《Re: Pessimist》Chapter 17: Switch

Ugh, sorry. For some reason my link to you guys just disconnected. So, what happened?
"Sophia...? Where have you been? What's going on?" A voice softly asked.
Flare...?
"Who is Flare? No, more importantly what has happened? My memory seems to be distant." Differing from Flare was a woman with platinum white hair with streaks of azure in it. Her robe was identical to Flare's, the only difference yet again being the colors.
Uh... my memory seems to have been temporarily disconnected, what's your name again?
"I didn't realize, my sincerest apologies. My name is Thalassa. Oh, you must need to know about Alfred as—Alfred!" Thalassa picked up Alfred, who lied on the ground, searching for any serious wounds on him.
Alfred...? Okay... is he alright? Uh... Thalassa?
Thalassa stood with a horrified expression, her eyes trembled as she took in her surroundings. There was black flames consuming the entire city, innocents cried out in fear and agony. The entire city was transforming into ruins. Her clutch on Alfred tightened, her eyes had rested upon him as she stood still.
"Hey look! It's started to rain!" A hoarse voice shouted out. Crystal clear water fell down from the sky, the flames had begun dissipating and the smoke cleared away.
The Water of Life... to summon that water you would have to be a Goddess of Life.
"Alfred, wake up." Thalassa whispered into his ear. Slowly but surely Alfred's eyes begun to move, upon waking he was greeted by the sight of Thalassa smiling down at him.
"Thalassa?" She placed him down, Alfred standing on his own two feet and looking around. The destruction from before was still present. "What happened?"
"Some great evil has descended upon us." Thalassa bent down, picking up a stone resembling charcoal, her touch revealing the stone was a piece of marble.

I'm going to go... reconnect my memory, I'll be back.
"Enough stalling. I suppose it's time to fix things, right Alfred?" Thalassa shifted her gaze towards Alfred.
"Yeah!" Although a simple word, Alfred jumped up with joy when she introduced the idea.
With a stretched smile Thalassa spoke, "[Eletfa]"
A shock-wave erupted from Thalassa, one pure white. The city although still dilapidated looked pristine, every piece of rubble was without a scratch. The surrounding landscape was purged of ash and cinders and once again became a flourishing habitat with forests and lakes.
The dead had also risen.
Sophia has gained administrative access to skill Switch Skill Switch has been activated Changes have been reversed
"FUCKING HELL! HOW THE HELL CAN SOMETHING CAUSE SO MUCH PAIN?" Flare continued to clutch her abdomen. I don't think she's realized that she isn't in pain anymore. "Oh, it's gone."
There we go.
Now that you guys are finally back... there's something you should know.
Is this going to be something completely irrelevant or is this going to explain why everything around us is suddenly very nice and why several dead people are suddenly standing up like nothing has happened to them?
The latter. I believe you should see this skill first.
Skill NameLevelDescriptionClassification
Switch - [Passive/Active]The power created to combat the greatest evil in the world. It is activated upon a great act of evil being committed or by willful activation. Unrankable
No.
Yes.
YOU HAVE TO BE FUCKING KIDDING ME! WHAT THE HELL GAVE US THIS STUPID SKILL TO BEGIN WITH?
Wait, wait... what does the skill do?
Flare, the skill is named switch and is activated upon a great act of evil being committed and is made to combat evil. If you haven't noticed the entire city has been healed and the outlands aren't a burning wasteland. Do not tell me you are so idiotic that you can't figure that out.

So... logically it should mean that... No...
Yes.
DID WE SWITCH BODIES?
How the hell does that counter evil?
Flare your personalities and abilities switched COMPLETELY. You became a mature goddess who is able to see the value of life in others and has the ability to counter your current power, Ewan became an innocent and unknowledgeable child.
Also from looking at the history of all messages; you've had a wishing ritual used upon you. You also became a High Goddess.
Okay, since we're not dead it's clear that the person who used the ritual on us had some sort of emotional-OKAY FUCK THE EXPLANATION IT'S FUCKING SYLVIA!
HOW DARE SHE MAKE ME A GOOD PERSON WHO REVIVED THE ENTIRE CITY! I AM GOING TO KILL HER!
That was quick.
I'm slightly impressed that she lied to us and managed to use the wishing ritual, Flare take some notes from her.
What about the city?
We'll be stuck in an endless cycle of destroying and restoring the city if we do attack it. WHICH IS WHY SYLVIA HAS TO DIE!
I don't think killing her will solve it.
No it won't, but I will feel less pissy.

The Realm Beneath: A Dungeon Story
This is the story of a dungeon, not a reincarnated soul or a human trapped in a soul gem, but a dungeon. Born as a dungeon, it lives as a dungeon, and kills like a dungeon. Guided only by its experiences, vague ideas and knowledge from somewhere else and the mysterious system that greets it upon awakening it strives to build and live and learn. Immerse yourself in the tale as you read about the dungeon and the adventurers that challenge its depths, puzzles, traps and creatures. Read about the realm beneath as a world comes to life within a mountain in the centre of the land. Forests, swamps, deserts, tundra and more can all be found in the cavernous chambers that blossom with life. Author's note. There is an overarching plot that is more than just the dungeon getting bigger. I will be uploading at least one chapter a week until furthur updates on my schedule get posted and hopefully more once I finish off the other book i'm working on. You can expect me to try and craft unique challenges and floors, stuff you most likely haven't seen before in dungeon books whilst still having a hopefully decent plot. I can't promise much about it but I will certainly read all the comments, respond where appropriate and take on board suggestions. I promise to keep you updated and not drop away without saying anything. I would consider this to be part of the writers pledge but if circumstances force my hand I may have to drop it. (no plans) A Note on tags: Profanity: Not excessive but where i find appropriate. Gore: Well that depends how well I do my job doesn't it. If I can paint a vivid picture that has the potential to be gory, then my writing may be to an acceptable quality. Traumatising content: Again, this depends on my skill as a writer, I guess I hope you find it traumatising - no that’s not right. Well you know what I mean anyway. Hopefully I can paint a vivid picture in your mind that makes the book all the more special.
