《Math God Plane - On Hiatus》Chapter 32: No Character Left Behind

“A Planar War is fought by the elites of each Continent! It only ends when all the Spirits on one side get killed, or leave the battlefield!” A boy with too many muscles for his young age was speaking to an enraptured audience of 1000 disciples.
“Minister Fengshui reports that the Trash plane has 320 Severed Spirits! Our Weakest Plane has 8 mathematical lifeforms, 1 for each of the 8 great Sectors, except the Watersnake Clan, and 1 for our Infinity Sector, the number 1 Sector of this plane!”
Cheers resounded throughout the outdoor auditorium they were in. Shuxue, Fengshui, and Zhujiao stood off to the side.
“Xiaobai is correct.” Fengshui said, halting her pi visualization technique to explain to Shuxue. “Apart from spreading into unsaturated space, our Infinity Sector has conquered Oceans 29, 19, 18, 22. Continent 29, the only other continent on this landmass, has also been annexed. Shibing is currently fighting in Continent 28, which lies in the landmass across from the Oceans we’ve taken.”
Shuxue nodded thoughtfully. Continents were called continents, and Oceans were called oceans, but they frequently bordered one another! It could be said that continents were just smaller regions of a larger landmass containing both saturated and unsaturated space.
Continents 30 and 29 lay in the northwestern landmass, whose exact shape still had not been determined. Bordering them was the Weakest Ocean, which contained over half of the Weakest Plane’s oceans. Inside the Weakest Ocean was the Weakest Island, which contained Continents 28, 24, 23, 25, and 22. Shibing had crossed into the Great Island and was now spreading the light of Zhujiao there.
“Wait a moment, did you just say Xiaobai? Is that boy Xiaobai, Dong Feiliao’s son?” Shuxue squinted at the speaker. “Why does he have so much muscle?”
“Xiaobai is the star of our corp!” Fengshui said, showing a small amount of excitement. “He really got his act together after Feiliao was executed for molesting young children.”
“Xiaobai’s my best friend!” Zhujiao shouted excitedly. “He teaches me the math!”
“Don’t be ridiculous.” Shuxue snorted. “It’s impossible to teach math, we’ve already been over this.”
“True, I’m supposed to figure it out on my own, but he tries to show me the way!” Zhujiao shrugged. “It’s super hard, I still don’t get why you use letters in math. It doesn’t make any sense!”

“Xiaobai is a genius. He actually comprehended the Limit on his own, without help from jade slips, and broke through into the Calculus stage! Everyone loves Xiaobai!” A nearby disciple said excitedly to them, before realizing who she was talking to.
“Forgive me!” She shrieked and began kowtowing the ground. “I didn’t mean to speak out of hand!”
Shuxue was so astounded that he didn’t tell her to stop kowtowing. Even he had not broken through the Limit yet! How the hell had this little shit surpassed him in the realm of Calculus?
Xiaobai cleared his throat. “We are clearly outnumbered and outmatched by the Trash Plane. Many of our adversaries will even have domains. But I believe that we can overcome this foe!”
The audience roared with excitement.
“Praise Xiaobai!” A girl gushed, her eyes shining with ardor.
“Xiaobai is our hero!” A buff old man stripped off his shirt, throwing it high into the air.
“Xiaobai! Xiaobai!” The kowtowing girl cheered as she kowtowed, blood flowing down her face.
Fengshui spoke again. “After breaking through into the Calculus realm, Xiaobai was able to procure Limit jade slips for many Sector members. This entire corp of Calculus stage experts is due to Xiaobai. He’s completely different from that useless Feiliao.”
Zhujiao looked at the watch that did not exist on his hand. “Oh my god! I have to go meet with Meinu!”
Fengshui was startled. “What! Why? You have a training session with Xiaobai in an hour!”
“I know!” Zhujiao yelled. “But I have to spend more time with Meinu, because Meinu said I have to spend more time with Meinu!”
Shuxue’s eyes were bugging. “Y-y-you… you would actually… Listen up, Zhujiao! There is one difference between women and math. The difference is that you want to spend time doing mathematical problems, but you don’t want to spend time doing women!”
“Nuh-uh!” Zhujiao shouted. “Women are better than math problems! I want to kiss Meinu, but she says it’s too soon! It’s never too soon! Also, she says I can’t have a harem. It’s completely unfair! How come I can’t kiss Meinu, and I can’t kiss other harem mem- girls, either? Does she want me to die from pain?”
“What!” Shuxue gripped Zhujiao’s shoulders. “You had better ditch this lady quickly. Everybody knows it’s better to diversify everything! Stocks, bonds, jade slips, mathematical techniques, and romantic partners! Otherwise, wouldn’t your life be completely ruined if your romantic partner died and you didn’t have another one to fall back on?”

