《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 23 - Judgement

John who was busy fighting the large man with the pistol heard numerous gunshots. His heart dropped
"Bob!"
John yelled out.
With that many shots fired, there was no way for Bob to escape unharmed.
"Calm down. I'm not dead."
Bob replied back to John nonchalantly.
When the bullets were fired, he quickly activated Judgement. While Judgement was activated he was immune to all damage and status effects for 3 seconds.
Those bullets, Bob didn't feel a thing.
Seeing how Bob was unharmed, One-eyed Fred had his mouth wide open. It was impossible for Bob to survive.
Did he have some devil fruit that made him immune to damage?
If that was the case, Bob was basically immortal.
Bob took a quick look around the room, Ron was fighting the girl and it seemed like he was barely holding on. As for John, he seemed to be doing alright facing the large man with the pistol.
The 5 aspiring bounty hunters were holding their own against the no named pirates. The only thing was they were being bruised. Bob had to give it to them, with just two weeks of training they were already able to take out 10 lowly pirates by themselves.
Was it talent or was it do to John's teachings?
Bob quickly used Grand Blessing on Dick who had cuts all over his body. Because he was a bruiser-tank type he was absorbing a lot of damage.
Dick who was fighting seemed to regain all his energy under the effects of Grand Blessing. His speed even went up, causing him to dodge attacks easier.
Bob refocused his attention on One-eyed Fred and his deputy who was by his side. There was still all the other pirates with guns pointed at him.
The effect of Judgement would end in one second and he wouldn't be immune anymore.

All his skills were on a cooldown as well, Spellblade had 10 seconds left and Radiant Illusion had 7 seconds left.
Bob thought about Yasuo from League of Legends, if he had his infinite dash skill it'd make things a lot easier.
Bob made a quick note to himself that he should quickly pick up that item from the store next. Before he leaves Vile Island, he'll buy it!
He wasn't having a hard time dealing with these pirates, but that was only because they underestimated him. Stonehand Brian thought he could overpower Bob with his devil fruit and pure strength. He did not take the time to analyze Bob nor Bob's skills. If he did he might have gotten an advantage of Bob.
Stonehand Brian didn't have a bad devil fruit, it was just the way he used it.
Bob assumed if his damage wasn't high enough then he couldn't break through his opponents defense.
He wondered if there would ever be a way to see his opponents stats like in other games.
Bob stopped his thought and darted at One-eyed Fred who was still seated for some reason. He had the tip of Black Death pointed straight at One-eyed Fred.
Bob's speed without the use of Grand Blessing wasn't extraordinary, but it was still faster than an average persons.
"You think i'm weak just because I haven't moved yet!? Think again!"
One-eyed Fred reached by his waist and quickly drew his pistol. As long as he pulled the trigger before Bob reached him, he'd be the winner.
Bob saw One-eyed Fred reaching for his pistol and put more power in his legs. His speed increased slightly, but that was more than enough.
Bob did a swift movement with his sword disarming One-eyed Fred. After which, Bob swung his blade across the chest of the deputy next to One-eyed Fred.

Bob had no clue why this guy never moved, but it was his own fault. He either was slow, or had too much faith in his captain.
Bob stood in front of One-eyed Fred and had the tip of his sword to One-eyed Fred's throat.
The pirates already reloaded their guns and had it aimed at Bob.
"Who do you think will be faster. Me with my blade, or them with their guns?"
One-eyed Fred stared at Bob, his heart started to beat. He was not going down without a fight, he just needed something.
Bob watched One-eyed Fred complipate something. It didn't matter to Bob, in a few seconds he'd be able to use two of his skills again.
One-eyed Fred started to laugh.
"Fire! Fire!"
He commanded the pirates in there to start shooting.
Even if he died, he was going to take Bob down with him.
"Fool!"
Bob said as he slashed One-eyed Fred's throat.
His sword was quick, One-eyed Fred had no time to react at all. Bob quickly moved away, and bullets started flying.
He managed to dodge by rolling on the ground, as he got up he activated Spellblade and started swinging his blade.
The pirates with guns started dropping like flies.
Once they were taken care of, Bob overlooked the others fights.
John was sweating hard as he dealt the finishing blow to his opponent, causing the large man to fall to the ground.
The 5 aspiring bounty hunters were all huffing and puffing after their fight. They stood strong and fought together. It was 5 against many, but they overcame it.
Each one of them had cuts and bruises all over their body, which Bob would take care of once his skill was off cooldown.
As for Ron he was still clashing with the woman.
She was a devil fruit user just like Ron, but she was able to turn her body into parts of an owl.
Bob figured from how owls worked, she'd rather fight at night time when she'd have superior vision against her prey. Yet she was still pushing Ron back.
Bob looked over and John.
"Who do you think will win this?"
"Hard to say. Kid's not using his gun, using those daggers instead. He's not used to them, but for his first time i'm impressed that he's held on this far."
Bob nodded his head as he threw a Grand Blessing on to Ron, rejuvenating him and healing his wounds.
Grand Blessing seemed to work well on minor damage, but it still needed to be tested on other type.
Bob looked at Stonehead Brian who was still bleeding out.
'Perfect!'
Bob found himself a person to experiment on, as for the 5 aspiring bounty hunters and John, they could wait.

The Normal Dungeon Core: Lethe
Just a normal, standard, no extra frills or gills, dungeon core LitRPG novel in a fantastical world. And as usual, a system exists! Prologue: You know all those stories about reincarnation? Where our beloved (or hated) protagonists are transferred to a new world to conquer, defeat the demon lord, rescue the princess. or are made into mythical gems of power with control over Monsters and Men (psst..a dungeon core)? Where they get a cheat-like ability, are special, granted privileges, or have knowledge from another world? Well, I read about them too in my spare time before I came here. At least, I think I did. Now, you might be asking, where is 'here' ? To answer your somewhat specific, yet vague, question my dear audience...I don't know! But what I do know is that...well nothing other than I had a past life...I think... Anyway...You are correct in assuming that I was indeed reincarnated into a dungeon core! But... ..I have no idea who I was. ...I don't seem to have any special powers or skills or cheats. ....And I was specifically told by Mr. S that I am not, and never will be, "special." Now, if you are confused, then I'm doing a great job, because you probably have no idea what I'm talking about, I haven't given you a background story, or taken you through the last few hours of my new existence. We will get to that! I promise! The main reason I am telling you this absurd and completely delusional preface, is to introduce to you the idea that I, as in me, the new dungeon core, am not "special".............. With that out of the way, how about we rewind time a bit to when I...developed my consciousness? Yes? Great! Lets goooooo! ---------
