《Outlook: The Stars (Consciousness Unbound Book 1)》Update

Hey, decided I should make a final post instead of just disappearing. It has been a while since I last posted a chapter, and one won't be coming for quite a while. There are a lot of excuses I could cite. I just started college for engineering, and it's a lot of stress and work, more than I expected. I've also had more personal responsibilities to manage and tried to put more work into maintaining a social life. But I still have free time to screw around. I could use that time to write, and I don't.
I've been having difficulty getting motivated. When I first started writing I didn't really understand how difficult it would be to finish a story, really see it all the way to its end. I hammered out the first 200 pages of TBoHL and then realized that the story wasn't going anywhere, just towards some dead-end meanless MC kills the final boss sort of ending. A similar thing happened with Consciousness Unbound. I haven't done enough planning, or enough thinking about the story to really make it good. And while vanity makes me wish the story had a higher rating, if I were to rate it myself I'd give it at best 3.5, and honestly, that's being generous. I might not even read it myself. I want to go back, revise, edit, plan and think more, and take my time to write a truly good story.
So I guess that brings me to my next point. I'm going to quit Royal Road for a while. I'm not going to start publishing some half-baked epic with no endpoint in sight, as I've tried and failed twice. Instead, I'm going to plan, write, revise, and really take my time to make a complete story before I publish here. And yes, if you think you're misinterpreting, that means I'm going to write the entire story before I publish it here. I might not be back for years.

If you've stuck with me for this long and are still checking this, thank you. I feel like I owe it to anyone that actually read my works to publish this. I'm sorry for not being able to deliver this story to you on a weekly basis. But while it may not be done any time soon I promised I would write it and someday I will post it on this website.

Virtual reality: Sorp
Sorp is something bordering on what it is to be human. Perhaps he is more human. He has lived in squalor, his only family are the friends he grew up with. This is their journey through the new substitution for reality. In this virtual reality, they are given a purpose they never thought to seek out for themselves. To be more than hooligans. To be more than the bottom of the barrel. They do this in their own way. Unhindered by usual moral discrepancies. Ready to fight, kill and maim on a whim. Warning: This story does contain graphic descriptions of a sexual nature, violent fights, blood shed, gore and at times, crude language. There are also acts that are considered immoral or evil committed by main characters, so this story may not be for the faint of heart.

8 124The Code of Life - Epic Fantasy/Scifi LitRPG Series
Strange new worlds with monsters and beasts, some to tame, some to slain. Some to make friends of as you realize you're a bigger monster than they could ever be... And you have to move and progress. Learn and survive. Only that can unlock the boxes of secrets and provide answers to the ultimate of riddles. Seemingly randomly selected, thirteen people of diverse backgrounds are given access codes to the MOLI. It offers a strange new experience that looks very seductive and engaging, with stunning graphics and alluring species, just utterly mindblowing and addictive. But, it seems nobody knows what MOLI actually is, a whole new level in VR gaming or an inexplicable transference to another universe with different worlds and their own laws and customs. The experience feels so real it’s difficult to be certain. But they have to find the answers fast because people soon start to die. *** This is not intended to be a typical litRPG series, although it uses a lot of its elements to help create the whole setting. Planning to publish a chapter a day, so be warned of the editing mistakes that are certain to sneak through. Hope to keep on fixing them as I go along.
