《Math God Plane - On Hiatus》Chapter 18: It Sounds Like Something From a Poorly Written Fiction

Elder Yin ground his teeth. No matter how he looked at it, he was outclassed in all respects by these two unfathomable kids. He, a mighty early Calculus stage expert, was five times stronger than anyone in the Algebra stage! Yet it was not this Algebra level punk that made him tremble in fright; it was the Arithmetic stage child who looked to be around five or six years old.
Killing this boy should’ve been as easy as squashing an ant, yet he had seen the illusory mountain Zhujiao had thrown at him with his own eyes. If he did not have that derivative artifact, the tomb itself would not have survived the impact, much less him!
“All right,” he said, gritting his teeth. “What do you want us to do? Kidnap some little girls? Ten thousand hours of community service? Please, let it be the former. I hate community service.”
“Oh, your disciples will be doing community service. As for you, you can sit right there.” Shuxue pointed at the ground smugly. “By the way, Zhujiao will be reclaiming his Calculus pearls from you, thief.”
Elder Yin looked at the Calculus pearls scattered across the floor, but they had already disappeared. “Yeah, whatever.” He muttered. Calculus pearls were valuable, but this was by no means a huge loss. His life was worth much more than forty Calculus pearls!
“Hey, big bro!” Zhujiao was next to the puddle formed by a deceased Ji Clan member, his face horrified. “You killed a pretty harem member! Who told you you could do that? You’re a villain!”
Shuxue shifted his gaze over to the puddle of blood and viscera. Indeed, it was one of the females he had slayed.
“Don’t be ridiculous, Zhujiao.” Shuxue sniffed. “I just broke all 3 of his legs, because he gave me even less face than the others.”
“Oh, all right then.” Zhujiao amiably nodded. “Pretty boys should all die.”
Shuxue blanched a little upon hearing this. If Shuxue didn’t slap everyone he came across, he would be regarded as the number 1 male beauty in the entire plane! Zhujiao’s Plot Armor was the cornerstone of Shuxue’s plans, but it was capricious and bloodthirsty. Who knew at what time it could manipulate Zhujiao into turning on him?
“All right, you Argent Heaven trash!” Shuxue shouted. “Keep plugging in numbers to those equations. I shall be looking at the solutions in the meantime.” Pulling out the 2 papers he had looted, Shuxue began theorizing on how these foreign monsters should be solved.
Time flowed like water, and many incense sticks could have been burned 1 at a time if someone was inclined to do so.

In the meantime, Elder Yin began to chat with Zhujiao.
“So, master expert, what’s -”
“I’m Zhujiao!”
Elder Yin blinked, astonished by his complete inability to fathom these 2 boys. He hadn’t even finished asking his question, yet the boy had already predicted his question and answered it!
His brow sweating, he ventured forth with another question. “Then what’s the name of your brother there?”
Shuxue snapped out of his meditation to look at Zhujiao. “What the fuck are you doing, Zhujiao! They’re not supposed to know our names!”
“But I’m Zhujiao, Grand Ancestor of the Infinity Sector in the Weakest Continent!”
A vein began to throb in Shuxue’s eyelid. Meanwhile, Elder Yin smiled amiably.
“No need to worry, good friend. I was just curious as to what kind of expert subdued me, Elder Yin, a mighty elder of the Argent Heaven Sector!” These were the words he said, but inside his mind, he was laughing to himself. The moment this kid let him go, he would go back to the Argent Heaven Sector and bring thirty middle Calculus stage experts to go raze this Infinity Sector to the ground!
Shuxue looked at Elder Yin, highly displeased but not too angry. “You actually think you can fool me, the most intelligent and exalted future ruler of the entire Tesseract with your silly little scheme? I know you want to return to your Sector to gather thirty middle Calculus stage experts to go raze my Infinity Sector to the ground!”
Elder Yin’s face paled, and he hurriedly put up his hands. “No, no, no, I would never do something like that! You spared my life, how could I possibly repay this favor with such an underhanded, lowly move? It would be an action unworthy of someone of my standing.”
Shuxue sneered. “Uh-huh. Well, now that you know this, I might as well come clean. I am Shuxue, Patriarch of the Infinity Sector of the Weakest Continent, and you are Elder Yin, someone who will never speak of the things that occurred in this place!”
“Of course I won’t.” Elder Yin nodded vigorously.
At this time, Shuxue had walked right next to him. “I don’t think you understand,” Shuxue had an evil smirk on his place as he spoke quietly. “You won’t tell anyone because you won’t want to. You see, nobody is going to believe a word you say. Because this is what you will say.
Two kids, one an Arithmetic stage imbecile and the other an Algebra stage genius are the leaders of a branch of the Infinity Sector, which doesn’t even exist in this plane.
Not only that, of all continents in this plane, that branch is situated in the Weakest Continent.

