《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 27 - Recruitment

Bob charged forward knocking out anyone who stood in his path. He held back his power so he wouldn't kill them.
"He's so strong!"
"Indeed!"
The slaves were chatting behind Bob's back while trying to keep up with him.
Bob wanted them to be free, but if they were to stay on this island he was sure they'd be captured once more. Maybe even beaten half to death.
It wasn't until Bob was close to the exit that he recalled Jacob's words.
When Jacob found out that the pirates Bob turned in were either dead or in the custody of the Marines he asked about their ship. Bob said it should still be there, and Jacob said he was going to get it.
Bob knew what his next plan was. He just hoped that Jacob was at the dock with those ships.
When Bob reached the exit, there were marines pointing guns in his direction.
"Stop!"
They yelled at Bob.
Bob didn't listen, he continued to dash forward and activated Grand Blessing. He arrived in front of the marines before they knew it, and knocked them out.
Gun fire rang but Bob activated Judgement causing him to take no damage.
He was disappointed about this skill, the cooldown was once every three hours.
Still, it was pretty much overpowered.
During Judgement, Bob quickly took care of the other marines.
"Hurry up, follow me!"
Bob yelled out.
As he was about to run again, he recalled something.
He started carving something on the ground with Black Death.
'Faceless was here.'
He did not want to leave without leaving a mark. People needed to know who did this. Although Bob looked like Greybeard at the moment, he was wearing a scarf so no one could truly make out all of his face.

In the future when he committed any crime he'd become Faceless, and slowly build up his bounty.
Then when Faceless was worth a lot, he'd have John turn himself in. Ron would follow him in his stealth form, take the key from the guard and him and Bob would escape.
It was the perfect plan.
Bob and all the slaves made it to the dock, due to Bob knocking out anyone who followed them they were relatively safe for now.
Bob saw Jacob on another ship walking around on the deck.
"Hey Jacob!"
Bob yelled out.
Jacob looked around and saw Bob waving at him.
Jacob waved for Bob to come up on the ship.
The ex-slaves all followed Bob.
"What do you think? Nice huh?"
Jacob asked Bob as he came onboard.
"It's alright. What's this for again?"
Jacob sighed and shook his head.
"Its for you! Your organization would need more than one ship. You'd need one or two for every island you have a base on. It'll work as a supply ship and when its time to head out to hunt down people, the others can use it."
Bob nodded his head.
"Did you find anything on board?"
Bob asked.
Just thinking about the money on this ship caused him to smile.
"There wasn't much, just a bunch of supplies. Seems that whoever this ship belonged to was stocking up for a long journey. I'd say its enough supplies for a year, give or take. My brothers just left to bring the other ship over here. We had to buy some new sails though, can't use those pirate ones. Marines would come after us."
Bob was disappointed, he was hoping there would be money.
"Who are they?"
Jacob asked.
"Oh, they are some slaves I rescued. I was going to let them go their own way, but I don't think they can stay here on Vile Island. Marines and the nobles would be coming after them."

"So what are you going to do with them?"
Bob turned to the ex-slaves.
"Well what do you guys want to do? I can take you to the next island over, or you can come work for me. I'll provide you with pay and give you jobs to do. The better you do, the more you'll be paid."
Bob started explaining to the ex-slaves about the benefits for working for him.
"We'll follow you, just tell us what to do and we'll do it!"
One man spoke up for all the ex-slaves and the others nodded their heads.
"Alright, for now make yourself at home on the ship. I'll come find you later and introduce you all to the others."
Bob easily gained 25 new recruits for his organization. It was a large recruitment, now all he had to do was separate them by their future jobs. Have them trained and send out into the world.
Bob realized he was still looking like Greybeard so he changed back into his normal appearance.
Everyone was shocked.
Bob went over to the female lion mink who was carrying all the items.
Bob grabbed the sword Amane. He was planning on gifting this to John, as for the other goods he told the lion mink to put them in a room on the ship.
Bob didn't feel he needed to watch over them, as Jacob was there. Granted they could overpower Jacob take the ship and leave but Bob had a feeling they wouldn't do that.
He started to wonder if he was too trustful.
Bob did not think on it for too long, instead when he made it back to his main ship he set Amane down.
John was nowhere to be seen.
"Hmm, how many points did I collect?"
Bob asked himself.

Sod's Law (Dropped)
This fiction has been dropped, you're more than welcome to read it anyway (there is sort of an ending). But you have been warned... Sod's law is a more extreme version of Murphy's law. While Murphy's law says that anything that can go wrong, will go wrong (eventually), Sod's law requires that it always goes wrong with the worst possible outcome. For example, concepts such as "bad fortune will be tailored to the individual" and "good fortune will occur in spite of the individual's actions" are sometimes given as examples of Sod's law in action. This would broaden Sod's law to a general sense of being "mocked by fate". In these aspects it is similar to some definitions of irony, particularly the irony of fate. - Definitions of Sod's Law on Wikipedia. The protagonist, as many before them, and many who followed, thought they were just entering a VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing-Game). Unbeknownst to them however, was a short paragraph in the Terms & Conditions, that, upon agreement, would actually transport them to a fantasy world, loosely based on the game they thought they were entering. - Something anyone could be forgiven for, no-one reads them after all. In this new world, they discover that people are born with “Traits”, a System recognised, ability, skill, or talent, that they are born with. Sod's Law was not a trait they, or anyone else for that matter, would want. Pure madness follows. Yup, this is about a character transferred to a fantasy game-world with the worst luck imaginable. This is my first fiction so I apologise for any grammar and spelling mistakes that may be made. Hopefully it is readable, and if so please tell me! But if it's not, also tell me, but in a constructive way if at all possible? Due to the nature of the “Trait” the story will be dark in places, with plenty of gore and profanity, hence the tags. There may also be scenes of a sexual nature, but nothing full on – sorry guys but you'll have to go elsewhere for that.
