harpies, so to protect Stella and me from her crazy attacks, I teleported around like there was no tomorrow. I couldn’t leave Stella to attack the other two harpies. Otherwise, the red harpy would kill Stella. And although she was a monster, she was a monster created by me, and never betrayed me, so I wouldn’t let her die.
I had no choice but to teleport Stella alongside me and duplicate the cost of the teleport and so I did. I teleported to above the other two harpies and made ice arrows rain over them. However, after three seconds, the red harpy was back.
‘Fucking monsters… how can fly five hundred meters in just three seconds?!’
It was crazy, but it was that harpy’s speed. I teleported to run away again, but I was just postponing the inevitable. To teleport far away from such a monster, I had to spend a lot of mana and low-quality potions, and those were practically useless while I was teleporting Stella and me.
‘Tsk, annoying monster.’
Harpy B – HP: 117024/125000 MP: 21050 STA: 119150/125000
At least she was using a lot of energy to keep that speed, but I didn’t have the luxury to wait for that. I had to surprise them and be more effective with my attacks. I made Stella fly upward, and then I made her fell downward at her top speed. When the red harpy was about to attack us again, I teleported us to behind the other two harpies, and Stella hit them. Her weight was enough to make the two harpies unable to react to that impact. In the end, all of us hit the ground, and a massive wave of dust covered our surroundings.
Ignoring the pain, I got up and punched the harpies’ heads and activated the hidden blade. They screamed in pain, and I also heard the sound of their skulls cracking. But before I could attack again, the red harpy appeared. However, I was already waiting for that; I shot a dark arrow toward the ground and gravitational field formed around us. Thanks to that, the red harpy fell on the ground with a thud before it could attack me, and the weight of my mechanic arms was cracking the harpies’ skulls. However, my arms were also being crushed because I had now in each arm, three hundred kilograms of metal.
I felt bad that Stella was also suffering damage because of the gravity, but I had to use every moment in our favor to smash the harpies’ brains. Only when the effect of the dark arrow disappeared, I teleported us back to the air. All the bones of my arms were broken, and I wouldn’t be able to use them for the next few hours. But I succeeded in what I wanted.
Harpy A – HP: 4526/25000 MP: 21340 STA: 20520/25000
Harpy C – HP: 2563/25000 MP: 117450 STA: 19580/25000
The heads of those two harpies were covered in blood; their previous beauty was nowhere to be seen. They looked at me scared, and they were moaning thanks to the throbbing pain in their heads. On the other hand, the red harpy looked furious, I could see a dark aura around her. Thanks to that, I was sure that she wanted to kill me. However, she didn’t attack. The other two harpies began to retreat while the red harpy was keeping her eyes on me to keep them safe.

‘Like you can escape after attacking me first…’
Despite that, I decided to wait until they disappeared. Only after that, I used the memory stone and returned to the city where their dungeon was.
‘I had to ambush them, but my most powerful attacks are too flashy… I have to find a place where they wouldn’t be able to see me or my magic arrows.’
There were many places where I could hide, but my arrows would be noticed; they were big after all, and only the things touching me could become invisible alongside me. I had half an hour before their return, but I didn’t have a good place to ambush them or magic arrows powerful enough to kill all of them.
‘Come on, think… there has to be a way…’
After much thinking, I found the best place to ambush them, the interior of the dungeon. They wouldn’t be able to see me or my arrows, and I could of explode them as soon as they appear, or at least I could try. The red harpy wouldn’t die that easily, and I couldn’t use memory stones inside dungeons. I made Stella fly to the other side of the ruined city, and I entered the dungeon invisible.
On the other side of the dungeon, I saw a strange world; it was even weirder than a world of ice or a world of magma… it was a world huge, and massive blocks of earth were flying. In the distance, I could see the biggest floating island, and in the center of it, I saw a castle as big as Tinemouth’s ice castle. Fortunately, I couldn’t see a single enemy nearby.
‘Oh, boy… how in the hell can exist floating islands… laws of physics are for the weak, I guess.’
That was interesting, but I didn’t have time to think about that, I had to form a plan quickly. I was drinking a lot of potions while I was thinking about how I should attack the harpies; after a few minutes, I had recovered my energy. However, my arms were still healing, but I wasn’t interested in a close fight against that red harpy anyway.
‘Think… I have a lot of skills… what I can do with those skills to kill that red harpy?’
I thought a lot, but since I was a genius, my answer to everything was to make it bigger. The only thing I could really was bigger magic arrows. I had thousands of magic arrows inside my backpack, but those were useless since I could only summon one at a time. I thought that I was walking a path where eventually I could solve big problems like that by myself, but I was wrong. I still had a long way to go… I looked at both of my hands and sighed. But then I noticed it… I could only shot one at a time once the arrows were inside my backpack, but I didn’t have to do that if I create two or more at the same time without shooting. Besides, according to the skill’s information, I could combine more than one element... like wind and fire.
‘I’m so stupid…’
I involuntarily sealed the true potential of that skill; I didn’t have to create only simple arrows. I could combine them… using the knowledge I obtained when I learned the skill, I created a single magic arrow made of wind and fire. In an instant, five times more mana had been consumed to create a twenty centimeters long arrow. But by looking at the speed of flames moving, I was sure that the arrow was also five times stronger. I shot that arrow a few meters behind me, and then I saw an explosion that created a crater; it was one-meter long.

