《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 21 - Dick and Larry

With John and Ron by his side, Bob felt like a big shot. Ron's presence couldn't really be felt, but just the air he was giving off caused the people on the streets to move to the side. John's aura could also be felt, his was more bloodthirsty.
With the 5 newly recruited bounty hunters behind them, Bob looked like a big shot pirate.
People must have assumed so as they quickly scattered when he walked.
"Who's he?"
"I have no idea, must be another pirate."
"That one on his side with the sword, why does he look so scary?"
Bob could hear the murmurs of the citizens. He wasn't sure how he felt.
Bob couldn't ignore what he was hearing, but he couldn't do anything about it for now.
"So where is this place exactly located?"
John asked Bob.
"We'll you just came from the tavern, and you said you did not see a one-eyed person in there. So i'm assuming they'll be on the west side of the island then."
"The west side could mean a lot of things, we could be searching all day."
"We'll be fine John!"
As their small group continued to walk towards the west side of the island, things became much more different. Bob could see more rough looking men dressed in shabby clothing with piercings and tattoos all over their body. By their side were pistols or sabres.
Bob didn't want to be one to judge, but these guys all looked like trouble making pirates to him.
"See John, we already found some. Just get one or two, beat them up and have them lead us to their captain."
Bob said.
John looked behind him and pointed to two of the 5 aspiring bounty hunters.

"Alright, Larry and Dick you two are up. Go snatch up one or two pirates and bring them over here."
"Yes sir!"
Larry and Dick said in unison as the walked forward towards a small group of pirates.
Larry was tall, Bob assumed he was 6 feet tall. He didn't have much muscle on his body, but he had a long pole. With his long arms and the pole, he could keep his opponents at bay.
As for Dick, Dick was the opposite of Larry he was short but had muscle. His weapon was the brass wrapped around his knucles.
"Hey you two, yeah i'm talking to you where's your boss?"
Larry asked two pirates that were seated on crates playing cards.
The two pirates looked at Larry and fanned their hand.
"Go away kid, we don't have time for you."
"You caught us on our good day, if it was any other time we'd beat you up and take your money."
The two pirates quickly dismissed Larry.
He did not look like much and by the tone of his voice, he did not sound like much of a threat. So why should they be afraid of the twig?
"See Larry, I told you, you need to be more direct in your actions."
Dick said as he walked up to the two pirates.
"What? Here to stand up for your buddy?"
One of the pirates asked Dick.
Dick threw a punch at him. It was heavy too, had all his strength behind it.
The pirate fell straight out and so did his tooth. Dick kicked him but he didn't move one bit.
Dick looked at the other pirate.
"So, you ready to talk or you want to end up like him."
The pirate was stunned seeing his partner knocked out cold, but hearing Dick he reacted. He tossed the crate they were using for their cards up at Dick. Dick blocked it with his hand.

In that moment the pirate reached for his pistol, but Larry put the end of the pole to his neck.
"You move, you die."
Larry said.
Dick looked at Larry and nodded.
"That's more like it Larry. And you, who told you to play dirty, I outta…"
Dick was about to let his emotions get to him, but calmed himself down.
The pirate spit on the ground and raised his chin.
"You don't know who you're messing with. If you're so eager to die, then i'll lead you to your death!"
"We got him to lead us to his captain!"
Dick yelled out towards Bob and John.
Bob looked at John.
"They could still use a bit of work, but so far so good."
"I'll remember that and train them harder."
John replied to Bob.
"Alright, lead the way we'll follow behind you."
The pirate who was captured looked at Ron, Bob and John. Out of the three, John looked the most dangerous but he felt that his captain could still take him.