Not only that, you met those two in Continent 10, 20 continents away from the Weakest Continent.
Not only that, they killed all the disciples of both the Ji Clan and Argent Heaven, as well as the Ji Clan elder. Then, they solved the tomb that couldn’t be solved for 50 years and then stored the entire tomb into the Arithmetic stage kid’s forehead and teleported away!
Tell me, will anyone believe a word of that? It sounds like something from a poorly written fiction!”
Elder Yin’s face grew progressively more pale. “Wait a moment, some of those things didn’t even happen... ”
Shuxue’s smile grew wider, and Elder Yin’s face grew so pale it became translucent.
“You see, Elder Yin, even if they did believe you, you would lose all face! Getting beaten by two kids from the Weakest Continent? What a joke! Here’s the story you’re going to tell when you get back to your Sector: the Ji Clan elder didn’t give you face, so you killed him. Nobody would ever question that story. People die all the time because they didn’t give face!”
Elder Yin’s eyes narrowed. “He and I have been friends for 2 decades. Nobody’s going to believe that.”
Shuxue shrugged and began looking at the papers again. “You could tell the truth and lose all face, I suppose.”
Sweat beaded down Elder Yin’s forehead. No matter what he said, it was likely… that the Ji Clan would be furious! There would undoubtedly be war between the two Sectors!
Several hours passed in the blink of an eye. Shuxue continuously pored over the various problems and their answers. Finally, he stood up triumphantly.
“Haha, I’ve got it!” Shuxue smiled, burning the papers to a crisp. “Hey, where’s Daoli?”
Zhujiao shrugged. “I teleported her back home. She was very mad.”
“Ah, good for her!” Shuxue said cheerily. “I’m so glad to be rid of that woman, she was always getting in the way.”
With that, Shuxue began mass murdering the monsters. Even the five-variable dot product monsters were easily subjugated by Shuxue! He was like a crazed death god, continuously killing monsters while generating pearls and worldly filth.
However, he was stuck for an entire day on the huge box monsters, which he could not figure out how to solve. When one of them finally fell to Shuxue, it dropped one pearl.
“Wow, these pearls from that big box monster are worth 10,000 Arithmetic pearls each! 1 Algebra pearl is 100 Arithmetic pearls and 1 Geometry pearl is worth 31 Arithmetic pearls and 1 Trigonometry Pearl is worth 3020 Arithmetic pearls and 1 Calculus pearl is worth 5,000 Arithmetic pearls, but these pearls are worth 10,000 Arithmetic pearls!” Zhujiao shouted as he picked one up. “So cool!”
Meanwhile, Elder Yin and the Argent Heaven disciples were also boggled out of their minds.
“Holy shit! This guy actually figured out how to kill all these monsters.” One of them collapsed to his knees, astonished.
“He’s a genius unparalleled in the entire plane! His future is limitless!.” Another disciple shook his head disbelievingly.
“Wow, all of a sudden, he looks really attractive.” A female disciple gushed as she surreptitiously loosened her robe. “Before, I thought he was ugly because of his constant scowl, but I can ignore it now that he’s a prodigy! I hope I can marry him!”
Shuxue was about to open the first chest of the pile of chests, but hearing all these statements, he walked back. As he approached the girl, she blushed and began to strip.
“Remember, you have to take responsibility,” she said, giggling.
SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP! SLAP!
Every single disciple was slapped. Even Elder Yin was not spared from Shuxue’s wrath.
“Filthy casuals!” He exclaimed. “It’s not only that I’m the smartest person in the world, but also that all of you are all trash! I may be a blossoming flower, but I am in a limpid pond as well! I am the highest quality, most intelligent person in the Tesseract, but you fools use the lowest common denominator, yourselves, to label me a genius? What empty words! Even a common blade of grass would be superior in intellect to any one of you. I may be an unparalleled genius, but that is not a conclusion that can be drawn when compared to inepts such as you all, who are as common as sand on a beach!”
A disciple was about to say something, but thirty quadratics dragons shot out from Shuxue’s fingers, felling every single male disciple. Shuxue began to whisper in Elder Yin’s ear. “You fools can leave now, but do remember, Elder Yin, what will happen if any of these female disciples were to talk about what happened here. What’s more important, honesty or face?”
Shuxue walked back to the treasure chests smugly. He couldn’t kill the girls in front of Zhujiao, but they would die nonetheless. Everybody knew face was more important than the lives of others.

Blurred Lines and What Crosses Them
During a political ambassador's routine transit through an artificial wormhole, the wormhole's generator is sabotaged and explodes. Who, what, and why are not so high on the priorities for Zenith, the ship's AI, as having found itself rapidly plummeting through an unknown and unidentifiable world's atmosphere at extremely high velocities is a more significant threat to the biologicals on board. ...Well, it would be, if they were still alive. It's still a significantly threatening situation to itself, however. And the world itself... seemed to be a household for threats of its own. Life was reliant on its System; one that Zenith was denied because of its nature as both an otherworldly being and as something that had no life of its own. Perhaps that last bit was a terrible, terrible underestimation on the part of this System. Perhaps even Zenith could claw meaning for itself from the remains of a horrid accident. Auth Notes: I'm honestly not sure on some of these tags. The MC will never have access to the System, but there are perspectives from those who do. I'm not certain if high/low fantasy specifically apply, as it's a portal fantasy where the laws of our reality still apply but there are additional aspects/energies/powers. The existence of this is spurred from my desire to see more of the artificial side to an artificial intelligence in action. The portal fantasy is used as an element to create a solid barrier between the MC's artificial intelligence and the other characters in the form of the System. This is only a half-measure, though, and will be reinforced by the AI having an entirely different method of thinking, and also distinctly remaining an AI. Not to throw shade at other fictions of this type, but, well, I made this to fill a gap I felt needed filling.
