Hello guys.
Sorry for not posting in the last few days. As i said in a past chapter, i have a lot of things going on right now: I'm moving from my apartment to a new one, a close family member is terminally ill and another one is in need of surgery, and i have a hellish schedule at work during these weeks.
I'm not cancelling the series or anything, i just need to have time to write with some peace and calm because the story is actually thought through from start to finish, even small details (i always try to incorporate the stuff you guys recommend though). I could write right now, but the final product is going to be way worse than what you've already read until now, so i prefer to wait a bit and deliver a better story.
So, thanks for reading until now, and sorry for making you wait on this. I promise when i start writing again i'll post a lot of chapters in one go so that you can read for a while.

To me, this story is a vehicle for exploring these topics, and also, I wanted to write a story where the protagonist was unafraid of themselves and where their self is more like a git-repo than a meat computer. Disclaimer: This story primarily takes place in what we’d describe as a “cyberpunk dystopia” with some extra technocracy, autocracy, and religious fervor thrown into the mix, so there will be some “grittiness” in this story. Caveat emptor. Also, [insert your favorite boilerplate “views expressed” disclaimer here]. I shouldn’t need to say this, but the main character and other characters in my story can be wrong on occasion (gasp!) and the way they view the world isn’t always objective truth (if such a thing even exists) nor do their views and opinions necessarily reflect the views of me, the author. Now, after scientists have finally confirmed the console to be safe for humans, the game is to finally be released to the public. This comes to the joy of most of the population, but a small portion of them can't help but be upset. As thousands of the researchers meant to be developing virtual reality, are fired overnight. Meet Brian Reed, one of these newly unemployed workers. Now, join Brian as he explores the very game that was the death of his job. And watch as he learns that the game is not quite what it seems.
