《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 49 - Designated Healer

Bob did not like having unexpected things happening, because he could no longer take advantage of his knowledge to its full potential.
Although Wapol and his lackeys were defeated, they weren't worth anything. Bob couldn't remember if they had a bounty on them or not, but he assumed they did not. Besides, there wasn't even a marine base on Drum Island so he'd have to take them with him to Alabasta if he wanted to turn him in.
That was too much work for Bob, it was better to leave him in Daltons hands.
Bob left Bighorn town and decided that he would be leaving Drum Island tomorrow.
There were only a few arcs in One Piece that Bob actually remembered well, and one of them was the Alabasta arc.
Bob spent the rest of the day on Drum Island watching over the story progresses. Things were different as Luffy and his crew never fought Wapol again.
Instead they met the doctor and Chopper, while Nami was saved.
After that was done Luffy tried to recruit Dalton to join his crew. Telling Dalton how strong he was and that he could use him.
Dalton ended up declining saying that he already had something else to do.
Chopper ended up joining up with Luffy's crew as their doctor.
Kureha gave him some encouraging words letting him know she would be fine on her own as she had plans.
With the Drum Island arc coming to an end, Bob was glad things were on track. There were some slight changes here and there, but everything ended up working out.
The Strawhats left Drum Island the same day they arrived.
"Glad to see everything worked out for you."
Bob said as he appeared next to Dalton.
"It's all thanks to you Faceless! What you said happened and thanks to that we were able to handle it."

Bob chuckled.
"It was bound to happen anyways."
"Guess that means I work for you now, seeing as we still have a contract."
Dalton said.
Bob nodded.
"Yeah, just stay here and collect information. It's easy."
"Actually Faceless, I was curious if I could go with you. Staying here on Drum Island is nice, but I find things more interesting by your side."
Bob was silent.
'Another change… good or bad? That's the question.'
Bob thought about it for a minute or two.
"What about rebuilding the kingdom? Don't you want to be apart of that? Also, if you leave who'll operate the base here I made?"
Bob asked questions.
"That's easy. While i'm the most likely person to be next in line for the throne, I don't have to accept it. There are other more noble people here than me that will be nominated. I'm already apart of rebuilding the kingdom. Our people's worst fear came but we conquered it. Wapol is in custody so there is nothing to worry about. All the money I earn from working with you I can still put into this Island. In a few years when I return I hope to see a better place."
Dalton said in a happy tone.
"What about the last part?"
Dalton patted Bob on the shoulder.
"That doesn't even need to be asked. Everyone's seen what you did here, they are more than willing to help you out. You asked me to operate it, but now you have the entire's town respect. They will all help you out in collecting and gathering information. Just ask them!"
Turns out even thought things were changed slightly, things still worked out in the end for Bob.
"Fine. You can join us, but you'll need a new weapon. Also, you may become wanted by the World Government."

Dalton laughed.
"Sounds fun."
"Then pack up, we are leaving tomorrow moring. I have big plans Dalton. BIG PLANS."
Bob made the word big be drawn out.
"No problem, i'll be ready."
Bob never figured something like Dalton joining him would happen, but he did not mind. With Dalton onboard, things would be easier. Not to mention he'd have three devil fruit users on his ship now.
The next day soon came and Bob was standing on the deck of his ship.
Hassan, Luna, Sasha, Tiffany and now Dalton.
If this was a game from Bob's past, then they'd have a tank, a mage, an assassin, an archer, and two melee damage dealers.
If Bob counted Kureha in, then they had a designated healer. It was a perfect setup, but Bob knew that Kureha wouldn't stay with them.
Thinking of this setup like a game, Bob thought he should get in touch with Tim. Have Tim craft him some armor for Dalton. Something that can protect his body while he absorbs all the damage.
'This is life Bob! Not a video game. Stop it.'
Bob told himself as he shook his head.
"Do you guys have everything?"
Bob asked them.
They all nodded their head.
"Once we leave, i'm not having us turn back. So i'll ask again, is anyone forgetting anything?"
All of them thought about it for a moment but once again, they said they have everything.
"Alright Jacob, set sail for Alabasta!"
Jacob started giving orders and the ship set sail.
Five minutes out, and Dalton made a shocked face.
"Faceless stop! I forgot my helmet!"
"What? We aren't going back, you want your helmet then go get it!"
Bob wasn't being fooled.
Since when does Dalton wear a helmet.
"Tsk. Didn't fall for it huh?"
"No. And, you can call me Bob."
Bob said as he removed his mask.
"I like Faceless better, sounds more mysterious. Bob's a plain name."
Bob shrugged.
"Do what you want."
Bob turned to Kureha.
"So, those twenty doctors, you decided to accept them all?"
Bob asked her.
He was talking about the twenty doctors that Wapol took for himself. Bob knocked them all out as he wanted to ask Kureha about them. They already had general knowledge about healing, so it wouldn't be too hard to teach them anything new.
"No. I decided to take ten of them."
"Then why are all twenty on the ship?"
Bob asked her.
"The others have another purpose."
"Well, i'm not one to ask questions. I'll leave you in charge of everything."
Kureha nodded her head. She liked it that way.

Milton
A Cyberpunk Coming of Age Tale The Apocalypse is ugly. The only lights that work are battery powered or neon. Scroungers kill your neighbors and take control of their bodies. Then he discovers Ragnarok, Orchestrator of the Rainbow Letters and all of Milton’s problems. The race to figure out why is on. If Milton is to survive long enough to find answers, he must first be strong enough to confront his worst enemy: himself. * This is work in progress and NOT professionally edited. * ** This story is humorous in the begining, but gets very dark around the turning point.