‘The power is good enough, but I need ice arrows, the core of Tinemouth’s planet will duplicate the effectiveness of those arrows.’
I was in the middle of a fifty meters long floating island, and the portal was right in the center of that island. So, I moved to the other side of the island, and when the harpies appear, they wouldn’t see me, and I would have a clear view of their backs.
I sat on the floor to meditate because I would need every bit of mana to destroy them. I started to create the first arrow combining ice and wind, and after ten seconds, the arrow was ready. However, I didn’t stop. I made the arrow bigger, and then I also started creating the second arrow. I felt an intense headache thanks to that; I wasn’t a smart man, and creating two arrows at the same time was very similar to solving two equations at the same time.
To make matters worse, strengthening two arrows at the same time was like trying to solve two infinite equations at the same time. I initially thought that I would be able to create at least five at the same time since I created thousands of magic arrows, but I was dead wrong. Two was my limit.
After five minutes, I had spent all my mana. And now I had those strengthened magic arrows floating above my hands. The first time I concentrated that much to create an arrow, it took me three hours to spend all my mana. And that only showed how amazing those arrows were. In any case, I decided to keep meditating but not strengthen those arrows anymore. I was pretty sure those two arrows would kill the two wounded harpies, but the same couldn’t be said to the red harpy. So, I had to keep some MP to use in the case of an emergency.
Soon after, I had decided that those three harpies appeared, and I shot those arrows toward them. The two arrows hit the back of the red harpy, and then a cold wind spread across the floating island. In a few seconds, the entire island became a floating iceberg. I almost got caught in my own attack and died since I didn’t expect that kind of effect. The red harpy’s wings became ice and shattered; the same happened to her legs. On the other hand, the other two harpies got completely frozen and became statues of ice.

I became speechless with the result of my attack, and I even obtained evolution coins for killing them and the coins they originally possessed. Well, my old friend caught off guard, finally returned. I thought the red harpy was done for, without legs and wings, but she still had her arms, sword, and plenty of mana to kill me. She used all her strength to shot that same energy beam toward me, I tried to teleport, but her attack still cut off my left arm even though I was still wearing my mechanic arms.
“Fucking Bitch!”
The pain almost made me lose my cool, but I endured the pain. I cooled my head because I could always reattach my arm, all that I needed was a good potion. In any case, I became invisible, and then I teleported to fifty meters above the red harpy, but that was just the beginning of my counter-attack. To keep her on the ground and to amplify my next attack, I sent a dark arrow toward, thanks to it; she fell on the floor with her arms open. Soon I also entered the field, and my weight increased. Two seconds later, my other mechanic arm hit her head, and the hidden blade pierced her skull. But the bitch was so resilient that even the blade broke after hitting her brain. I moaned in pain, I lost an arm, and again I sacrificed, even more, my still broken other arm to deliver a critical blow.

The bodies of the other harpies were long gone, so I used the universal absorption on the red harpy to recover some stamina, and I also used her blood to repair part of the mechanic arm. Even though they had the same power level, the red harpy was by the most troublesome. I was still weak against enemies who were good melee fighters… in any case, I drunk a few potions and picked my fallen arm and put my mechanic arms inside my backpack. I was in enemy territory and terribly wounded. I had to get the hell out of there and heal my wounds before other monsters could notice me.
Back to earth, I drunk one of the potions which I got from Ann’s guards. I tried to reattach my arm, but only that potion wasn’t enough. I was still bleeding, so I teleported back to the camp and created the medicine. I felt alleviated, watching my cut off being reattached. The feeling of having an arm cut off was too unnerving, I could endure the pain, but I could never get used to that feeling of weakness.
I laid down in front of the statue; I was too tired to move or think. Fortunately, Stella returned.
“Keep an eye on things for me, all right?”
Stella nodded and began to look around in all directions, and I closed my eyes, relieved. I wondered when I would be able to consider myself as someone strong. Whenever I thought I was improving, I found a new troublesome enemy. I won a battle of 1 vs. 3, but the red harpy alone was already too much for me. I only won because she decided to protect her friends, because I used the memory stone and because I discovered by luck how to make my arrows stronger. I still depended on luck, and I hated that feeling…

Challenged Dungeon and the Arrival of Mana
One day, a few spirits drifting through the astral plane discover Earth and decide to create dungeons to bridge the gap between worlds, and eventually make themselves the gods of Earth. After being created, Three has the misfortune of falling through a grate in an alley in New York City and making that its entrance. Suddenly propelled to sizes much larger than an infant dungeon should be it becomes the frontrunner of all its sibling dungeons, yet faces problems initially attracting creatures. Three's problems only worsen over time as its demanding and seemingly capricious creator gradually strips away its ability to be a true dungeon while compelling it to reach a nearly impossible goal: conquer all humans. Also follow Stan, the alcholic veteran cop and his pet cat Ms. Winters as they get embroiled into the arrival of dungeons and mana. I have most of the story mapped out, but it can still use some work, my goal is to release at least a chapter a week until I am finished. I would greatly appreciate any help proofreading or editing, and advice is always appreciated. UPDATE School caught up with me back then and I lost the thread, so this is now (definitely) dropped, sorry all, maybe I'll get back to it one day.
