Epilogue 2: Theresa Brown aka Scourge

Theresa read the letter over again as she returned to the duty of wiping her hands clean. Before she once again read the letter. This time she began to read parts out loud for the whimpering occupant of the room to hear.

“I’m sorry mom, dad, everybody. I’m sorry I’m not strong enough to say goodbye in person.”

Theresa put the letter down but kept it within her sight as she began to work. She began to scrape at the bone marrow of the still living man while simultaneously healing him to keep him alive and his mind unbroken to experience the full amount of pain.

“I want you to know I love you guys no matter what. I’m sorry for always being in decisive and causing you trouble all the time.”

The blue haired Terr-an begged her eyes pleading as he could not speak for, he no longer had a tongue but whimpering was aplenty. Theresa could fix that and would in time to question him properly.

“Thank you. Thank you for being the best mother and father. Thank you for taking care of me no matter how busy your schedule got with work. Thank you and I love you to infinity and beyond.”

“To infinity and beyond,” Theresa repeated.

It was her son Terrence favorite phrase growing up and it sort of stuck with the family even after he grew older.

She began to heal the tongue of the Terr-an and the whimpering increased as the itchiness from regrowing a tongue was intense. Theresa would know after she was beaten senseless after bothering the Terr-an Embassy. Going as far as to stalk the members coming to and from and even cornering members to gather information.

Information on the location of her son. She among others riled the public against the new humans and the others who were discontent at the new world order gathered around her and Rebecca. The Resistance was not easily cowed, however. So, they made an example of her. A show of force if you will and the very thing that Theresa hates that destroyed her world and took her son was the very thing, she used to heal herself.

“Oh, I know you’re going to tell me everything regardless. You were broken within the first five minutes. It’s just that I so do enjoy torture.

“Scourge, you are a Scourge to humanity itself. You will bring ruin upon your family, bitch.”
