《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 78 - The world is watching

Whitebeard covered his eyes as the wind was too strong.
He saw the sky darken and a loud vicious roar of thunder, the next second later a huge bolt of lightning hit the ground.
Ace who was in front of the blast was blown back. Luffy and the vivre card he was trying to grab were thrown backwards.
"A bolt of lightning!?"
"Where did it come from? The skies were clear!"
Everyone was curious where this strange bolt of lightning came from, as there was no signs of a storm earlier.
As the smoke cleared from around where the bolt of lightning struck, they saw Bob standing over Akainu's body with a deep crater in the ground. A sword was stuck in Akainu's back but he was still alive, however the damage he suffered was severe.
Bob's blue hair was frizzy due to Thunderclap, but he was surprised that Akainu wasn't dead.
"Seems this wasn't enough to finish you off."
Bob said.
Akainu looked back at Bob and clenched his teeth as he started to get up.
Bob grabbed Worlds End and withdrew it from Akainu's back.
He activated Mortal Reminder as Worlds End was covered in a light. He swung it and Akainu was completely vulnerable.
Everyone on the battlefield was silent as they didn't know how to make sense of this scene.
Charles was stunned too as he and his friends stopped playing their music.
"Is… is this the moment Bob was talking about?"
One of his friends asked.
Charles gulped.
"Play the song!"
They didn't even finish playing Legends Never Die, and started a brand new song.
Bob was the center of attention as Akainu's head was off his body.
'I never did like this guy.'
Bob looked up and felt like the whole world was watching him.

Music started playing and Charles voice echoed onto the field.
"There's no time for redemption
Those flags you wave, will they hold up?
Don't cry for your vengeance
It's right there to take if you want it
The world is watching"
It wasn't like the other songs Wishful Thinking sung, this was different. This song, it was saying something else.
All over the world, to those who managed to watch this war they were silent.
Akainu was dead, and Bob one of the 7 warlords killed him. Did he betray the World Government?
He was not on the side of the Whitebeard pirates and now he wasn't on the side of the Marines.
"Here's your judgement
Here's your reckoning
Write your story down into history
Pride and country
You could have everything
So bring home the glory alive"
"H-he killed him…"
"Admiral Akainu is down! I need to release this to the public fast!"
The reporters that were still watching the war were shaken. This was big news, one that would change the world.
At the revolutionary base John and Ron were both watching along with all the revolutionary soldiers.
"This guy! He's challenging the marines to a fight right in front of the entire world!"
John said as he couldn't believe his eyes.
"You think the marines will accept?"
Discussion broke out amongst the revolutionaries.
Dragon who stood in the back away from everyone else watched this scene. The video seemed to be paused at the scene where Bob looked up at all the marines after he slayed Akainu.
With Wishful Thinking playing that music in the background, it truly did seem like Bob was challenging the marines.
"This kid, he's going to be a legend."
Dragon said as he laughed to himself.
"BOB!"
Luffy shouted as he had Ace's vivre card in hand.

"That was amazing!"
"Bob. What are you going to do now?"
Ace asked Bob.
"Well, I can't stay here, now can I?"
Luffy's eyes grew wide.
"Does that mean you're planning on joining my crew?"
Bob shook his head.
"That bastard… he killed Admiral Akainu!"
"Get him!"
The marines charged straight for Bob.
Sengoku was disappointed in Bob, he hung his head low.
'Is this the path you chose?'
Sengoku questioned if Bob really wanted to challenge the World Government.
"Marco! Make sure those three escape, they are going to shape the new era."
Whitebeard said.
Marco flew towards Bob, Ace and Luffy.
"Go! It's time to leave!"
As Marco was grabbing those three Whitebeard grabbed his polearm and swung it. The air started to crack as another huge tremor emerged.
The buildings at Marineford started to breakdown.
As Bob passed Whitebeard he stopped and looked up at him.
He was still injured from before, but it seemed like he had no plans on leaving this place alive. His mind was set on dying here to let everyone escape.
"You don't have to die."
Bob said.
Whitebeard grinned.
"Be careful kid, the target on your back is huge now."
Whitebeard said.
Bob smiled and used Grand Blessing on Whitebeard, healing most of his injures. He couldn't do anything about the hole in his chest, but it'd help him survive for a lot longer.
Bob ran past Whitebeard and after fifty steps the ground to get to Whitebeard was destroyed. There was no longer a path to get to him.
As the marines were rushing towards Whitebeard, someone noticed something.
"Hey! Who are those people on the execution stand?"
"Huh?"
"Seems they finally noticed us."
Blackbeard said.
"You little brat!"
Whitebeard clenched his fist.
Bob sighed when he saw this.
'Hina.. what did I tell you? How'd you let this happen?'
Bob asked himself as he saw Blackbeard appear with his crew from Impel Down.
Ace gritted his teeth.
"Blackbeard!"
Bob could understand how Ace felt. He lost to the guy and because of him this situation occurred.
Blackbeard started laughing.
"So, you just wanted the status of a warlord to free those criminals?"
Sengoku asked.
"Yes! That's all I wanted and that's all that matters!"
Whitebeard punched the air in anger.
"I don't give a damn about that!"
The tremor Whitebeard caused, made the platform Blackbeard and his crew was standing on shatter. They fell to the ground and all sorts of rubble covered their body.
"You have no mercy, huh? Of course you don't!"
Blackbeard said as he glared at Whitebeard.
"You broke the one and only iron rule on my ship and you killed your mate! I will avenge the 4th division commander Thatch by taking this fool's life thereby ending the matter!"
Whitebeard pointed his polearm at Blackbeard.
Ace clenched his fist together and was about to move.
"ACE! MARCO!"
Whitebeard yelled.
"Pops!"
"Stay out of this!"
"Pops!"
Bob wished he had some popcorn, this fight was about to be amazing.
Whitebeard's injury was not as severe in the show and with Bob using Grand Blessing on him, he was almost at full strength.
"Let's get this over with, Teach!"
