《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 50 - Unexpected

Bob's crew spent their time training their haki and listening to Bob talk about what the current situation was on Alabasta.
Bob's current progress with his haki was that he could cover his fist in it. Just one hand, not both. It was a huge leap compared to before, but once again he found himself struggling.
There seemed to be more to this haki than others led on. It was difficult to master it.
"Maybe I should pay him a visit."
Bob said to himself as he thought of someone who could help him out. Someone that he could learn from.
"Nah, now's not the time. Soon though, soon."
Bob told himself as he got rid of the figure in his head.
His crew was already a day behind Luffy's crew, so there were roughly 9 or 10 days left until the war breaks out.
Bob was planning on showing off, and during this war.
He got excited just thinking about it.
"Bob! We've reached Alabasta!"
Jacob shouted causing Bob to look out.
There it was, that island that barely rained.
Bob knew that Crocodile had setup his main base of operations at Rainbase City. Bob had a few goals he wanted to accomplish here, one of which was taking over all of Crocodiles operations.
If Bob managed to do that he could get a steady income just from all the different businesses Crocodile owned.
Bob would love that.
'Maybe I should steal it all first…'
Bob thought to himself as he thought of all the money the casino made. Bob felt his hand inch just thinking about money.
'Boots. I can see them already.'
Bob could see his next item already in his hands. Soon he'll be wearing the boots he wanted and no one could touch him. Well, that wasn't exactly correct. They still would be able to, it'd just be much harder to do so.

Bob's ship soon docked in the port.
Bob took a look around there was tons of sand everywhere and people were wearing thin clothing to keep themselves warm.
Bob could see all the stalls on the streets and the large crowd of people.
"Jacob, this is Nanohana town?"
Bob asked.
"Yeah, is there something wrong with this spot?"
Bob shook his head.
"No."
This was the same place the Strawhats landed when they came to Alabasta, here it was where Luffy met Ace. That already happened though so Bob didn't need to worry about anything.
"Let's see where John is."
Bob said as he went to grab the den-den mushi.
It started ringing.
"Hello?"
"John! It's Bob, where are you?"
"Bob Buddy! I'm here in Alabasta, a city called Rainbase. I figured it was a good place to open up a base since there is so much traffic. Property and things have already been brought, just putting up the finishing touches now."
John sounded excited.
"Good. I'm in Alabasta as well, but there are some things going on right now. I was wondering if you wanted to get involved?"
"If its a good fight, you can count me in!"
"I'll meet you in the city. Just stand outside, i'll find you."
"Alright, see you soon."
Bob was glad that John setup base at Rainbase city. Made things a lot easier for him. He actually had a reason to go to that city now.
Might as well pay the casino a visit too while he was there.
Bob didn't forget that he still needed to make contact with Koza the leader of the rebel army.
There was no telling what sort of things Bob would have to do to join the rebel army. He figured it wouldn't be easy, as Koza might suspect him to be on Crocodiles goons. Therefore, Bob would need to gain his trust.

'Maybe I can shut down the casino. That might help gain his trust.'
Bob thought to himself.
"Alright, we are going to Rainbase city, that's where John is. A good time to see some new faces."
Bob said as he started to get off the ship.
"I'd love to meet the others."
Dalton said as he jumped off the ship.
The others followed behind Bob.
"Kureha, if you see a place that you believe will be good to open a hospital let me know. We'll just have to buy it and start remodeling."
"If I see anything I'll let you know."
Kureha said.
She was looking at the various shops they passed by. Bob thought she might be curious about something but he didn't ask.
It took them a while to get from Nanohana to Rainbase City. By the time they arrived Bob was sweating as the intense heat was getting to him.
"How much longer?"
Sasha asked as she was also sweating hard.
"Not much further."
"You guys make it seem like this weather is bad. You ask me, this is perfect!"
Luna commented.
She was a lion mink, being in hot weather didn't bother her much. If anything this was like a natural environment for her. Minus all the sand.
After entering the city and walking around for a while, Bob spotted John.
"John!"
John was wearing black shorts and had a black turban on his head. Amane was a large sword so it was in his hand.
Bob also noticed that John had a tattoo on his chest. It was new, because Bob never saw it before.
"When did you get that?"
Bob pointed towards John's tattoo and asked when he appeared in front of him.
John pointed to the demon like tattoo on his chest.
"About a week ago. That mask you gave me, I decided to get it drawn on my chest! Cool isn't it."
Bob laughed.
"If you saw so."
Besides the tattoo, John didn't look much different.
Still had that scar under his left eye and all over his body.
"Boss, the Barbar Pirates have made their move."
A relatively thin man with short scruffy hair and a scruffy beard appeared. There seemed to be dark circles under his eyes. He was wearing a gray headband with blue stripes, and gray jacket.
Bob knew this man.
"Bob, let me introduce you. This is Gin the "Man-Demon". He was a pirate under Krieg but after they were destroyed I found him and we had a duel. Naturally yours truly won and he decided to follow me."
"This, is unexpected, but, welcome Gin!"
