《Quicksword Bob》Chapter 8 - Payday

Dave was not sure what Bob meant by that but it felt sincere.
"Thanks!"
Bob looked down at the four men passed out on the floor. Jimmy bragged about being a wanted man for 10 million beli, Bob could use that. Any sort of money would help him out towards his goal of finishing his ultimate build.
However, he heard that the base commander on this island was corrupt. Meaning he'd need to replace the base commander here, or go somewhere else to turn Jimmy in.
Bob put that to the side for now, he wasn't sure of his own strength but there was only one way to see what his limit was. He needed to fight strong people or large groups of people.
With Greybread coming to find him eventually, Bob could see if he can handle a man worth 50 million beli. Granted, it wasn't much if you compared him to Luffy considering Luffy had 30 million for him first.
His first year his bounty just continued to shoot up constantly, going as far as 300 million within his first year at sea.
If Bob had any sort of thoughts about saving Ace in the future, he'd need to be able to handle pirates with higher bounties than Luffy as well as strength.
Greybread was just a stepping stone to a much higher realm.
That's only if he would survive.
"No need for thanks. I imagined my first time out at sea I would meet someone cool, maybe learn something or bide my time wisely. Seems fate has something else in store for me though."
"While fate may have something in store for you, are you sure you do not want to run away?"
Bob smiled but said no words. Instead he turned around and went back to his stool.
"Sorry about the commotion, everything should be settled here shortly. I'll pay you for any damages once I turn in their bounties."

The woman sucked in the air, she was beyond shocked. Going by his words, wouldn't that mean he was planning on taking care of Greybread?
Greybread was notorious, she never imagined that someone one could for his head. Even the marines here did nothing to him.
"Don't worry about it. If you do happen to get their bounties, and save us from their control you can eat here free for as long as you like."
Bob's eyes grew wide.
Free food? Who'd turn that down? No one!
"Alright you said it not me. You can't take your words back now."
Bob sat there and waited patiently for Greybread to come. Twenty minutes later he could hear many footsteps approaching. Clearly it was more than one or two people, more like an army.
A few seconds later, a lean man entered the tavern. His upper body was bare showcasing his muscles.
"Whose the one that disrespected the Greybeard Pirates?"
Bob raised his hand.
"That'd be me."
The man was startled, he figured everyone would keep their mouths shut. That's what he'd do in this situation.
"We don't want to do anymore damage to the tavern, we'll be coming here again later for drinks. Wouldn't be good if we felt the cold wind over our shoulders. How about you come out here and face our boss."
Bob hopped down from his stool.
"I have no problems with that, but first let me ask you. How much is your entire crew worth?"
"Ah! It's too late to be getting scared now, you should have run away before we arrived. If you must know, our crews total bounty is 100 million beli!"
"It won't be a bad payday today then."
Bob said as he walked towards the entrance of the tavern.
He could see Dave sweating, but he did not have any idea as to why. Dave did nothing wrong so he shouldn't worry about any retaliation. Maybe he still assumed Bob would lose.

If he was in any real danger, he'd just activate Judgement and become immune to all damage while he ran for his life.
That was also a real why Bob wasn't afraid to face this many enemies. Being immune to all sorts of damage was a godlike skill.
As soon as Bob stepped outside he saw the looks of a hundred men. All looking down on him. He could feel the bloodlust they were emitting.
In the center was a man who looked elderly, he had a long grey beard. It reached his chest and was tied into a braid. Just from this feature alone Bob knew this man had to be grey beard.
"So you're the one who caused my men trouble huh? I'm not going to have you beg and ask for forgiveness, instead i'll just kill you."
Bob laughed.
"Good, good."
Greybeard raised his arm and it turned into a ravens claw. He then pushed off the ground and darted straight for Bob.
As soon as he moved, all his crew members moved as well.
This was not going to be a 1 vs 1 fight. Instead, it was Bob against their entire crew.
Bob drew Black Death and grinned.
He activated Spellblade causing a white flame to cover the blade, then he used Grand Blessing for a temporary speed boost.
His figured almost seemed to disappear causing the pirates to be confused.
"Where is he?"
"He was just here!"
"Over here fools!"
Bob yelled out from a distance of 20 feet. He started swinging Black Death left and right, in a fluid motion. White crescent arcs of fire flew out from his blade, each one aimed at the group of pirates.
With each of his swings, Bob felt his movements become faster and faster.
The crescent arcs landed and caused a small explosion each time they touched one of the pirates.
For Bob it was five seconds of pure enjoyment as he tormented these pirates. For them, it was hell on earth.
The hundred pirates quickly turned into thirty something.
Scorch marks were on the bodies of the pirates on the ground. Bob couldn't see their chest moving so he assumed they were dead.
'This… is a bit more powerful than I first imagined.'
Greybeard was furious, seventy percent of his crew was taken out in a matter of seconds. This was a serious matter! This man in front of him was a big shot, so why was he here on this small island?
Before he finished his thoughts, a white portal emerged from his left side and an energy clone appeared from it. The clone did a quick slash with its sword as it cut through Greybeards body.
Greybeard thought he would die right there, but he was wrong. Nothing happened to him, the blade just passed right through his body.
Just when he thought he was safe, Bob was in front of him. He was already in the motion of slashing at Greybeard.
Greybeard turned his hand into a Ravenclaw to try and stop it, but the blade went through his hand like butter.
Bob did not just stop at his hand, the blade sliced through his upper body with ease as well.
Even Bob was shocked. There was no feeling of bones being cut through, it just felt like one smooth motion.
'Is this the effect of having their resistances reduced? Sucks it doesn't do damage, but this isn't bad. Too bad I can't find out the amount reduced."
The rest of the pirates saw their captain be cut in half. They dropped their weapons turned tail and ran away as fast as they could.
None of them were stupid to continue to fight against Bob.

In Another World with Doraemon's 4D Pocket
Cary found himself awoken in a foreign land with what he thought was a nondescript white pouch. Reaching into the white pouch, he was able to pull out an assortment of gadgets that he recognized to be from his favorite childhood show, Doraemon. With the thousands of mischievous, powerful gadgets inside the 4D pocket, Cary will take on this new world by storm! Something ridiculous I will write purely for fun alongside my main story Giantslayer As a disclaimer, I may nerf some of the most broken gadgets or even not use them at all. Doraemon was insane for a children manga (e.g. Doraemon canonically has a nuclear bomb inside his 4D pocket), some of the gadgets have the potential to end this story in one chapter. The most important factor is fun so anything that completely breaks the story might not be mentioned at all (or we will pretend they do not exist in the 4D pocket). We may find uses for those broken gadgets in the future, though. I am not particularly good at writing comedy. There will of course be funny moments (at least I hope they are funny) but everyone in this story will actually behave in a realistic(?) and serious manner. I want the serious world to contrast with some of the wacky gadgets that are available.
