Mitch went back and visited the old mans shop to check a few things.

Old man - you again? What?

Mitch - i wanted to see your products thats all.

He walked around the shop while the owner stared him down, the shop had shelves pilling with a variety of products from canes to what appeared to be small engines and glass counters filled with jewelry and a variety of small but expensive pieces.

Old man - are you looking for something specific or just trying to piss me off!

He had already thought of what he wanted from this store long ago but he wanted to piss him off a little.

Mitch - yes i am.

A silence filled the shop as he looked around, leaving only the tapping of the mans finger on the counter as its only noise

Mitch - i need your most powerful magic conductors and something that can store a lot of mana too!

Old man - A shitty adventurer like you can't buy my best products, just get o...

Mitch had dropped his “wallet” on the table and placed the gold coin on top.

Old man - fine then, i guess you’ve got enough money!

The counter was soon covered in all kinds of materials, from canes, to rings and some amulets.

Old man - So, what is it, you want?

Mitch - i kinda wanted something different, i want you to tell me what they are made of and how good they are.

The old man's eyebrows twitched, he had no idea what this kids goal was, he seemed really interested in them but he only wanted to know how good they performed, he didn't care about function.

Old man - sure, this ring is made a copper mana rich formation so it has a good conducting effect and the jewel in it can store around 8 mana allowing for a quick cast!

The old man's questions didnt stop inside his head as he saw mitch grab the ring give it a look over and set it down again with a smile like he had just stolen it.

Mitch - And what is your absolute best mana conductor and “battery”!

The old man shuffled through the shop keeping his eyes on mitch as he grabbed a small crystal and a metal plate.

Old man - here, a level 73 mana core and a gold/cardill conductor i can cut into whatever i want.

Mitch grabbed the mana core and raised into the air, its blue and green glint shone on his face and over his black hair.

Mitch - how much?

Old man - mana capacity ir cost?

Mitch- both!

Old man - it can hold a little less than 400 mana and costs 3650.

Mitch - What about the wiring/plate

Old man - gold is a great conductor, absorbs almost no mana and cardill causes mana to be dispersed, which would normally be bad but when it's mixed with a good conductor causes all the mana to have a smoother flow to it, its 1800 for a plate like this plus the cost of manufacturing what you need.

Mitch held the plate in his hands and examined it, it was green, light green and almost didn't shine, as he placed it down he heard a light crunch.

Old man - hey careful there, it's a great conductor but cardill is easily shattered and gold is extremely malleable so it dents easily, you need a good protection around it!

Mitch had already gotten what he wanted, so he gave an excuse not to buy them.

Mitch - i would need something with a greater capacity than that, it's not good enough, but thanks anyway.

He left the shop with a smile on his face, he had gotten himself some great materials for his robots now, he just needed to get himself more manpower of his own to fill them up.

He passed by the clothings shop and picked up his armor from that kind tailor and ordered some regular clothes as well he paid 100 coins as deposit.

Mitch - man, i'm really hungry, do you know any good place to go eat that doesn't cost much.

The tailor looked up at him and said:

-Well, there is a small tavernish places that sells decent food and its not that expensive, i go there with my wife sometimes.

Mitch - you have a wife?!

Tailor - the hell are you trying to say with that kid?

Mitch left the tailor's shop while he mumbled about respecting his elders and what not.

The plate of food they had served him was something that looked like potatoes but had an acidic taste to it, a stake from nothing else than carnivorous basilisk and a chunky soup that smelled like carrots and tomatoes but had none of which, he ended up paying just 8 royals for it all.

Has he left he thought something to himself: he hadn't seen any “mages” so far which seemed odd considering that those 3 had spells so magic was a definitive thing in this world.

As he finished those thoughts his phone rang and he ran to the nearest alley he could find.

Mitch - What?

God - i was checking your progress and you haven't done much yet(chomp) which is making me bored(chomp) so i decided to intervene.

Mitch - wait you’re eating? Aren't you a robot?

God - i'm a god, and second are those really the first things that came to mind when i spoke of a literal divine intervention!

Mitch - well, yeah i guess.

God - Anyyy way, you had a good thinking there. Why isn't there more mages around? Ill tell you why, they can't define where to spend their points unlike you, cuz believe me everyone wants to be a mage, strength is limited to your body but mana, oh boy, mana’s limit is the sky! Well, technically you can go beyond that but that's not the point.

Mitch - Soooooo?

God - spend it all on wisdom and intelligence, btw intelligence doesn't make you smarter, just increases the speed at which you think and wisdom is easier to keep things memorised.

Mitch - wait, you can read my thoughts?

God - bye!

He hung up.

Mitch ran to the guild and went onto his room, after pondering for a moment he decided to spend ⅓ in wisdom and the rest in intelligence

Level 3 (67%)

Unspent points:0

Mana: 140/140 plus 23 per minute

Strength:5

Inteligence:23

Endurance:6

Wisdom:14

Agility:6

Dexterity:4

He checked his phone and looked at the achievements, he had yet to collect the reward for opening his menu for the first time.

It was another book with a skill, “robot modifications” that even a baby could understand, was written in pencil on its cover, he read it too.

Robot modifications:

Allows a person to change and customize a basic unit or even change the definition all together using some mana.

He felt he could understand how it worked a little better now, he didn't understand what how each part worked but he knew they were there, he knew it had small engines that consumed mana to work and that the material used in them was the same as the conductors even though that wasn't optimal, and that the material used as shields and supports could be different things, and that he could change the size of things or make more of them, and, and,...

He had kept thinking of different things and combinations for a good 20 minutes before he realized time was still moving and he needed to go places.

Mitch - crap i'm too excited i need to vent it off.

He went downstairs and asked for his card that had been done already and got himself a permit for his robots, it was an unconventional one as it had to be made just for him as it didn't fit a weapons permit nor a animal/pet license that some had for their mules or their horses but he finally got it after paying the normal price of a weapons permit of 50 royals.

Speaking of money, due to his constant earnings and spendings he had no idea exactly how much money he had on him so he headed upstairs yet again and counted it all, he had 2602 royals, even with all of his spendings it didn't make a dent as the money he had received from completing his tasks kept piling up, too bad there weren't more of them.

He had finally calmed down so he decided to relax a little and look through the clock store’s “suggestions”, there where a lot of things that caught his attention there, an oven, a mana powered generator that made electricity, and an actual clock, more exactly a pocket watch with an engraving of a face plate or a metal skull over a cog, maybe later since it didn't seem to need that many materials to make, but then he found it, a large bike with offroad suspensions, it was black and rust orange with a red seat making it look like it had been dug out from a scrap yard.

Mitch - i NEED this bike.

It had an insane amount of materials needed but it was mostly iron and aluminum which he could get some ingots from the local blacksmith, then there was the leather needed, ¿A bottle of oil? and finally 1 liter of rock-tree sap and 4 liters of tanglers resin.

Mitch - I just got myself something to do.
