《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 72 - Thunderclap

"You know Bob?"
Shakky asked Luffy.
"Yeah, he's a friend of mine I grew up with."
Luffy replied.
"He must be something special if he was given a spot as one of the 7 warlords…"
Bob sneezed again and rubbed his nose.
"Who keeps talking about me?"
Bob asked himself as he exited the concert hall.
Boom!
Bob heard the sound of an explosion, he turned his head and looked where it was coming from. In the air he saw smoke rising and went in that direction.
When he arrived at the scene he saw a muscular young man with bright red hair that resembled flames. In front of him was a longarmed man who was wearing a set of orange headphones.
The two of them looked as if they were about to fight, but both were spouting a bunch of words to each other.
Bob instantly recognized them as two members of the 11 supernova. Eustass Kid and Apoo.
Bob rubbed his chin as he observed them.
'If these two created this scene, that could only mean that its almost time. All 11 supernova are here on this island.'
Bob figured it wouldn't be much longer before a huge scene was caused that Admiral Kizaru to make a move.
'Should I go to the auction house? Nah, that would be too troublesome. Marines would try to have me help them capture Luffy, i'd rather not get involved yet. Speaking of Marines, Dr. Vegapunk should be trying to turn Kuma into a complete robot. I wonder if Kuma will stand for it, or maybe he'll do something else. Afterall I did tell him about it months in advance.'
Bob thought about how things were changing in this world. So far everything was going well, but after the timeskip happened Bob had his own plans. How things turned out was up in the air after the war was over with.

Bob walked away from Kid and Apoo, then he spotted Law. A slim man with black hair, but he was always wearing a fur hat which was white and has a spotted pattern on it.
"You here to watch the show too?"
Law asked as he saw Bob appear next to him.
"They don't interest me."
"Then what does?"
"A little bit of this, a little bit of that."
"What? That doesn't even make any sense."
Bob laughed.
"It doesn't need to."
"I'm Bob by the way."
"I've heard of you. One of the World Governments lap dog's."
Bob looked at Law and shook his head.
"Not even close. I'll remember those words if you ever become one of the World Governments lap dog's."
"I'd never."
Bob knew he would sometime after the war was over with.
"Desperate people do desperate things."
Bob talked to Law for a little bit longer before he departed. He was mostly just wasting time at this point. While waiting Bob decided to look at his stats.

[Note: Thunderclap's cooldown cannot be reset by its own effect.]
'I'll see how things play out during this war, if this build isn't good then i'll just change it.'
Bob thought to himself as he looked at his stats.
He felt powerful, but he didn't know how strong he currently was. Is he strong enough to save Ace? Probably, but he'll have to see how things go.
He had some amazing skills, and his ultimate ability was something else. Bob picked that skill because of its effect and time slowing ability. Having time slowed by that much basically meant people were not moving when Bob used this skill.
As for his other skills, he felt they were great. In theory, he'd be moving fast with his infinite dashes, and he'd be able to throw a whirlwind into a group of enemies. They'd be dead or injured once he finished using Last Breath.
He also had protection from ranged attacked.
A few hours went by and Bob saw the marines rushing to catch the Strawhat pirates. When Bob saw them, he looked the other way, but eventually ran into a tan man with brown hair. He was wearing a hat that had the word 'Marine' on it.
He looked at Bob and stood tall. He reached into his coat and pulled out a letter.
"Quicksword Bob! You are to heed to orders of the marines and report to Marineford at once!"
"What for?"
Bob asked.
"You are the first one to know this as it hasn't been put into the papers yet, but we've captured the second division captain of the Whitebeard pirates 'Fire Fist' Ace! He will be executed in the coming days!"
The marine soldier said proudly as if he was the one that captured Ace himself.
"When do we leave?"
"We will depart later today, is there a problem with that?"
Bob scratched his cheek.
"Well, I have this idea. Come, let me tell you all about it."
Bob began to explain to the man that they should invite Wishful Thinking to Marineford as well. The band was famous and they knew various songs. If the world would see the death of a famous pirate, that pirate should be honored with a farewell song.
The man listened to Bob and said he needed to ask his superiors about it.
"Look! If Wishful Thinking can't attend, i'm not going either!"
Bob pretended to be upset.
He honestly did not want to have this war happen without some epic songs playing in the background. Stuff to get peoples blood pumping and hearts racing. He wanted this to be something worth remembering.
"Ok! Ok! They can come, just get off me!"

Shadowrun: Blake Island School of Magic
It's a high tech, low life. It's the Seattle Metroplex in 2074. It rises like a steel and concrete cancer out of the earth. Poverty is rampant, corruption is everywhere, crime is out of control, corporations basically control everything, the old United States is fractured, magic has come back and now it turns out that humanity has been joined by elves, dwarves, orks and trolls. The old world ended but the rent is still due. Life goes on. You'd be surprised what people can adapt to, especially if they don't have a choice. One of the places where life goes on is just west of Seattle. Surrounded by the waters of the Puget Sound is an island. On that island is the Blake Island School of Magic. A decade ago it was known for producing some of the most talented awakened in the world. That reputation was hijacked by the wealthy corporate elite who now park their teenage children there. And since it's a boarding school, their parents mostly forget about them. Three young people, who are certainly not wealthy or elite, are chosen this year to attend this school of magic in hopes of revitalizing their reputation for talent. One from the ash drifts of the Puyallup Barrens, one from the most densely populated slum hive in the world and one from prison. This is their story. -- This story is set in the Shadowrun universe. If you're not familiar with Shadowrun, it mostly tells the stories of deniable mercenaries called shadowrunners in a cyberpunk dystopia. Instead of telling another story solely about shadowrunners, this story will tell the tale of young people navigating a world that is indifferent to them at best and actively hostile at worst. Shadowrunners will be in the story and we'll see them operate, but they won't be its main focus. This story originally began in 2017 as a passion project and continues to this day on the Somethingawful.com forums. The unedited version is over a million words strong. There are currently seven books in this series and I am currently in the process of editing them. If you read this story then you won't lack for content. -- The Topps Company, Inc. has sole ownership of the names, logo, artwork, marks, photographs, sounds, audio, video and/or any proprietary material used in connection with the game Shadowrun.
