《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 55 - Doesn't want to see you

Koza never came to visit Bob after he left, nor did he come the second day. Bob thought something was weird thus he decided to pay him another visit. If Koza was smart, he'd listen to Bob.
'If he doesn't listen to me, i'll have to do the thing I don't want to do! I'll dress up as Vivi and convince him!'
Bob thought to himself.
"John, i'm going to pay another visit to Koza. If he doesn't give me a reply today we can leave and go back to our base."
"Little guy doesn't know what's good for him. I'll tell the boys to pack up."
"You have little faith, he'll come around."
Bob hoped he was right.
He left the inn and went to the rebel camp army.
Bob did learn something from Mr. Love about Crocodile's plan, but it was mostly things he already knew. Mr. Love was pretty useless. Bob was still holding him hostage for now, mostly due to his ability to change into anyone he's had contact with before.
"I'm here to see Koza."
Bob said to the guards at the wooden gate.
"No can do, boss doesn't want anyone to see him. Turn back around."
"Since when? I was just here and he saw me."
The rebel soldiers at the gate raised their weapons towards Bob.
Bob saw Baroque Works tattoo on their arm.
"Alright no need to start anything. He doesn't want to see me, then i'll just leave."
Bob said calmly as he walked away.
'I made a big mistake in coming here to talk to Koza. Seems the Baroque Works agents are guarding the gate now, that could only mean Crocodile heard about my talk with Koza. If they are guarding the gate, that means the Koza inside isn't the real Koza. He'd never turn away people that wanted to talk. I didn't think Crocodile would send Mr. 2 here, seems I was wrong.'

Bob shook his head.
There were things that were messed up now.
His own fault for thinking he could give Koza information like he did Dalton. Wapol was an idiot, Crocodile is much more smarter than him and he had capable subordinates under his command.
Even if Bob went in there and told them that Koza wasn't really Koza, no one would believe him. If anything he'd just make things worse.
Stopping the war was now impossible.
Bob didn't even know if the original date was still set in stone.
Bob hit himself on the head.
"Stupid Bob! Stupid!"
He quickly rushed back to the inn. There was no telling where Koza would be locked up or if he was dead.
Bob needed to leave this town.
"John, let's go there's been a change."
"Figured as much, he turned you down didn't he?"
"No. Something worse happened. I'll tell you about it later."
"Alright. Let's go boys!"
The gang was already packed up and ready to go, so they left the inn without an issuse. However when they went out the door, a tanned muscular man was standing outside. Next to him was a slim woman with dark-blue curly hair.
Bob recognized them as Mr. 1 and Miss Doublefinger.
"Never expected to find you in an inn."
Mr. 1 said.
"Never expected you to come find me at all."
Bob replied.
"Whos this Bob?"
John asked.
Bob grinned.
"John, you should get ready for a fight. This guy's pretty strong, if you should stay alert."
John unsheathed Amane and took a stance. It was a different stance than he used before.
"How strong we talking?"
John asked.
"Fight him and find out."
Bob replied.
Mr. 1 turned his fingers into steel blades.

"You aren't planning on fighting me yourself? Doesn't matter, you all are going to fall right here."
"Then i'll take care of that girl."
Hassan said as he started spinning his dagger.
"What are you talking about? She's mines."
Sasha said as she shoved her way in front of Hassan.
Sasha cracked her knuckles and took a fighting stance.
Miss Doublefinger whipped her hair and snorted.
'I wasn't counting on this to happen. Seems instead of Zoro vs Mr. 1 it'll be John vs Mr. 1. Nami won't have to fight Miss Doublefinger… Hopefully this won't mess with their growth.'
Bob said to himself.
"The rest of you, go back to the base. I'll catch up after these two are done fighting."
"But Bob! How can we leave?"
"Don't worry about it. They must not have gotten my message when I told them a new boss was in town. If they were smart, they wouldn't have come found me."

City of Captives
In the Qursan Empire, the grey walls of the City press down on its subjects. It is a highly divided society which is based on the magical strength of its citizens. While the most powerful are trained as Mages, the majority of citizens use their limited skills with Essence to power the City in their assigned jobs. Jano is pretty much the lowest of the low in the Qursan Empire. A Class Ten citizen forced into transitory work after having his power restricted. When he gets the opportunity to change all of that, he takes it with both hands. This is a slow burning progression fantasy. Please expect at least two chapters per week. I love writing this story but I do have unfortunate things to deal with like work and life outside of writing. I may be able to write and edit more than that, but it will never be less! This is largely still a draft. I hope to use any comments and reviews in the future. Thanks for reading!

Raven: The Beginning
'What's the worst that could happen'? is what I thought to myself as I entered the World of the Veil with a new, experimental machine that the company created. I was originally excited to participate in their alpha test, and now, looking back, I was just a naive little girl that didn't know what it was like to truly suffer. Sarah was one of the world's best assassin players, but she wasn't prepared for getting stuck as a low-level player in a new game. Suddenly she has to struggle just to survive against the monsters of the world, while also keeping her secret from the authorities. What happens when the killing, and the consequences, are just too real? Author's Note (and a Warning): This book is about a normal person that is forced into a fantasy / medieval environment. What could possibly go wrong with our heroine? This novel is a sort of, legacy. I wanted to at least put it out there before I passed away due to a combination of financial difficulty, homelessness, job loss, and my last interview taking up the last of my savings (which I did not get the job). If by some miracle, and I get a job that can give me a pay advance by next week (4/8) and I survive this turbulent time, I will edit this - and the formating of the book). If you are so willing, please donate on my patreon page. Regards, Dave

Touching Stories Of The Sahaba (ra) ..
Stories have always been a great and powerful way to Learn, Understand & Motivate our Imaan (Faith). So why not learn and experience some of the Best Stories of Islam to inspire and understand the importance of our lives...One of the ideas that made me compile this book was that Muslim parents while going to bed at night, instead of telling myth and fables to their children, may narrate to them such real and true stories of the golden age of Islam that will create in them an Islamic spirit of love and esteem for sahabah, and thereby improve their Imaan..These stories are taken from various websites, lectures and books and are well researched..These stories are not intended as biographies, but rather to provide a glimpse of the main incidents of each companion's life.