“Oh my god!” Zhujiao gripped his head in his hands. “You’re right! I need to have a harem for my mental health! I’m going to tell Meinu that!” He ran off to find Meinu.
“The early and middle Calculus stage are about the laws of the derivative. It is mainly used to derive the attacks of the enemies, greatly reducing their power.” Xiaobai continued to lecture. “It is said that the late Calculus stage has extreme attacking power, but I don’t know for myself yet. For now, the best attacks remain to be Conical and Quadratics attacks of the Algebra stage. Practice them to your utmost!”
They continued cheer with such exuberance and fervor that Shuxue suspected they would cheer even if Xiaobai had narrated his bathroom adventures to them.
“Haha, Xiaobai!” Shuxue chortled as Xiaobai walked over to them. “Who would’ve thought that an irrelevant person like you would actually become the leader of my Infinity Corp? Just 2 years ago, you were begging me to enact justice on Zhujiao!”
Xiaobai sighed, his dark eyes carrying pain far surpassing that of a typical 11-year-old.
“I was a stupid fool back then.” Xiaobai said bitterly, staring blankly off into space. “I picked stupid fights, played stupid games, and won stupid prizes! Not being able to rely on my father has opened my eyes to the truth, that I was a sniveling little coward without the strength to back up my actions.”
“Uh… okay.” Shuxue smiled cheerily. “For you to have undergone such a radical change in under 2 years, you must have been beaten up by a lot of people. I mean, just look at your expanded vocabulary!”
“Yes.” Xiaobai’s eyes were hollow. “Luoli brought 30 boys over to beat me. Then Xiaomei and Huiqi raped me. I was called ‘douchebag’ and ‘little bitch,’ words I had never heard of before. All these things inspired me to change and become strong!”
BOOM!
“YA BOI, THE SPHINX, IS BACK!” A voice that could shake the heavens emerged from the dirt cloud.
Shuxue frowned, turning to Fengshui. “Has the Sphinx been away?” He demanded, his eyes narrowing.
“Yes.” Fengshui nodded. “It has been determined that his drugs do not actually give profound insights, so we had him create an Infinity drug empire in the Continents under our control. The Sphinx is constantly siphoning pearls from the decadent peoples of Continent 1 and engaging in clandestine activities that try to undermine the various patriarchies in our plane.”
“Well, that’s all very well and good.” Shuxue waved his hands. “But doesn’t he have to be Severed to move around like that?”
“Of course, I was Severed 8 months ago, you twit!” The Sphinx thumped Shuxue on the back. “It was a horrible and excruciating surgery, but everything worked out. Heh, I was in Ocean 1 riling up the poor, oppressed chaotic astral sharks that toil under the rule of the Leviathan, but I had to return to charge up some mathforce from my Spiritseed.”
“Right. Right.” Shuxue nodded slowly, his face slowly growing redder. “Why the fuck did you get severed, Sphinx? Don’t you know that all Severed Spirits must participate in the Planar War? Article 2, Section 4 of the Laws of Mathematics clearly state that Severed Spirits must enter the Planar War! It’s a Mathematical impossibility for you to not go into the Planar War’s continent! You’ve just killed yourself, Sphinx!”
The Sphinx snorted. “No, I haven’t! We’re just going to kill them all, easy peasy.”
“Good. Very good!” Shuxue snarled. “When I created the No Important Person Left Behind program, I never would have thought it would’ve been abused like this! Just because I vowed to have our Infinity Sector not abandon anyone important enough to not be abandoned, doesn’t mean you can take advantage of me like this! You guys are really pushing it!”
Shuxue was very angry, but fell silent after his tirade.
“What about our 2 Nascent Spirits in the Infinity Spiral and the Tower of Zhujiao?” Shuxue demanded, pointing towards the Infinity Spiral and the metal pillar. “I, Shuxue, don’t do half-measures! We are going to all-in on this Planar War, because you brain-dead idiots decided to Sever the Sphinx! Have Zhujiao supercharge these 2 Nascent Spirits with mathforce immediately!”

Summoned
“Per aspera ad astra." Death. Mercilessly, it comes for all. But when a young man is given a second chance – a second life – to experience what he never has, what will he do? Leave the burdens of his past behind, improving upon his faults? Or will he collapse back into old sins, wasting the opportunity given to him? Perhaps even he himself does not know. * Join Andre on his journey as he explores a new world – one ripped straight from the pages of a D&D campaign he's never played. He will face monsters. He will face men. And above all, he will face himself. The story’s genre is your standard progression fantasy, isekai: magic, a system, and a level of technology suspiciously underdeveloped. I’ve borrowed tropes from various books I’ve read like “The Second Coming of Gluttony”. The similarities are there (particularly in the beginning), but I assure you the story is my own. It’s in the first-person perspective and has its own quirks, characters, and world for you to become immersed in. The upload schedule for this will be different from the usual fictions on this site: I’ll release chapters in batches rather than so many a week. I’m a college student, so I don’t want another deadline to worry about. Depending on the popularity/demand of the series, I might increase or decrease the rate of releases. Other than that, I hope you enjoy the story! P.S. This is my first fiction so make sure to point out mistakes wherever you see them. I’m doing this, partly, to increase my skill as a writer. However, be kind! I’m fragile, you know? Warning: ***This is far from your happy-go-lucky, feel-good adventure story. There will be content that some of you might not be comfortable with. And if you're already feeling skeptical reading this, click away and don't come back. If you're still here, what are you waiting for?***
