Mitch - Hold up, you didn't tell me what my job did, nor Daniel’s and Ana’s job! Aren't we gonna be told about ours?
Daniel - i already know about mine.
Ana - me too.
Carol - as far as i knew your God normally tells you almost everything about one's abilities.
Mitch - my god was a bitch, didnt tell me about anything, he didnt even present himself to me.
Carol - Very well then, here!
Imaginist:
Increased random pattern generation +14%
Reduced mental visualization resistance -20%
Skill: imaginary friend.
She handed him a notebook wrapped in a tattered leather cover, almost completely filled with little annotations.
Carol - I guess you wanna know about your skills too, hold on.
She took it back, flipping onto the next page and writing a few more lines with the dipping pen.
Skills:
Flood fighter - you will know when and where a flood will occur.
Pathfinder - choose how to invest your stats.
Imaginary friend - able to create micro personalities and reach conclusions through a different way of thinking.
Carol - There, now you can continue onto the training, i think you'll be of great help.
Mitch - thanks.
They walked back out through the rough stone stairs into an open yard with a tall fence and a bunch of nets nailed to it so that nothing could be thrown out, on the other end of the sandy field there had been placed a bunch of logs in half a meter deep holes (foot and a half).
Nigel - We are gonna start by understanding what your weapons are capable of and the best way to use them. So, bring them out for me to see!
Ana was the first to do so calling her halberd forth.
Nigel - good, an halberd, that's something i can easily work with. So what's its special function?
Ana - it can go through a “block”, anything a person uses to try and stop it, but only once every few minutes.
Mitch looked onto his bracelet, it hadnt mentioned anything regarding a special ability of his own.
Morpho - i have one but you can't use it at the moment cuz you are too weak.
Mitch - hold it, you can read my mind?
Morpho - im part of you now, i know everything about you. Also yes you kinda can use it right now but it's going to be a bitch to use!
Mitch - well that saves me a question, lets do it.
Morpho - i warned you.

Nigel - so, next then, you with the red hair.
Daniel - my name's Daniel.
Nigel - ok Daniel could you *thud*...
The origin of the sound that had stopped the instructor came from the passed out Mitch that had fallen on the gravel and sand face first.
Nigel - Call Carol quick this idiot just overspent his mana!
Daniel ran inside while Nigel grabbed him by the arms and legs onto the building with the girls following behind.
Daniel - Carol, Carol, Carol…
Carol - Mitch passed out he overspent his mana!
Carol ran downstairs almost completely jumping over several flights of them on her way.
Carol - how bad is it?
Nigel - he's completely spent.
Carol shoved her hands under his shirt right over his heart and started feeling around for beatings.
Carol - *phew*, he's ok just needs some mana.
She took his arm and slowly sent flows of mana through his veins and nerves but no matter how much she seemed to try he didn't seem to react, what hadn't noticed was that there was indeed a reaction however it was not so visible.
The bracelet by his side had grown a slight lump by both sides of the “eye” as they stopped growing mitch seemed to show some signs of improvement.
Mitch - ow!
Carol - the fuck were you doing to spend all your mana this badly.
Mitch - i don't remember.
Nigel - whatever just don't do it again, you could have died.
Carol - actually he couldn't but that's besides the point here, don't you ever pull one of those again.
The glare of hate coming from both sides was quite disturbing to the still dazed Mitch.
Mitch - Hold on, could i have died or no?
Nigel- yes/ Carol - well, no!
Nigel - if you overspend your mana your heart will stop beating and you'll die!
Carol - that's what happens in most cases but the heroes are a bit different their bodies are not the same as ours, they won't actually stop due to mana loss but they will still suffer the overspending crash on their bodies, and if you pass out in the middle of battle it will be really bad!
Mitch - sorry, i promise it won't happen again.
The group went back to the trabalhar ning field, while they all kept an eye on Mitch since he seemed to keep getting hurt or causing trouble.
