《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 28 - Not too much longer

Bob opened up the store, and when he saw the number of points his eyes grew wide.
"So many!"
The total amount of points Bob obtained from the auction house and the points he already had was 59,860. It was the first time Bob had so many points, he felt like a kid in a candy store.
"Let's see, what to buy."
Bob's original plan was to buy an item for 45,000 points but maybe he could get something else instead.
Bob quickly scanned through the list of items.
"What to get? My damage seems to be fine right now, but higher damage means i'll beat my opponent easier. Yet, I wonder what that defensive item does?"
Bob felt tingly all over.
"No Bob. No! Stick to the plan."
Bob shook his head. He had a solid game plan, as long as he stuck to it he'd be fine.
Bob used the search function of the shop and typed in Earring of Mortal Reminder.
This item was an accessory type, but it had a little bit of everything. The stats on it weren't the greatest, however the unique is what made is so good.
Even if he did not train his armament haki, he'd still be able to deal with some logia devil fruit users.
Granted, he wasn't 100% sure about that, but from what the passive said it sounded like it.
Yet Bob wanted to be sure, so he still planned on obtaining his haki.
Bob brought the earring and read over its description once more.
[Earring of Mortal Reminder]
[Attack Damage + 20]
[Attack Speed + 20%]
[HP +100]
[Magic Resistance +10]
[Health Regeneration + 10%]
[Unique Passive - Mortal Reminder: Charge energy while fighting an enemy up to 3 stacks. Upon consuming the energy your next attack will always deal damage to your opponent.]
[1st charge - 30% chance of ignoring enemy defense]
[2nd charge - 60% chance of ignoring enemy defense]
[3rd charge - Ignores all of your opponents defense]
[0 of 3 charges available.]
[Note: Unleashing the 3rd charge of Mortal Reminder will deal true damage to the opponent, meaning they will take the full force of your attack no matter what.]
[Note 2: To activate this your opponent must be in your attack range.]
With this item Bob would give those with high defense something to watch out for.
Earring of Mortal Reminder basically cause whoever was on the other end of this skill to become mortal. Meaning no special skills, no haki, no anything. They'd be reminded that they were no one special.
This is why Bob loved this earring.
The reason he did not pick it up first was due to high cost, and he needed a weapon.
As for the health it gave, Bob did not understand what it did. In games it was the amount of damage you can take before you died, but last time Bob checked he did not have a health bar.
Health Regeneration was self explanatory, it caused Bob to regenerate his health over time.
As for Magic Resistance, Bob had no clue what it did.
Bob check his stats.

[Note 2: Armor represents the amount of resistance your body has to physical attacks. Magic Resistance represents the amount of resistance your body has to magical attacks.]
Bob saw the three new lines on his status page, It must have appeared when he gained those stats.
Bob paid attention to the notes at the bottom. His health was like the HP bar in a video game, except if he was shot in the heart, or his head was cut off, then he'd die like a normal person.
Bob understood what his armor and resistances did, the only thing he was curious about was if devil fruits counted as magical attacks.
Bob really wished he could see the stats of others, that way he'd get a good understanding of how strong he was.
Bob checked his leftover points which amounted to 14,860.
It was not enough for a full item, but it was good enough for a part of one.
Bob brought the piece for the next item on his list.
[Boots]
[Increase movement speed by 15%]
That was all it did, but the final form of this item was something else.
Once that was done, Bob closed the shop and his status page.
In his hand was a pair of black boots. Bob took off his old pair of shoes and equipped those.
The weird thing was for the Earrings of Mortal Reminder, those were automatically equipped to Bob's ear. His ears weren't even pierced before, but now he felt them.
Bob wished he had a mirror right now to see how he looked. With his blue hair and stylish outfit, he had a feeling he'd have the girls falling head over heels for him.
Bob started to laugh.
He stopped after a moment as he stared out towards the sea.
"It shouldn't be too much longer now."
Bob said to himself.
He did not know the exact timeline of One Piece, but he knew that Luffy should be having his bounty announced to the world. Once that happened, Luffy should be heading towards Loguetown.
Bob had to catch up to him, he did not want to be too far behind Luffy.

Life in the New World
On the Hiatus: I began writing this novel when I was, in all honesty, very bad at writing. I hope to revisit creative writing in the near future and I plan to, at some point in time, revisit this. I am flattered that many people have taken the time to read this story, but it is not what I intend to start with, as it will likely need a hard rewrite in order to correct many of the more glaring issues it has. Join our hero and follow his exciting adventure through a newly changed world! WARNING their will be violence, profanity,, and gore in this fiction. if any of these make you uncomfortable this is not a story for you turn around and walk away now!!!
