Well, whatever. You said two skills right? What are they?
[Displaying]
A screen deploys in my sight.
Telekinesis
Tags: Telekinesis, Psychic, Control.
Grade: IV
Rating: 88/100
Description: Telekinesis allows the user to move mass with their minds. The degree of control is directly related to the mind power of the user, and it will affect the efficiency, precision, strength and reach of the skill.
Mind radiance
Tags: Psychic, Defense, Counterattack
Grade: VII
Rating: 99/100
Description: A psychic defense for attacks that target the user’s mind. Generates a blinding effect on any attacker that is connected to the user’s mind and will forcefully sever the connection, often generating a great amount of mental damage to the attacker. Consumes a great amount of energy so caution is suggested.
Two psychic skills huh? I think I'm getting somewhat specialized in this category.
[Mind radiance is not a skill listed within the 187 registered in my software to enhance learning]
Eh? Oh right, you once told me that all those skills were available for me since you knew them or something.
[Registered skills will allow the user to activate skills without specialized training, Mind radiance is a limited skill, there are few users registered in the network]
So it might be weird for me to know that skill. Although, i don’t know if i can use it again… after all it was the old man who used it, speaking of which, who was that?
[Unable to answer]
Of course you are. The name Von Brugge rings a bell but I don't seem to recall from where, and Flauros called him ‘Parasite’. It bothers me greatly the amount of stuff i don’t know, sometimes it feels like swimming in an ocean while completely in the dark. And there’s also the stuff of my missing memories that only came back while in the white room inside my mind, and when I try to recall them now, it’s like there’s a gaping hole where the memories should have been.

And then the emotional suppressors as well. Fuck me. I guess I know why I'm able to cool off so quickly, before it usually took some broken bones before I calmed down when I was this angry. It might be a helpful thing, but… i’m not sure what other emotions this thing is suppressing… Can I even call myself human at this point?
Fuck, i’m getting in a dark place.
So, Hallie, can you help me reproduce it?
[The use of the skill has been registered and my software allows me to map all physical and mental changes of the user while using an unknown skill to help them on future occasions, it’s easier with skills within my installed software but any known skill can be installed as a self-update]
I have no idea what that means.
[...Yes, i’ll be able to help you, but the success is going to be determined by user’s own ability]
I don't say anything, but I concentrate hard on the memory of a previous conversation with Hallie.
[... by your own ability]
That’s better!
Alright, i’ll have to practice it sometime later, although it’s gonna be hard considering there’s one attacking my mind right now, and there’s no other technomancer in my crew. Telekinesis though…
After a couple of hours, Lai rings the bell and opens the door to my room, only to find me juggling my bed, my rifle and myself in the air. She just stares at me with a blank look. I chuckle and land with caution, setting the bed straight and my rifle gently above it.
“Pretty cool huh?” I ask.
She looks at me and clears her throat.
“Commander, one of the rescued captives wants to talk to you”
“Which one?”
“One of the Alari, the older one”

One of the blue guys from before. They didn’t seem to be able to speak our language but they understood my meaning quickly inside the holding bay, so my impression of them was that of a quick-witted duo.
“Do we know who they are?”
“Apparently, they are a father-son duo, they were refugees of the Alari Union internal conflict and were trying to reach the Stellar Union for a better life, and were captured when entering the system. They were captives for several earthen months”
“I guess even advanced alien civilizations have the same mundane problems as us… I don't know if it’s reassuring or depressing… by the way how did you communicate with them?”
“The boy speaks the common tongue, the father is mute”
That… explains things.
“Also, apparently the boy is a technomancer, so we’ve been taking precautionary measures just to be sure, i assigned a team of armed soldiers to follow them until we can be sure of their intentions”
“Good job Lai… “ I smirk. I think I might have found someone to practice with after all.

Berries, Boars, and a Boy (A How to Train Your Dragon Fanfiction) (Snotlout/OC)
"In a lot of ways, Snotlout is very much Spitelout's son," said Freda. Torben did not need to see her face to hear in her voice that she wanted to say more. "One can hardly help but notice," he said when she didn't immediately continue. "But," she added hesitantly. "In more subtle and quiet ways he is much more my son." Torben turned his face toward the sun, the heat of it warming his skin though his world remained dark. "Even without my sight I could see that. Why else do you think I would encourage and allow his frequent visits here." --- He was brash, cocky, and way too self-confident for it to be real but he had gotten her out of the tree. She was older than him, taller than him, and had an annoying habit of seeing through his bluffs but she had stitched him up. What happens when Sigyn and Snotlout strike up an unusual friendship? And what happens when Snotlout goes away to The Edge with the other Dragon Riders and she stays behind? Will their friendship remain intact, fade away, or possibly change into something neither was expecting? Just see if I don't make a Snotlout fan of you by the end. Story told from both Sigyn and Snotlout's POV.