Nigel - hey Mitch was it, call your weapon again but this time don't screw things up by trying to use your special ability.

Mitch - ok
Morpho - you can use it already it won't happen again.
Mitch - (breathes in) Alright let's do this then!
Mitch pulled his arm up just as it was turning into a glove, making him feel the extra weight now on it.
Nigel - and that is?
Mitch - a mechanical arm! Serves as armor and weapon also it can do THIS!
The group stared at him as his extended arm did nothing for a little while.
Mitch - now, you were supposed to do it now!
Morpho - i'm working on it, ...aaaand done.
An ethereal figure rose a bit away from mitch as it slowly materialised itself into a metal figure with six tiny holes in the place of its eyes and a body covered in segmented plates, its exterior glinting with the afternoon sun.
Nigel - what the hell is that?
Mitch - its a …
Morpho - combat robot.
Mitch - combat robot.
Nigel - well what can it do?
Morpho - touch it and i'll do the rest!
Mitch - Ill show you.
Mitch brought his arm to the robots torso and felt something move inside the glove as a light glimmer appeared from behind its mask.
Mitch/Morpho - and now it will do whatever i need it to make, running, carrying things, fighting…
Nigel - How strong is it? Because that's what matters the most here, if it can't handle its own, it won't do much good.
Morpho sniggered at the instructor inside mitch's mind as he sent the robot running to grab a log, it bent down and with a swift move pulled the 2,5 meters long log (8 feet) over its shoulder before raising it over its head with both arms and stopping in place.
Morpho - it ran out of mana be smooth and get near it to refuel without them noticing.
Mitch walked towards the robot still hoisting the log in place.
Mitch - What do you think of this guy! Bet you haven't seen much better than this! *Pat* *pat*
Nigel - Its good for a starting ability, does it scale with your strength?
Morpho - no, but it can spend more power to compensate, but only as much as the parts can hold.
Mitch - hhha… kinda?
Nigel - Anyway, next Daniel was it? Your turn, show me what you have.
Daniel - lets go.
A puff of energy and the metal crossbow had been formed.
Nigel - long range not perfect with only brute force but i already heard her say you have a good magical affinity if you can combine it with the bolt you'll have great weapon; And whats the ability?
Daniel - it can store projectiles in a subspace and as a loading mechanism that works with mana to reload.
Nigel - thats a great weapon, you'll have a great future as a hero! and finally, what is your name?
Inês - Inês Woodhead and unlike the rest im from a noble house.
Nigel - i don't care about that. Just call your weapon forth.
Inês - excuse me, but i believe i deserve some more respect than these scum.
Daniel -*cough*bitch*cough*!
Ana - same!
Mitch - ditto!
Daniel/Ana - hummm?
Mitch - nevermind.
She called the final weapon yet to show, the two daggers and chain.
Inês - i can imprison anything i stab by sticking the other dagger somewhere else causing chains to wrap around what i stabbed.
Nigel - good, but wont you be disarmed meanwhile?
Inês - i can summon a third one meanwhile.
She dropped both daggers to the ground pulling another one out of thin air as to demonstrate her statement.
Nigel - you all have different weapons and as such you will need different training for your weapons, and you will only be able to get such training through fighting on your own. Each of you will go train and become stronger with a select group but first you’ ll need gear.
Carol walked into the training field holding four tanned leather boxes while Nigel uncovered a set of wooden ones by the back of the field.
Carol - inside each box is a set of gear, basic tools and other necessities that you will be given by the kingdom to help you fend for yourselves and in the ones im carrying is a set of tomes and basic relics to further that even more.
The boxes were opened revealing a set of armor and some tools for process of venturing down a dungeon, however they couldn't give them a good look as they were closed back as soon as she placed the other package inside them.
Nigel - these will be taken with you to the place where you will be dispatched to.
That concluded their presentations and they were taken back inside to prepare for the upcoming encounter with possibly one of the hardest foe to face from the start of their adventure: Nobles!
